I only write about fictional characters.
I donât write with second parts in mind so, unless itâs indicated, there probably wonât be one.
If you want to request a second part to something, please also make suggestions for it.
It is not guaranteed that I write requests - I always try my best to write them all but unfortunately, if I cannot find inspiration then not all of them get written.
I struggle with taglists A LOT so, I donât do them. Youâre better off turning on the notifications for this blog (Iâm not a nuisance, I literally only posts fics on here).
I check every blog that follows me- if your blog is void of anything that indicates human life, I will block you.
I write for my own enjoyment which means at my own pace. I don't like feeling pressured to write quicker- updates will come when they come. Please do not ask.

abby whoâs been flirting back and forth with you for a couple of weeks now and just really wants to find a way to impress you because for some reason you never go out in the field? who still doesnât quite understand why the others refuse to let you on patrols or anywhere near a gun despite you (and others) warning her about what a terrible shot you are. who rolls her eyes with a scoff and says âno oneâs that badâ. who thinks she can use this as a learning opportunity but really itâs just a way to get close to you and show off. who decides âpractice makes perfectâ so she takes you to the shooting range to help you practice because âhow bad a shot can a person be?â and laughs everyoneâs concerns off. whoâs just thinking with her clit as she leads you to the shooting range and how sheâll be able to curl her body around you, her hands sliding over yours to show you how to handle such a lethal weapon properly until⌠you accidentally discharge the firearm before you even reach the booth and accidentally shoot her in the ass. itâs just a flesh wound but now she gets it. at least your hands arenât clumsy with the bandages like they were with the gun as you gently clean the wound and put a dressing on it while profusely apologising. she canât even be mad because she was warned by you (and several others) about what a bad idea it was but, thatâs all white noise to her because the only thing abby can think about is how this was not how she imagined you seeing her bare ass for the first time.
Abby Anderson who doesnât have a subtle bone in her body and a fat crush on you. Who just found out that the feeling is mutual and upon seeing you for the first time since hearing you liked her too, immediately opens with so- uh, I hear, that, maybe youâre uh- into blonde-haired, blue-eyed girls? Her neck and ears immediately flushing when you roll your eyes and say, yeah I also like it when they have freckled shoulders and wear their hair in the same singular braid everyday. You realise Noraâs the only person I told, right? She comes clean after that, a red-faced and squirming mess under your gaze and yeah, you could put the poor girl out her misery but, you were enjoying watching her get all flustered far too much for your own good.
abby is literally a gym rat. you cannot convince me that her sex drive isnât through the roof and we donât talk enough about it like- that girl is HORNY!

Warnings/Content (not chapter specific): NOT edited. Based in canon TLOU2 universe (video game). Angst. Fluff. Hurt. Comfort. Grief. Guilt. Heartbreak. Unhealthy relationship dynamics. Emotional cheating. Friendship. Romance. Major character death. Violence. Ellie makes an incest joke (one time). Porn (mentioned). Quote out of context.
Summary: 'A friend for the girl,' Marlene told Joel and Tess, despite them not knowing each other. Your friendship with Ellie is forged through fire as you travelled across the country with her and Joel to deliver her to the Fireflies at Saint Mary's Hospital in Salt Lake City. Until it all falls apart. An unspoken pact is made and secret kept between you and Joel about what happened that night at the hospital. You bury it deep. Tell yourself you're doing it to protect Ellie but, who protects Ellie from you when everything starts to unravel.
Snippets following the canon game timeline in TLOU2 and the different stages of your relationship with Ellie as you navigate your romance with her, guilt for withholding the truth about what happened in Salt Lake City, that same truth unravelling and Joel's eventual death.
Word Count: 1382.
A/N: I've been really wanting to write an in-universe/canon Ellie fic. So, here it is. The number in the title is their age. I will try to keep this linear but, it will likely bounce between different times/ages. Each part will be kept short. I dont imagine Ellie to be super tall to be honest. Probably only slightly taller than reader. Divider: @/strangergraphics
It is better to be unhappy and know the worst, than to be happy in a foolâs paradise.
You read the words in an open diary atop a small desk squeezed into the corner of a bedroom in an abandoned apartment you had been picking through during a sweep with Joel, and Ellie.Â
It sits next to a small orange and white paperback book with a penguin on it. Identical to the countless orange penguin books youâd found squeezed in between bookshelves, desk drawers and atop coffee tables. You had found the orange style peculiar and asked Maria about it.
'Penguin books, huh? They were a publisher- before the outbreak. Obviously. Very popular. There wasn't a single bookshop that didn't sell them.'
You started collecting them after that. Some of them, a different colour: dark blue, green, pink. On rare occasions, yellow or purple. You were still holding out hope that you might find a new colour and Maria was sure of it. Said she was pretty certain each colour had a meaning but she couldnât recall. Youâd been trying to figure it out for yourself but, you hadnât collected enough to put it together just yet.Â
You donât mean to read the open diary as you pick up the small orange book beside it but, it was hard not to. Despite the withered pages, the words are hard not to notice, scribbled in angry black letters and written over several times again.
The words cut through you like a knife and you snap the diary shut with a flick of your wrist. Dust billows out from between the pages and dances between the broken shards of light that filter in through the boarded window.Â
âWhat you got there?â Ellie asks from where she appears in the doorframe.
You plaster a grin on your face, trying not to think of the angry black letters and show her the book. Ellie didnât quite understand your obsession but she supported it wholeheartedly. Plucking the book from between your fingers, she moves around you to prop herself on the edge of the desk and reads the title aloud-
âThe Picture of Dorian Gray. Oscar Wilde.â
She turns the book over and takes a moment to read the back. When she's done, she holds it out to you.
âSounds interesting, Iâll let you know if it is.âÂ
âAmazing,â you sing, taking it back and sliding it into your open back pack on the bed
That was how you and Ellie worked. You didnât really care to read the books. You just liked to collect them. It was Ellie who would do the reading then she'd tell you about it, tucked beneath the sheets in whispers in the dark. Once she was finished, you'd add it to one of the growing piles stacked on your bedroom floor.Â
âFind anything else?â Ellie asks while she waits for you to zip up.Â
âAside from the book?âÂ
Your eyes flicker over to her and sheâs looking at something behind her.Â
âNah. This place is pretty picked over.âÂ
âWhat about this?â Ellie asks, pulling the diary out from underneath her. She attempts to flip through the pages but it falls open to where it had been stuck for the last twenty or so years.Â
âIt is better to be unhappy and know the worst, than to be happy in a foolâs- what the fuck?â Ellie finishes.Â
You snap the diary shut - again - and place it back on the desk.Â
âItâs rude to read other peopleâs diaries.â you defend pathetically.Â
âYou realise that person's probably dead, right?â Ellie snorts.
You shrug your shoulders, trying to appear nonchalant.
âStill rude.â
Ellie watches you for a moment but throws her arms up in surrender, pushing off of the desk and heading back toward the entrance.
âAlright then. If you say so.â
âI say so.âÂ
âBut what do you think?â Ellie calls over her shoulder.Â
âWhat do you mean, what do I think?â
You follow her out of the room and down the hallway, emerging in the living room. Ellie stands in the front doorway, her voice dropping.Â
âWould you rather- â she pauses.Â
Distracted; eyes sweeping around the hallway of front doors. As if she was checking to see if something or someone was nearby. Hopefully not a straggler. You approach her carefully, pulling your gun from its holster.
âKnow the worst and be unhappy or be happy in a foolâs paradise?âÂ
Your head snaps toward her, taken aback by the question. Not only had she read the angry black letters but, she had memorised them too.
âWell?â Ellie asks again, gaze flickering toward you and back when you donât answer.Â
âUm- I⌠be happy in a foolâs paradise.â
A lie. You had to because she was the fool in paradise.
Ellie makes a face, standing up straight and looking down at you. âReally?âÂ
âI mean, yeah,â you breathe a laugh. Trying to make it sound as if it were the obvious answer. âHave you seen the world we live in? Why wouldnât I want to be happy?âÂ
âI donât know,â Ellie says, eyebrows furrowing. âI think Iâd want to know the worst and be unhappy. I hate liars.âÂ
Heat pricks at the back of your neck, eyes fixed down the hallway and staring at nothing. Chest to chest, youâre unable to meet her gaze as you slowly nod your understanding, skin of your bottom lip trapped between your teeth as you separate the layer. Her words sting and you wince from the pull. Youâre a liar.
âMe too,â you agree.Â
Finally looking up at her, you change the topic. âWhat were you looking at?â
Ellie grins. âNothing, just wanted to do this.â
Cupping your chin in one hand she presses a kiss to your lips. Itâs short and sweet but, stings with words unsaid and when she pulls back, sheâs smiling like a Cheshire cat before, she dips back down to press another quick kiss to your lips.
âYouâre cheeky,â you whisper against her lips as she goes for a third.
âYou love it,â she chuckles.Â
âGirls!â Joel yells from the floor below. âBuildings clear, letâs go.â
Ellie startles back from the sudden interruption but doesnât get very far, her back hitting the frame youâre both standing in between.Â
Joel didnât know. Not yet at least. Your feelings for Ellie were old but the relationship was new. Only a couple of weeks old. You had sworn you wouldnât go there with Ellie. But, a bottle of dark liquor stolen by Dina from the Tipsy Bison to share between a small group of you and a game of Truth or Dare later and Ellie knew by the morning how you felt about her after Jesse pulled the answer out of you. It was all the confirmation Ellie needed to pursue you and you let her. You shouldnât have but, you did. Heart overriding head.
âYou know, we have to tell him about us at some point,â Ellie brushes a strand of your hair behind your ear. She presses a kiss at the point below there.
You do but, you were reluctant. You could already hear Joelâs voice in your ear, telling you what a bad idea it was. Telling you what you already knew. That it would only hurt more if the truth ever got out. So, then we better make sure we keep it to ourselves.Â
âYâknow, I actually think Joelâd be cool about it. I mean his two best girls dating each other? He'd never have to worry about boys. Dream come true, if you ask me.âÂ
You make a face, nose wrinkling.Â
âI⌠donât think thatâs how heâd feel at all. Pretty sure he thinks us both as his daughters.âÂ
Ellieâs face falls flat, nose wrinkling in disgust. It only lasts a second before she's looking at you mischievously.Â
âI mean that could be kinda hot, if you think about it. Some step sis, big sis, little sis action-â
âOh my god,â you cut her off, mortified. âYou need to stop raiding Eugeneâs porn stash.âÂ
âWhat?â she laughs. âItâs kinda funny.â
You grimace.Â
âGirls!â
âComing!â you call back then quickly peck Ellie. âWeâll tell him soon. Just not yet.âÂ
âWhatever you say, big sis- ow!â she cries, rubbing where you pinch her.

Hunter!Sevika who has kept Zaun almost entirely free from Vampires and Werewolves for close to two decades because just like the creatures she hunts, Sevika bites too- her canine teeth capped with silver fanged grills that were blessed with holy water that she uses often to rip out the throats of those that go bump in the night.
But then there's little old vampire you. Sevika doesn't know what it is about you but, she just can't seem to find it in herself to just do her job and kill you- she tells herself itâs because youâre not as bad as you could be. Only killing the occasional person here and there.
Although, if she did her job and put an end to you then you wouldnât be able to kill anyone anymore.
But, how could she do such a thing as kill you when you moan and mewl so pretty for her every time she's buried three fingers deep in you? Pretty vampire like youâ five-hundred-years old, all powerful creature with the ability to snap her neck in a seconds notice sitting naked, vulnerable and falling apart in her lap? The power went straight to her head and the sight straight to her cunt.Â
Teeth grazing against the side of your neck, the sting of Sevika's blessed fangs burn deliciously against your skin, your walls squeezing around her as your hips jerk in her hold. Your breath begins to pick up, whines becoming louder as you grind even more desperately onto her thick fingers.
Sevika's breath is hot against your skin as she chuckles lowly, her tongue laving over the same spot before whispering "cum for me, pretty girl" and sinking her silver fangs into your neck. Your body burns red-hot, the searing sensation blinding you like white-light as your body seizes and your head falls back in a silent moan at the searing sensation as Sevika continues to work her fingers in and out of you, her thumb flicking lazily at your clit. It's the perfect blend of pleasure and pain and her bite is exactly what you need to reach your peak as you're sent hurtling over the edge and straight into your orgasm.
Your hand finds purchase behind you, resting atop Sevika's muscled thigh to steady yourself as you catch your breath, eyes fluttering open to gaze headily at her.
Sevika is leant back against the headboard, a smirk playing at the corner of her blood-stained lips. Her gaze is zeroed in on your neck, lips widening in a smug grin and flashing you her teeth; silver fangs glinting under the moonlight and smeared red with blood that also stains her otherwise white teeth.
Her hand darts forward and cups the back of your neck, tilting your head to the side and exposing your neck to her, her grin growing as she swipes the blood that drips from the fresh puncture wounds that decorate your jugular with her thumb- it would scar from the holy water and join the dozen or so other scars that she had littered across your body from your neck down to your breasts and the inside of your thighs.
Bringing her thumb to her lips, Sevika sucks the red from its tip, before moving onto her other fingers to suck your slick off of them too. Her keen senses immediately picking up the way the action sends another wave of pleasure through you- your pupils blowing out, chest heaving, own fangs descending.
Yeah. She was never getting rid of you.

summary: enforcer!vi forgets her goal in her pursuit of a violent criminal that she's been tasked with investigating and bringing to justice.
warnings: smut (not super detailed). vi being a cop and kinda weird. grammar, spelling, tense mistakes. unedited.

Enforcer!Vi whoâs been placed by the Sheriff at the helm of a specialised strike team tasked with investigating and bringing the Zaunite criminal responsible for the string of violently escalating break-ins targeting the houses of several upper class members of Piltover society including members of the Council to justice.
Enforcer!Vi who scoffs at the supposed light work because bringing down Zaunite criminals has become her bread and butter since joining the Piltover Police Department because she was once a Zaunite criminal herself.Â
Enforcer!Vi who is making unusually quick advancements on the investigationâ even for her - because she finds something strangely familiar and oddly comforting about the way the criminal operates.Â
Enforcer!Vi who is easily predicting what the criminal's next move will be and is able to make impossible connections that no one else in her team has been able to; connections that even she canât really explain, âI just knowâ she says and sheâs right. every. time.
Enforcer!Vi who slowly finds herself becoming inexplicably infatuated with the criminal in question; infatuation that is very quickly turning into possessiveness so, she goes to the Sheriff requesting the strike team be dissolved so she can pursue the criminal on her own.Â
Enforcer!Vi who begins tampering with her own investigation by planting evidence to purposely mislead her strike team so she can carry out the investigation on her own because she doesnât want anyone else working on it and the Sheriff denied her request to dissolve the strike team.Â
Enforcer!Vi who keeps getting so close to capturing the criminal, now having glimpsed the delicious silhouette of her suspect several times, the criminal always only just slipping through her fingers.
Enforcer!Vi who begins spending day and night holed up in her office, poring over the investigation and obsessing over the unknown and yet seemingly familiar criminal.Â
Enforcer!Vi who knows the criminal is playing games with her, games that sheâs becoming all too willing to indulge- drawing pleasure from the rush it brings her.
Enforcer!Vi who isnât really trying to catch the criminal anymore because sheâs beginning to gain a twisted sense of hedonistic pleasure from the cat-and-mouse that theyâve been playing.Â
Enforcer!Vi whoâs spending more and more of the nights in her office with her hand down the front of her uniformed pants than on the investigation itself, bringing herself to climax at the thought of the criminal.Â
Enforcer!Vi who doesnât have many friends left from her childhoodâ the reminder that everyone she once held dearest, were all gone, simply too painful for her to bear so, itâs not something she likes to think about.Â
Enforcer!Vi who especially never wants to think about her childhood best friend who lived two doors down in the shabby, run-down, apartment building.
Enforcer!Vi who no matter how much access to information her position gave her, no matter how many strings she pulled and resources she used, no matter how high or low she searched, never did figure out what happened to her childhood best friend - to you - during the time she was locked up; you simply just⌠disappeared.
Enforcer!Vi who thought less and less of you as she worked her way up the ranks of the Piltover Police Department and made her own name amongst her colleagues.
Enforcer!Vi who every now and then is violently reminded of you when she least expects it- two little girls zipping past her with toothy grins as they run from whatever trouble theyâve caused; hands clinging clumsily to one another. A passing scent in the wind like honey, fresh bread and the woods just after a downpour of rain. A wind-chime laugh in the distance that sounds exactly like yours- melodic and warm against her skin like the sun when it would peak through the Zaun Grey. The same wind-chime laugh that rings throughout the Kiramman mansion in her pursuit of the criminal that she has just realised is you.
Enforcer!Vi who convinced Jayce to take Caitlyn out for the night with Mel because she figured out that the Kiramman mansion would be your next target.Â
Enforcer!Vi who bursts into Caitlynâs bedroom seconds after hearing your laugh and is completely caught off guard by the sight of you perched on the end of Caitlynâs bed, waiting for her with a sly grin.Â
Enforcer!Vi who subconsciously knew at the back of her mind that it was you the whole time but, couldn't allow herself to go down that road for fear of false hope but here you were-
Enforcer!Vi who deactivates her gauntlets, the heavy weapons hitting the ground with a solid thud and approaches you slowly, completely in awe that after years of agonising over your fate- you're actually here, right in front of her.
Enforcer!Vi who places a callused but gentle hand on your jaw, caressing the soft skin as she memorises the feeling of you beneath her fingertips; watching you keen underneath her touch, your face turning into her hand as you rub your cheek against her hand like a kitten- Vi was sure if you could, youâd be purring too.
Enforcer!Vi whose hand slides into your hair, gentle at first before sheâs roughly gripping the strands in her fist and pulling you up by your hair so you're eye level with her before slamming her lips against yours, kissing you fervently and moaning into the kiss as you return the kiss just as eagerly; all tongue, teeth and spit as she licks into your mouth.Â
Enforcer!Vi whose hands slide around your body, meeting in the centre of your back to grip the material of your bodysuit and ripping it open as your own hands eagerly work the buttons of her enforcer uniform.
Enforcer!Vi who suddenly gasps into the kiss when you switch positions, pushing her roughly down onto the bed, watching entranced as you remove the rest of your body suit and get to work with ridding her of the rest of her clothes.Â
Enforcer!Vi whose teeth bite into her lip as you crawl up her body, trailing kisses along the way, one hand hidden behind your back as you suckle one of her nipplesâ Viâs back arching and pushing her nipple further into your mouth as she moans wantonly.Â
Enforcer!Vi whoâs so lost in your touch and you that she doesnât take notice of the glinting metal in your hand as you press kisses into her neck, your hands sliding up her arms, pushing them above her head until itâs too late and the glinting metal slides cooly around her wrists as you cuff her with her own handcuffs to the headboard-Â
Enforcer!Vi who initially fights against the biting silver but is quickly subdued as your tongue dips into her wet heat.Â
Enforcer!Vi who writhes in pleasure as you fuck her with your fingers and tongue, bringing her to climax over and over again; whoâs overstimulated, body flushed red but, hips still eagerly bucking to meet yours as you grind your cunt into hers for one final climaxâ Viâs eyes rolling into the back of her head as she squirts all over Caitlynâs sheets.Â
Enforcer!Vi whose eyelids are heavy and drooping, whoâs so fucked out that she doesnât notice the way your lip curls in disdain at her as you slide back into your bodysuit (albeit itâs busted), slip out of the bedroom through the open balcony doors and disappear into the night.Â
Enforcer!Vi whoâs suddenly woken by shouts and loud banging, the double doors of Caitlynâs bedroom being violently and suddenly kicked in.Â
Enforcer!Vi who has no idea how to explain to her ex-girlfriend, Sheriff!Caitlyn why sheâs naked with a blanket thrown over her, handcuffed to the headboard of Caitlynâs bed and all of the Kiramman family jewels stolen.

Youâre distracted. You canât help it. Sevika is distracting.
She sits on the couch, tools scattered across the coffee table in front of her as she does her weekly service on her mechanical arm with a cigarette hanging loosely from between her lips; her legs spread and looking all too inviting as her arm flexes with each turn of the screwdriver, the glow from the muted television highlighting every curve, dip and plane of her muscular body.
You roll your shoulders, legs shuffling and thighs squeezing together as a familiar ache heats your body.
âYou distracted, baby?â Sevika chuckles, deep and raspy.
Your eyes flicker up toward hers and sheâs already looking at you, stormy gray eyes piercing into yours. She drops the screwdriver on the table, cigarette burning in the ashtray as she leans back against the couch with a smug look on her face, arms resting across the back of the couch and legs spreading wider.
She knows exactly what sheâs doing to you.
You swallow thickly, âNo. Why? Are you?â
Denial is a river in Egypt.
âMaybe I amâŚâ she says slowly, hand travelling down to the buckle of her belt. âWhy donât you come over here and help me out, Princess?â
-
âSevika, this is not what I thought you had in mind when you said to help you out,â you scowl down at her figure from where you stand beside her.
âWell⌠I didnât say what kind of helpââ she reaches up, nudging your hand a little higher. âHold the torch properly, baby, I need to be able to see the cylinder properly.â
âSevika!â

A/N: Wow. I really, really can't stick with my own rules. It was so easy to go down the angst route with this prompt but, I love Mel and I wanted romance/fluff with her so, that's what I did BUT there is also an angst version of this that is very much written and completed that I may or may not post one day.
Mel exhales deeply through her nose, eyes flickering over to the open window.Â
The roomâs darkness is broken up by slivers of silver that slip through the sheer sway of the curtain, shadows dancing in circles around the room.Â
Rolling onto her side, her arm hooks around you, dragging your sleeping body toward her- the curves and lines of your body fitting perfectly into her own, back pressed deliciously to her front as she peppers soft kisses along your arm, over the round of your shoulder and up your neck to wake you up.
âDarling,â she sings against your skin. âItâs time to wake up, we have to get ready.â
-
Thereâs a rush of blood in your ears, your skin feeling hot and clammy despite the cool weather; body wired with tension as you near your destination.
Your heels click against the marble floor, the two of you walking side by side, back of your hands brushing against one another as you make your way to the Great Hall in silence.Â
Elora walks ahead of you both, glancing over her shoulder every now and then to make sure that neither of you had made a run for it.
With good reason as well, Melâs childhood companion knew full well how antsy the two of you could get at the beginning of Polite Society Balls.Â
Especially at the annual Medarda Masquerade Ball.Â
Despite being the hosts for almost eight years, neither of you could ever shake the nerves.Â
Of course, your nerves were incomparable to Melâs.
It was, after all, her family name attached to the lavish event.Â
Casting a sideways glance at your wife, youâd never be able to tell she was affected.
With a straight back and her head held high, Mel glides gracefully toward the two enormous, ornate doors of the Great Hall.Â
Her red and golden gown billowing out around her like flames licking up her body; your own gown perfectly matched and complimentary of hers.
To the untrained eye, she was the picture of poise and composure always but she was your wife.Â
You knew her better than anyone.Â
So, despite her steely elegance, you noted the way her chest rose and fell a little faster than what was her norm, the slight tremble in her hands, the way her thumb fiddled against the golden Medarda ring on her pointer finger.
Hands brushing one another again, you latch onto hers this time, fingers weaving between hers.
âIâm with you,â you whisper, squeezing her hand reassuringly and she squeezes back, her hand releasing yours to slide up your arm and rest in the crease of your elbow.
-
The ornate doors open with a loud push from the guards, the two of you entering the ballroom as the clock strikes ten.Â
Timing as impeccable as the woman on your arm.
Thereâs light applause as the two of you enter and greet the guests from all over Runeterra as you lead Mel to the octagonal shaped dance floor.
A circle of seven other couples stand posed and waiting on the two of you for the first dance of the night- The Courting of The Wolf - to signal the commencement of the two-night event.Â
Turning Mel toward you, you take her hand in yours and purposefully place your other hand where the cut-out of her dress exposes her skin.
Using your new-found grip, you press her body closer to yours; feeling the way her body shivers against yours at the action.
âHello,â you whisper, attempting to lighten the mood and it pulls a soft smile from Mel.
âAny closer and we might become one,â Mel teases but leans further into your touch.Â
âYou would tease me with such fantasies in front of all these people, my love?â you grin, hand sliding further into the cut of her dress and resting on her lower back.
The bold move has her eyes widening before they become soft and pliant.Â
Everyone else in the room falling away as desire seats itself in the pit of her stomach and she tries to press herself even closer to you, not a single gap between your bodies- you think it's nerves.
The Great Hall comes to a halting silence- guests both on and around the dance floor awaiting the nonet.Â
It's just you and me, you mouth to Mel.
âJust you and me?â Mel whispers and sheâs close enough you can feel her breath against your lips.
You hum your confirmation.Â
âSoâŚâ she pauses for a beat.
Eyes flickering down to your lips, her tongue darts out to wet her own and you realise it's no longer nerves but, something else.
âIf I ask you to kiss me in front of all these people, will you do it?âÂ
Music fills the hall, before you can answer.Â
Both of your bodies move on instinct and muscle memory.
Moving in perfect sync with each other, you glide clockwise around the dance floor with the seven other couples.
You had danced The Courting of The Wolf so many times before with Mel - it was the first dance the two of you ever danced together and your first dance at your wedding.
The dance was seared into your memory and heart along with Mel.
You could dance it perfectly in your sleep.
So, despite the distraction, you slip your hand from the cut of her dress in perfect timing and twirl her into the arms of the next dancer as someone else slides into yours.Â
If I ask you to kiss me in front of all these people, will you do it?
Her words echo in your ear as you twirl your current dancing partner from your arms and welcome the next.Â
Mel can feel your eyes on her and she makes it a point of avoiding your gaze but, even in the dimmed lighting you can see the playful smirk pulling at the corner of her lips as she moves elegantly into the next person's arms.
Not bothering to look at the person in front of you, your gaze continues to follow her around the room until sheâs back in your arms.Â
âMiss me?â she teases, eyelashes fluttering and it takes everything for you not to drag her out of the ballroom and back into your bedroom.
So, you do the next best thing and decide to honour her request. Â
Not bothering to answer, you break from the pack.Â
Surprise flits briefly across her features but she doesnât falter as the two of you continue the dance, keeping in time as you lead her to the centre of the floor.Â
The departure from tradition captures everyoneâs attention, the buzz of whispers spreading through the room as you remove your mask and then Melâs.Â
Gazing into her eyes, there is only love and adoration as she looks back at you because she knows what youâre about to do and usually Melâs not one for overt displays of affection but, every now and then she wanted for nothing but your claim on her.Â
So, when you brush a stray curl behind her ear and curl your hand around the back of her neck to pull her in and press your lips to hers; her arms instinctively wrap around you without a second thought.
The kiss is all consuming and it sets you both ablaze as your hearts combine to beat steadily as one; neither of you caring for the spectators.
It's on the last note of the music, that the two of you finally pull away.
Breathless and giggly, you press your foreheads together- thunderous applause ringing out around you; the two of you finally taking a moment to look at your audience.
Lips brushing against your cheek, Mel leans in, whispering only for you to hear, âHappy Anniversary, my darling.â

Hiiya! Iâm not asking in a rushing or pressure type of way, but genuinely curious is there going to be a part 2 of get her back- The vi fic? Itâs all good and chill if not and all, just curious on it. Sorry if this is a rude ask â¤ď¸ :)
You are so fine!! Not rude at all. I didnât realise itâs been almost a month since I posted it đ
I just got distracted with the other Vi fics lol
I have a queue set up so, itâll come out this week! đ
â i see whatâs happening here. youâre bored. you want a little attention. â + Sevika đĽşđĽş I feel like sheâs the softest girl ever in private
Pairing: Wife!Sevika x Reader.
Word Count: Not 500 lmao (645).
A/N: Can't stick to my own rules apparently. Soz if you hate it lmao. Soft, soft, Sevika. Idk wife!Sevika just sounds right in comparison to girlfriend to me lol. Idk if you wanted his to be smut but, you said softest girl ever so, I went with fluff lol
Sunday.
It was your favourite day of the week.Â
Sundays were for sleeping in. Sundays were for cuddling. Sundays were for slow morning sex. Sundays were for breakfast in bed. Sundays were for watching reruns of your favourite, bad, tv shows and movies on the couch with your wife.Â
Your wife, who was a busy woman. Second in charge to the most powerful man in Zaun, and Sundays were supposed to be the one day of the week that you had her totally and completely to yourself.
Sundays were not for work. Sundays were not for Sevikaâs office. Sundays were not for sitting on the couch in Sevikaâs office while she tended to whatever urgent work matter that Silco insisted couldnât wait till Monday.
You were not happy and growing steadily unhappier with every second that ticked by that she remained on the phone. You sat cross legged on her office couch, chest pressed against the back of the couch so you were facing where she sat at her desk; your gaze burning holes into the telephone perched on her desk in the hopes it would magically combust along with the person interrupting your Sunday.
Despite the low, steady tone of her voice and razor-sharp words that cut through whatever excuse being given by the person on the other end; Sevika watches you, amused, her eyes softening and the corner of her lips turning up at the soft pout that forms on your lips when your gaze meets hers.
With a subtle nod of her head, Sevika beckons you over to her, pushing her chair out from beneath her desk, and you make yourself comfortable in her lap, your head resting on her shoulder.
Not missing a beat in her scolding of whoever was on the other line, Sevika slips a hand under the back of your (her) shirt, fingers lightly dancing up and down your spine, her lips grazing the top of your forehead before she dips her head and nuzzles her nose against yours.Â
The gesture sends a kaleidoscope of butterflies through your stomach at the sweet gesture. It prompts you to press soft kisses to her neck, lips slowly travelling up her neck and curving upward when you feel the way she tenses beneath you, her hand tightening around your waist. Satisfaction spreads through your chest when she abruptly ends the phone call accompanied by another flutter of wings, knowing you still had the same effect on her that she did on you.
âI see whatâs happening here,â she suddenly chuckles and the sound reverberates through your body. âYouâre bored. You want a little attention.âÂ
âNo,â you deny, lips pressing against her cheek before, ghosting over her lips to press against her other cheek as you work your way down the other side of her neck. It sends a shiver down Sevikaâs spine. âNot bored.âÂ
Pressing a final kiss to her collarbone, you sit up so, your eye-level with her. Sevika watches you carefully, expression softening at the far away look in your eyes. Her eyes never leave your face as you reach out and tuck a loose strand of her hair behind her ear.Â
âI just- itâs Sunday- just want all of your attention, today,â you tell her softly.Â
Your hand is still near her ear when she captures it in her own, bringing it to her lips and pressing a kiss to your knuckles before, her hand is sliding up the length of your arm to cup your chin and forcing you to look at her; stormy grey eyes piercing into yours. She knew youâd never ask but, if you needed her to, sheâd leave it all behind for you.
âHey,â she calls, voice tender and a stark contrast to the fierce determination in her eyes. âYou have my attention, always, every day of the week. Not just on Sundays.â

You're gonna write all that and then tell me there won't be a part two? đđ Just tell me honestly and I won't get mad: do you hate me? đĽş
HAHAHHA oh my dear sweet anon đĽ˛
I do believe my exact words on my authors note was âI did not write this with the intention of a second partâ. Which, in my personal opinion does not translate to âI am NOT writing a second part.â
Warnings/Content: NOT EDITED. Incorrect spelling. Bad grammar. Tense mix-ups. Weird double spaces. AU. Boxer!Vi. College!Reader. Vi's a famous boxer so, she's rolling in the dough but her being a boxer isnât really a focal point. Swearing.
Summary: Vi is your best friend. You love her. You don't love some of her choices. YALL I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DESCRIBE THIS LMAO. Just read it if you want to lol or don't.
Word Count: 3.1k+.
A/N: So... I did not write this with the intention of a second part. I thought I'd let y'all know now so, I don't get your hopes up. Ha, ha, enjoy! Oh and idk if seeing your friends naked is controversial to other people but, it's not to me and my friends lol. Also, the titles kinda dramatic, I just didn't know what to name it.
You wake with a groan, body overheating and skin sticky with a thin sheen of sweat. Lying belly-down in bed with your face half-pressed into your pillow, you pop an eye open, vision slightly blurry as you peer at the alarm clock sitting on your bedside drawer; red, angry numbers glare 05:58 at you. You hadnât even managed a half hour of sleep before being woken.
A whine leaves your lips and you attempt to curl your body into yourself so you can roll over and go back to sleep but, thereâs a heavy weight on your back; a heavy weight that was also the reason you were overheating.Â
âMorning sleepyhead,â Vi chuckles from where sheâs draped herself across your back.
You didnât even hear her come into your apartment let alone your room but, you sure as shit felt it when she threw herself backwards over you; one of her elbows now digging into your back. You really needed to take your spare key off of her.
âNo, Vi,â you protest with another groan, trying to buck her off so you can roll over. âGo away.â
You love Vi, you really do. Sheâs your best friend. The one person who probably knew you better than you knew yourself. She made what was an otherwise rough childhood good. She was a ray of sunshine on a rainy day, silver lining on a cloudy day, lighthouse on a stormy night and all that other good shit that a best friend is. But today? Today she was the nightmare disrupting your much needed sleep.
âGo away?â Vi repeats and you donât have to see her face to know she probably has her eyebrow raised. âDid you forget whatâs on tonight?âÂ
âNo-â you grunt and finally shove her off of you.Â
âHey-â Vi shouts when you send her tumbling to the ground.
You finally roll over and pull the blanket over your head, âI didnât forget, Violet, itâs just way too early to go.âÂ
Vi finds her feet and stares at you incredulously.
âToo early?â Vi pulls at the blanket but your grip is iron-clad. âItâs- itâs six- six-o-clockintheevening-âÂ
Your blankets are ripped off of you and you half-groan half-scream, yanking your pillow from under your head and putting it over your head. Vi puffs her chest out, it didnât matter how strong your grip was, she was stronger.
â-and Powderâs gonna kill you if we ruin her surprise for Ekko because weâre late,â Vi reminds you, patiently waiting for you to process everything she had just said.
âFuck-â you groan - again - rolling off of the side of your bed and almost tripping over your own feet in your haste to get to the bathroom.
You werenât sure where the time had gone because the twelve hour sleep you apparently got felt closer to none. But, the feeling of time escaping you was not unfamiliar since youâd spent the majority of your summer so far doing as many back-to-back shifts where you could.Â
âAtta girl,â Vi grins, plopping herself down on the seat of your vanity. âAnd youâre welcome for waking you up.â
You catch a glimpse of the smug look on her face in the reflection of your bathroom mirror and flick her a complimentary middle-finger for her services before slamming the bathroom door closed.
-
A quick three minute shower is all you have time for and the rush to towel yourself dry leaves you feeling just as hot as when you woke up. You may as well have not showered at all.
Pulling the bathroom door back open, Viâs eyes meet yours for a split second before theyâre back on her phone, fingers moving at lightning speed across the screen.
The sight of you wrapped only in a towel was nothing new. Hell. Vi had seen you as naked as the day you were born on more than one occasion in the fifteen years she'd known you and vice versa.
Making a beeline for your chest of drawers, you pull out a clean set of underwear. Youâre still pulling the straps of your bra over your shoulders when youâre met with a low whistle. Looking over your shoulder, you meet Viâs gaze and she makes a point of dramatically looking you up and down.Â
âMatching set,â she waggles her eyebrows suggestively at your baby blue set. âExpecting someone else to see that tonight?â
You scoff and fling your towel at her head, âonly your pink head.âÂ
Vi ducks out of its path but catches the fabric; she wasnât about to let your towel touch the floor.Â
âGood,â she smiles triumphantly.Â
-
Itâs 6:26 by the time the two of you leave your apartment and get into Viâs shiny black pick up truck. The short drive + parking would mean youâd arrive at The Last Drop at about 6:40- five minutes before Powder expected everyone to be there with Ekko expected to arrive at 7. The timing couldnât have worked out better considering your generous sleep in.
The drive to The Last Drop is quiet, save for the music playing quietly through the speaker - Vi hums softly along to it. Between that and the feeling of the cool glass against the warm skin of your temple, your eyelids begin to droop, exhaustion dragging you back to sleep.Â
Casting a quick side-ways glance at you, concern marks Viâs forehead at the sight of you falling asleep within minutes of the drive.Â
âHey-â she calls your name softly, calloused hand reaching over to rub your arm.
âHm?â you jerk slightly, looking over at her with heavy eyelids. The back-to-back shifts you had been pulling were taking their toll.
âWe gonna talk about why you were still sleeping at six in the evening?âÂ
You shrug, dismissing her concern, âworked the closing shift at last drop last night,â you mumble.
Vi peers at you quickly from the corner of her eye, brow furrowing and frown lines deepening as she adjusts herself in her seat, unsure if she had heard you correctly.Â
âWhat? I thought you were working the closing shift at The Apothecary.â
âI did-â you confirm before, a yawn forces its way out of you. â-and then I called Vander and asked to pick up the closing shift at The Last Drop.â
âHe shouldnât have given it to you.â
âI need the money, Vi.âÂ
âSo, Iâll give it to you-â
âDo we have to do this every time?â you snap.
âIâm just saying-â
âWell stop saying it. Iâm not taking your money, Vi. Itâs one more semester of placement and then things go back to normal because classes go back to normal for my final semester then Iâm done. Finished. Graduation. And you wonât have to worry about it anymore.â
You release a shaky breath through your nose, fingers pinching at the bridge and back straight. You were wide awake now. Wide awake and frustrated.Â
This wasnât the first time you had had this conversation with Vi and it probably wouldnât be the last. She had a habit of trying to pay the rent for the apartment you lived in in Piltover during the school year. It had gotten worse since you had reached the placement year of your degree since it had you working full-time hours without pay; Vi constantly bringing up the offer at any opportunity that she could and why wouldnât she try?
At 23, Vi was a highly-decorated and well-respected Champion in the Boxing world. Fighting under the moniker âThe Hound of the Undergroundâ, she was a 2 x time Runeterra Middleweight Champion by 21 and the reigning, undisputed Middleweight Champion of the Piltover Boxing League. Her illustrious boxing career was putting more money than she could count in her pockets. Money that she was eager to hand out to all of her loved ones to ensure they were living life comfortably. She just wanted to help-Â
She just wanted to help.Â
The reminder is cold water in the face of your annoyance at her.
âI always worry about you,â Vi tells you quietly. âI canât help it.â
Looking over at her, you slump in your seat and whatever annoyance you feel, disappears.
âI know but, you donât need to. Iâll be fine, Vi,â you mumble, turning your body to face her. âBesides, you need that money to pay for all those medical bills since you insist on getting beaten up every few weeks.â
Vi snorts a laugh, âI donât get beat, I do the beating and you donât need to worry about that baby girl, I have those bills covered.âÂ
âWell you might have those covered now but youâll need to consider your future as well and how youâre gonna afford me when I inevitably have to become your carer because of one too many knocks to your head,â you tease.
Vi chuckles, pulling into a spot and parking.
Turning the engine off, she also angles her body to face you, one arm leaning against the steering wheel but, you donât notice sheâs facing you because your eyes are closed, breath becoming shallow.Â
Vi watches you with an amused grin but she falters because sheâs been looking at you for a little too long and when your eyelashes flutter as you open your eyes and meet her gaze, sheâs suddenly transported back in time to when she was fifteen and had stolen Vanderâs car so the two of you could go to the drive-in to see that really bad R18+ movie that the two of you had no business watching but, no one checks ID at the drive-in.Â
It hits Vi all at once and-Â
Sheâs fifteen and realising just how in love with you she is.
Sheâs fifteen and confessing her feelings for you. Â
Sheâs fifteen and youâre telling her you feel the same way.Â
Sheâs fifteen and kissing you for the first time- her first kiss.Â
Sheâs fifteen and you're telling her that she's your sunshine, silver lining and lighthouse and she never really understood what you meant by that but, it means everything to her.
But, now? Now, she's twenty-three and the lid sheâd placed on the box that she had buried her feelings for you in is off and it slams into her ribcage, heart trying to beat out of her chest and she can vaguely hear her phoneâs message tone going off in her pocket but, she can only concentrate on you.Â
âIs that so? You gonna look after me?â Vi whispers, reaching a hand out to brush your hair from your face, hand lingering on your cheek.
âAlways have, havenât I?â you smile that smile that lets her know everything's going to be okay.
Viâs mouth goes dry and her eyes are flickering between your eyes and your lips and they're lingering on you lips and sheâs fifteen and-
And the moment is interrupted with a sharp- âHEY!â
Vi snatches her hand back like youâve burnt her, her head whipping forward to see a furious Powder standing in front of her car.
âShit-â you curse, quickly undoing your seatbelt and getting out of the car. Vi watches as you make your way to her annoyed little sister with your hands held out and coming to Viâs defence because you know Powder is going to blame Vi. âSorry, Pow, itâs my fault.â
Powderâs annoyance doesnât last long, her resolve immediately breaking so she can throw her arms around you for a hug.Â
Taking a ragged breath, Vi runs a rough hand through her hair before undoing her own seatbelt and getting out.Â
Powder starts on her as soon as the car door closes.Â
âYou-â Powder pulls on Viâs arm, pushing her towards the entrance of The Last Drop. âI need you to go inside- quick, quick, quick and help dad bring the rest of the kegs in. Stupid delivery driver forgot half our order this morning and only just delivered it now. Go-go-go.â Powder chases Vi in.
You laugh at the face Vi makes at her little sister but, as soon as she disappears through the entrance, Powderâs in your face.
âYes, Pow?â you laugh, taking a step back but, she moves with you.
Placing her hands on your shoulders and taking a deep breath, Powder sends a quick look over her shoulder, checking for any stragglers before she looks back at you with a quizzical look on her face.
âWhat was that?â she whispers.Â
âWhat was what?â you whisper back.Â
âThat-â she waves her hand behind you at Viâs truck. â-in the car.â
You tilt your head, confused, âwhat do you mean? We were just chatting about uni and stuff.â
âOh come on-â Powder deadpans, hands moving from your shoulders to her hips. âVi looked like she was about to eat your face.âÂ
You snort at the insinuation with a shake of your head.Â
âYou really need to let that go, Pow. Besides, I highly doubt that's what she was wanting to do.â
âWhat? Why?â Powder pouts.Â
âBecause,â you glance back at where you had just been sitting with Vi in her truck. âHer phone wouldnât stop going off.â
Powderâs brow furrows, taking a second to pick up what you were putting down before, a knowing look crosses her face; her lips pursing into a thin, straight line and you make a sound of agreement.
-
Ekkoâs surprise birthday party goes off without a hitch, the night ending perfectly with the freshly minted 18-year-old being carried out by his father; a giggling powder-blue haired girlfriend trailing closely behind the pair and snapping a quick selfie to show him in the morning.
He wasnât the only one who needed to be carried out of the party however.Â
When you wake the next morning, you feel fine until memories of the previous night come back to you in fragments including Vi carrying you up to your apartment.Â
You groan in embarrassment. It didnât matter how well or how long you knew her, you would always be embarrassed by whatever antics you got up to when drunk. Although, you weren't sure if drunk was the right word to use when you had a grand total of two and a half drinks. Two and a half drinks that went straight to your head- you blame the lack of sleep and your empty stomach. You really needed to thank Vi for cutting you off when she did because it saved you a hangover.Â
Padding out of your bedroom, the smell of freshly made food hits you all at once and makes your mouth water.
When you reach the living area, breakfast is already made and laid out on your small dining table. Thereâs a small flutter in your stomach at the gesture, a smile pulling at the corner of your lips but it falls when you realise how quiet it is in your apartment. You couldâve sworn you had heard Viâs phone going off earlier. Looking around the small space with a frown, you almost miss the mess of pink hair peeking out from one end of your couch until the head it belongs to moves.Â
Without a second thought you cross the space to the couch and climb over the back of it-
âOof-â the air expels from Vi lungs when you land on top of her, slapping a hand down on her blanket-covered leg.
âReally?â she scowls at you.Â
You shrug your shoulders with a grin.
âJust payback for yesterday, now you know how it feels when youâre just trying to relax and something heavy just lands on you.â
âYouâre not even heavy,â Vi scoffs.Â
âYeah? Well, you are.â
âYou calling me fat?â Vi raises an eyebrow at you.Â
You roll your eyes at her words, pinching at the taut muscle of her exposed stomach. She wore nothing but a sports bra and boxers.Â
âCalling you heavy, muscle man,â you mock her tone then flick her forehead.Â
âHey-â she swats a hand at yours.
You laugh as she tries to grab at you but you're quicker than she is and hop off the couch before she can catch you.
Stomach growling, you make a beeline for the dining table, âyou coming?â
Vi makes a show of sighing dramatically in response but she's seated across from you only seconds later.Â
With a mouthful of food, you wave your fork at her, waiting for a beat to swallow before you speak, âso, who were you texting earlier?â
Viâs hand pauses in the air, a piece of bacon dangling between her fork and eyes wide when they meet yours. She was not expecting you to ask her anything of that sort.Â
âOh come on,â you roll your eyes. âDon't play dumb. Your phoneâs been going off like crazy since yesterday. Who is she?â
Vi shoves the piece of bacon in her mouth along with a spoonful of eggs when she says a name you can barely make out.Â
âWhat?âÂ
Vi swallows roughly before, repeating herself.
âCaitlyn,â she says, pushing her food around her plate and not looking at you.Â
âHow long has this been going on?â
Vi takes a second to think, âjust under two months.â
âWhat?â you say, eyes nearly popping out of their sockets. âAnd where have I been for all of this?â you demand with a pout. âHow come I didnât knowâŚâ
âWell, you just⌠never have time for me anymore,â Vi breathes melodramatically.Â
âThat is so not true! Miss Iâm in a different city every other weekend.âÂ
âHey- thatâs for work!â
âAnd placement is compulsory,â you throw a berry at her.Â
It bounces off her chest and she catches it before it falls into her lap, throwing it in her mouth with a laugh.Â
âBut, seriously, Vi,â you lean forward on the table, elbow resting against the table-top, and head resting in your palm. âTell me about her. You have like two months of your girl-crush to catch me up on.âÂ
And Vi does.
She tells you everything there is to know about Caitlyn and you canât focus on what sheâs saying because of the blood rushing in your ears. You can't focus on what she's saying because you're trying to swallow the green-eyed monster thatâs threatening to rear its ugly head because thereâs a sparkle in Viâs eye while she tells you all about Caitlyn, thatâs never been there before with her other relationships.Â
It sticks with you for weeks to come and makes you feel sick every time you think about it because Vi asks you not to tell anyone about her potential new relationship just yet because even thought Vi isnât a big deal to you, sheâs a pretty big deal to the rest of the world.

hi hi, love neighbours 𼺠it hasnât been mentioned (I donât think) so Iâm wondering- how did Vi come up with the nickname âangel faceâ?
SERIES: NEIGHBOURS
Vi had your name listed as âeggheadâ before âangel faceâ in her phone. You saw it one day and tried to get her to change it because- âI do not have an egg head, I have- have the face of an angel,â you splutter and Vi canât stop laughing because she didnât mean âeggheadâ literally but because of the constant abundance of eggs in your fridge. But then one day, youâre sitting just a little too close to Vi and the sun is shining through her window and casting a warm glow over you and sheâs staring, she knows sheâs staring but, she canât help it as she commits every bit of you to memory; the flutter of your eyelashes, curve of your cheekbones, slope of your nose, shape of your lips and Viâs heartbeat begins to stutter in her chest and she thinks- maybe you are heaven sent. She calls you angel for the first time that night and it feels really intimate and a little too serious so, she plays it off and switches it up to angel face - âyour words not mine,â sheâd say to you - to put out whatever spark was about to ignite; to chase away that warm feeling in her chest every time she looks at you. Reminding herself that the two of you are friends. Only friends. And maybe she shouldnât change your name in her phone but, her fingers seem to move on their own because how can she not change your name to âangel faceâ when sheâs sure that the fluttering feeling of wings that she gets in her stomach every time she looks at you, surely belongs to angels.

Summary: AU. You've settled into your new apartment and life with your new neighbour, Vi. It's domestic bliss until you notice that something is clearly going on with Vi.
Word Count: 2k+.
A/N: This is formatted and written really weirdly so, I'm sorry if it's hard to read. Anyways, I enjoyed writing the first one so, I decided to do a second part. Honestly, in my head, this is taking place in the 2000âs.
PART ONE.
Excluding the difficulties that came with the first day and a half in your new apartment, transitioning into life in your new home had come with a surprisingly, comfortable ease after that.
A huge part of that was thanks to Vi.Â
During your first week of moving in, Vi found herself and her tools at your place more than her own as you settled in and discovered new faults and problems that she was more than happy to fix.
In return, you fed her and after that, the two of you found yourself falling into something of a domestic routine.Â
Including (but not limited to) -
Collecting each otherâs mail from the mailroom:
(Angel Face: Attachment: 1 Image. 1 new message. Did you know that despite marketing their packaging as discreet, sex shops still print their website in tiny print on the label?Â
Bob the Builder: fckn kill me.
Angel Face: You have to show me what you got when you get home. Please and thank you!)
Carpooling where you could:
(Your keys jingle in the lock and you twist the door handle for good measure, making sure itâs locked when a low whistle comes from the end of the hallway.Â
Vi emerges from behind her own door, gym bag in hand.Â
âCute leggings,â Vi comments with a grin, closing and locking her door behind her.Â
The compliment has your cheeks heating up but, you cover it with something silly.
âThank you,â you beam and begin hitting a few poorly executed bodybuilding poses for her. âIâm glad you noticed. Theyâre new.â
Vi watches, amused, as you continue to muck around with the poses when her mouth suddenly goes dry when you pull your too-big-T up and over your ass and hit another pose.Â
She swallows thickly, eyes wide and focused on the curve of your plump backside
When you spin around, she quickly averts her gaze with a cough as you toss her your car keys. Â
âTheyâre nice,â Vi catches the keys, ducking her head to hide her coloured cheeks before mumbling. âYou should definitely buy more.â
âHm?â
âUh- nothing-â Vi fiddles with the strap of her gym bag. âReady to go?â)Â
Grocery runs together + shopping in each otherâs pantries:Â
(âThis is a lot of eggs,â Vi comments, eyeing the crate of twenty-four.Â
You breathe a half-laugh, âdo you need eggs, Vi?âÂ
Thereâs a long pause and it prompts you to turn around from your position on the couch to where a contemplative Violet stands in front of your open fridge.Â
â... Maybe.âÂ
You laugh, proper, this time and it sends a kaleidoscope of butterflies through Vi; she's committed the sound to memory but still she wishes she could bottle the sound and wear it around her neck.Â
Vi steals a glance at you and you smile fondly at her with your head propped on the back of your couch, âtake as many as you need.â)
Movie and weekly TV nights:
(âFinally! Hurry, hurry,â you usher Vi inside your apartment.Â
âLive rewind only goes back 30 minutes and the show started 28 ago.âÂ
âFuck, sorry, I didnât realise I was that late,â Vi apologises, quickly kicking her shoes off and dropping her keys in the bowl.Â
The two of you settle into your usual positions on your couch, you in the corner of your L-shaped couch and Vi at the other end with her feet propped up on the ottoman.Â
You cast one last look between the TV and Vi, ready to hit play but you donât because the way she sits slumped in her seat, feet on the floor, shoulders sagging and eyes glazed over doesnât go unnoticed by you.Â
âHey,â you call softly. âYou okay?â
âHm?â Vi blinks, taking a second to register your voice.Â
âYeah, yeah, let's watch,â she waves off your concern with a hand in the air.Â
âVi⌠you know we donât always have to do these movie nights? Right? If you donât want to⌠you can just tell me. I wonât be offended,â you offer her what you hoped was a comforting smile. âand I mean if somethingâs happened, you can talk to me⌠if you want .âÂ
Vi feels her throat clog because thereâs genuine concern in your eyes and how is she meant to tell you that she just got into a huge fight because she wanted, chose, to be here with you tonight.Â
She can't so she says-
âJust got into a disagreement with a-uh friend. Itâs nothing, promise. Now hit play otherwise itâll be you who makes us miss the first few minutes,â she finishes with a teasing grin and hoping you didnât notice the way she stumbled over the word friend.
You did. But, you donât say anything and, soon you forget about it all together because Tyler Lockwood just triggered his werewolf curse!!)
Taking turns to cook and having dinner together most nights - turns out neither of you knew how to cook for one person so, it was easier to just cook for both.
Itâs how the two of you end up in Viâs kitchen on a Wednesday night.Â
Topic of conversation: family, parents, childhood and everything in between.Â
You were both still learning about each other.
You learned Viâs parents had passed away in the Zaun Revolution.
She and her sister, Powder, were adopted by her dad, Vander, who was an old friend of her parents.
They also had two brothers- Mylo & Claggor.
Vander raised them all with the help of another old friend of her parents, Silco.Â
You recognised both of their names.
âWait- how do you know who they are?â Vi looks at you with curious eyes.Â
âBecause, Iâm from here? And I think I would know my cities leaders,â you say, laughing, as if itâs the most obvious thing in the world.
âWait- so you are from here?â
âYes⌠have we not had this conversation before?â
"Nope," and Vi is pleased to learn that she was right about you, after all.
You were from Zaun, you just didnât grow up in Zaun which is why she had never met you before.
Your parents were Zaunite scientists who initially worked for Former Councillor Heimerdinger at The University of Piltover but, following his retirement, they now worked for Councillor Talis and his partner, Viktor, so you had spent the majority of your life in Piltover.
Viâs mood shifts at the mention of Jayce Talis.
âFor Jayce Talis, huh?â Vi questions, casting a sideways glance at you. âHeâs uh- heâs pretty close to the Kirammanâs⌠your family, are they um- like, close to any of them?âÂ
Vi doesnât know why she asks that. (She does).
But there was no taking it back now.
She shakes her head at herself and peeks at you from the corner of her eye, hoping you donât notice the odd question or the way her hand slows on dicing the last of the vegetables.
You donât.
Not missing a beat, you fire up her stove, place a pan on top of it and answer her question.
âWith Jayce? I mean, yeah? Sort of? My parents work for him so theyâve spent a lot of their time over the years with him in the lab but, theyâre way closer to Viktor. Grew up down the road from each other and all that so, heâs practically family and well⌠Jayce is his family. Theyâre kind of a package deal, so Jayce is around a lot much to the initial annoyance of my parents but theyâve learned to indulge him.â
Finishing up with the vegetables, Vi turns to face you, leaning against the counter with her arms folded across her chest.Â
Your eyes canât help but stray for a brief moment to look at the swell of muscles in her arms that flex from the movement.
âLearned to indulge him?âÂ
âYeah⌠I mean- he means well and heâs really nice but heâs still⌠unlearning some of his prejudicial misconceptions about Zaun and her people but... he's getting there,â you breathe a short, wry laugh. âSlowly but surely.âÂ
Your words hit a little too close to home for Vi and she clears her throat uncomfortably, pushing off the counter to start cleaning the bench so she can distract herself while you stand over the stove and cook.Â
âAnd as for the Kiramannâs, I mean I went to school with Councillor Cassandraâs daughter, Caitlyn but-â
Vi drops the dish in her hand and it lands in the sink with a loud clang!
The sound makes you jump and you ask her if everythingâs okay-
âYeah, yeah, all good,â Vi wipes a sweaty hand across the back of her trackies with a nervous chuckle. âJust a slip of the hand- sorry, why are we talking about Caitlyn Kiramann?âÂ
Vi tries not to sound defensive, tries her best to sound casual but it comes out as anything but, her voice short and clipped.
You pause for a moment - was she... annoyed with you? - then breathe a sigh of disbelief, confused by the sudden whiplash-Â
âVi⌠you asked me about the Kiramannâs,â you remind her. âI was just answering your question.â
âI did?âÂ
âYeah, you did-â you retort, feeling a little exasperated and desperate for answers because there had been a steady build up of- this.
Whatever the hell this was.Â
After that night when she showed up late to your place, you noticed that something was off.
She seemed to be eating less, drinking more on the weekends and sleeping even less.Â
Then there were the bruises and scuffs that were making more frequent appearances across her face and all over her body.
You were pretty certain those werenât coming from the sparring matches she participated in, in the gym as she so claimed.
Despite all of that however, the routine the two of you had fallen into hadnât changed- Vi was still showing up for you.
But... even you could see that it was becoming exhaustive for her, light snores more frequently leaving her lips from where sheâd laid her head on your lap only minutes into whatever tv show or movie the two of you had started but, every time you offered to cancel, sheâd flat out refuse.
âMe? Cancel?â sheâd scoff. âAnd miss my favourite part of the day? Yeah, right, angel face. Not getting rid of me that easilyâÂ
You had made it a point not to comment because you werenât sure howâd she react if you began to more forcefully pry into her life considering she had already shut down your several attempts to check in with her before.
But, this time you donât give her a pass.
âVi, are you sure everythingâs okay? I just feel like youâve been really off lately and you keep saying youâre fine but, youâre clearly not. You can talk to m-âÂ
âI said Iâm fine!â Vi snaps and you freeze.
The tension is palpable and hangs suffocatingly between the two of you.
Neither of you move.
Neither of you say anything.
Save for the water dripping from the kitchen faucet and the food sizzling on the stove, there is nothing but silence.
Vi stares at you wide-eyed and caught off guard by her own outburst and you blink back at her in surprise.Â
Youâre the first one to make a move- releasing a slow, controlled breath.
âI think Iâve overstayed my welcome,â you utter, removing the kitchen towel from your shoulder.
Your words breathe life back into Vi and colours her face with a molotov cocktail of emotions before she settles on a regretful grimace.Â
âShit- Iâm sorry, I didnât mean-â
âI think youâve had a long week, Violet,â you interrupt her apology and turn the stove off. âIn fact, I think youâve had a long couple of weeks and if youâre not going to let me in on your problems then maybe you should just leave me out of it.âÂ
With that, you leave without sparing her a backward glance.Â
-
Everything would make sense the following Monday however, after a weekend spent at your parents in Piltover.
You would learn exactly what the problem had been or, who the problem had been, you should say.
You and Vi had never really discussed each otherâs love lives but you figured she was clearly fucking someone/s (the sex shop order was a strap harness) and it led you to make assumptions about her.Â
Assumptions that were inclusive of:
1. Vi didnât have one (a love life) - not in a monogamous type way at least - because she never mentioned a girlfriend (why would she omit that, right?) and never brought anyone over.
2. Vi was a player, a serial sleep-arounder, ladykiller, skirt chaser, philanderer- whatever the hell people called it nowadays.
The point was, you found it hard to believe that someone as hot and kind and charming and smart and funny as Vi wasnât getting laid and frequently - if she wasn't in a relationship then she had to be pulling an insane amount of pussy. Â
But, as it turned out, both your assumptions about Vi had been very wrong.Â
No, she had a third, more terrible thing going onâŚ
An on-again, off-again girlfriend.
-
âWhy are we talking about Caitlyn Kiramann, huh?â you cock your head at Vi with a raised brow from the bottom of the steps.
