As for superpowers, I haven’t really thought about it before. America, of course, canonically has super strength. Pennsylvania would be like Mrs. Incredible -- able to stretch her body to multitask. I suppose you could argue that Massachusetts’s magic is his superpower. New York would probably be super speed because of how fast paced his biggest city is. California would probably have telepathy as she’s already very good at reading people. 

A lot of more agriculturally minded states like Iowa and Nebraska would have the ability to control plants. West Virginia and Kentucky would probably have control over rocks/earth/underground due to their connection to mining. Alaska would have control over snow. Texas would have super strength like America. Rust Belt states like Ohio and Michigan would have control over metal, though Michigan may have hydrokinesis instead because of the Great Lakes.

Delphine’s a pretty name. I wish I would have thought about it a couple of years ago. Montana’s human name is Olivia, but she doesn’t really like being called that. America’s the only one allowed to call her that, to everyone else it is Montana. Pennsylvania and Georgia call her that when she’s in trouble, though. 

America does have a list of the state’s human names and birthday’s in the computer, though, because he’s such a dad. He forgets them all the time. Seriously, my dad always called me by my sister’s name and sometimes would ask me if my birthday’s in October (mine is in January, 2 days before his), and my dad only had 2 kids. So, America with his 50 would be so much worse with mixing up names and birthdays.

Haha, I just really like the combination of brown hair and green eyes. They really complement each other nicely. Also, I like green eyes over blue and brown because I have green eyes. There’s really no other reason than that. 

The state governors, of course, know who the states are. There are also some federal officials who know about the states (Senators, Representatives, etc.) They all work closely together with the states for the benefit of the people. Occasionally, the states do date humans -- though, they don’t always tell their SOs who they are. It just depends on how serious the relationship is. Right now, they don’t really have any significant others because the world is hectic, but Massachusetts met a really cute guy at his favorite coffee shop and that’s all he’s been telling Connecticut about.

As for nations finding out about the states, America would do anything to protect the states and he would make that perfectly clear. Though, I don’t think any actual nation would hurt the states. Really, they’d just view the states as too insignificant compared to America.

Well, it depends on the state you ask. Some have forgiven, but they haven’t forgotten, others are more apathetic towards him (mainly South Carolina), and others still have a one-sided rivalry with him. Massachusetts, in particular, views conflict with England as his “glory days” (even he wasn’t alive for most of it), and is very, very adamant that they have absolutely nothing in common (but, he, Connecticut, and Rhode Island all share the most in common with him personality-wise and interest-wise). Of course, Mass inherited his eyes and magical ability as the most obvious similarities between them.

Ohio and Louisiana have a slight grudge towards him because of the naval battles during the War of 1812 (it was physically very painful for those two and they still have the scars from it). Kentucky and Tennessee are more like South Carolina in that they just feel apathy towards him.

Yes, the governors are their bosses, much like the president is America’s boss. Right now, they are all working closely behind the scenes with their governors to respond to the coronavirus in both economics and public health.

Kentucky and Tennessee are definitely not afraid of any humans. If anything, Ohio’s boyfriends are afraid of them. 

They kind of left for that period of time and formed their own household. Missouri and Kentucky kind of just stayed on the sidelines and didn’t really interact with anyone in their family at the time outside of holidays because they didn’t want to get caught in the middle. Kentucky just went to his own state and took the younger Missouri with him. 

Yeah, England would probably have a hard time telling Kentucky and Tennessee apart because they are very similar looking. He would also maybe have flashbacks to his childhood as they both look like younger Scotland. 

Texas, California, Arizona, and New Mexico are the closest to Mexico and her states (she has). Mexico is especially fond of Texas as a person because he reminds her of her Texas (his mother).

I just now became active again. Sorry it’s taken me so long to respond.

Don’t worry, Tennessee does not have Elvis hair. That would be really ridiculous. 

He’s close with Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia, though Ohio and WV do annoy him because they’re his little siblings. They definitely wouldn’t snitch on WV though, because in all honesty, they’re probably causing trouble along with him (they really are bad influences on poor West Virginia). 

Thank you so much! I’ve seen plenty of horrifically offensive state OCs, so I try to at least research and treat them like, you know, actual characters and not stereotypes like some statetalia authors.

As for West Virginia and the circumstances of his birth, he used to feel very conflicted about it. Of course, America being the dad he is would’ve made it perfectly clear that West Virginia was very much loved and wanted despite the circumstances, which of course helped West Virginia out immensely. 

I just cannot imagine America as a father making one of his states feel unloved or unwanted, even if that may be OOC of him.

Sorry this has taken forever to answer.

So, I’ve been really busy these last two years with life and stuff and I haven’t been really been able to or had the motivation to update. I’m hoping to start updating the United States of Chaos again by this weekend (providing I get my 30,000 pharmacology assignments and my care plan done). 

There are, I believe 25 boys and 25 girls. Though it might be 26-24. I would have to sit down and count them (I have a master list of OCs, thankfully). I just kind of selected genders on a whim (except Ohio because Ohio is my state and I always imagined her as female).

As for Louisiana, Ohio has some respect for Louisiana for her naval contributions in the War of 1812 (there were naval conflicts in both Ohio and Louisiana in that war). Also, Louisiana was Ohio’s first little sister, so she felt the need to take Louisiana under her wing when she was born. As for Kentucky and Tennessee, I haven’t really thought too much about how they would interact. I suppose they’re amicable with her and have the kinship of being fellow Southern states. Tennessee and Louisiana also share a love of country music (because of the Louisiana Hayride, which featured may famous artists like Hank Williams, Faron Young, etc.)

And finally, Ohio doesn’t resent Kentucky and Tennessee. They all kind of grew out of it, and Kentucky and Tennessee have made it up with her.
