I’m trying to read more and have found that many of my favourite shows have spinoff book series! Therefore I am making my way through many a book and highlighting some of my favourite lines here.

Finished The Copenhagen Affair by John Oram- it was about half the length of The Vampire Affair and I have to say I’m glad about it. It has an interesting premise with the UFOs but it wasn’t used too much and I can’t say I found it as intriguing. Only area it has over The Vampire Affair was how many gay moments there were- especially with Napoleon.

Ah the joys of reading books from the 60s. I’ve had to use a dictionary probably 10 times and I’m only like 20 pages in. This passage continues to allude me- I understand that they’re saying he’s a shady character but could anyone help me break down each phrase?
Horse-coper is like a shady old horse thief, but I’m lost about his lights being straight as a billiard cue that’s warped!

Just finished The Man From Uncle: The Vampire Affair by David McDaniel. I’m happy to say the campiness from the show passed over to this book! A very fast and fun read— would definitely recommend to people who like TMFU and/or vampires and mysteries. Below are some of my favourite moments (minor spoilers below, major spoilers under cut)
Napoleon and Illya run into each other in the hallways of HQ and immediately start fake sparring for funsies? While on their way to a meeting?
At said meeting they both get distracted talking about vampires and werewolves and Waverly eventually gets fed up and tells them to stfu and get the hell out of his office
They both agree vampires are fake and then agree to bring matching silver crucifixes
Pausing the plot to go into some fun Soviet era history
Fun Cold War facts!
The village’s mayor/judge/police chief/romanian fbi leader admits to having been a nazi and then gave it up immediately when Germany started losing and now considers himself a proud Russian communist (he gives his life story for like 2 pages)
Napoleon throws the innkeeper’s antique water pitcher out a window at a vampire who flew into their room. He does not go retrieve it.
They meet Dracula
Illya carves crosses into his bullets
Napoleon and Illya are chased by wolves! Then they have a shootout against the wolves!
Napoleon gets lightly mauled by a wolf
Illya volunteers Napoleon to go look into the creepy open coffin while he waits by the door
Napoleon reminisces on his boyscout days and Illya is not impressed
They get lost in a cave system and call Waverly who tells them to get their shit together already
