Sometimes I'll see one of those "who would win" posts and then they'll include the Powerpuff Girls as if anyone could stand a chance against them.

You need to understand, those girls are made for war. In the original short by Craig McKraken they were called the Whoopass Girls because when Professor Utonium was trying to create the perfect little girl he accidentally added a can of Whoopass. Of course it was changed to Chemical X but they did not change the vibe. In that short the girls defeated the villain (The Amoeba Boys, if you wanted to know) by FLYING DIRECTLY INTO THE SUN.

The Devil is one of their opps and he needs prep time to deal with them. Let me run that by you again.

The Actual Devil, Prince of Darkness, Evil Incarnate, is afraid of going up against preschoolers without a plan.

One of the Devil's plans was to possess all the girls' friends and family to act as a human meat shield. So, with tears in their big bug eyes, the Powerpuff Girls surrendered proceeded to beat the ever loving shit out of everyone they cared about. The Devil noped out of there real quick after that.

They played jump rope with a Kaiju. Not "they played jump rope and invited a Kaiju to play". They grabbed a Kaiju and used it as a rope for playing jump rope.

Look at their hands. They don't have hands, they have permanent fists. Those girls are ALWAYS ready for a fight.

And can we take a second to imagine just how screwed Townsville would have been if they’d listened to Mojo Jojo ? Just how much the residents would have had very good reasons to freak out ?

It would have been the apocalypse in pastel dresses.

Or just... what if Buttercup had picked a kid other than Bubbles to play tag with? ... the citizens of Townsville have no idea how lucky they are that the girls are nice—for kindergarteners 😭

Also, fun fact(s): this was Mr. Green’s first ever appearance and it predates his episode by 2 years. He also doesn’t even have a name in this book. He’s just referred to as “the creature” or “the substitute”, etc etc, which is interesting

I decided to draw this thing based off of a bigger idea I had when the PPG reboot started using memes (so like… right from the beginning). Kids HATE memes/fads when adults or corporations who have no clue what they’re doing or why it was supposed to be cool or funny in the first place use them. ‘Cause then they just suck out your life essence and make you wanna die. So… clearly they should be used as a tool of evil! To destroy children! And what better lame-o to use a tool like that than THIS chimpy lame-o!

Anyway… enjoy/be terrified!

One of Tartakovsky's inspirations for Samurai Jack : *The Little Prince and the Eight-Headed Dragon* (1963). I really love seeing the inspiration in this fight scene.
