not seeing a lot of people on here talking about ICE murdering another man yesterday. His name was Lorenzo Salgado Arajou. He was a Mexican man living in Huston Texas. He was killed at age 52 and lived the past 35 years here in the USA, and was in the process of obtaining a work permit. He was shot and killed during a traffic stop that ICE claims was part of a targeted operation, and claimed he was “weaponizing his vehicle”- the same claim ICE agents made when they shot and murdered Renee Good.

During the stop, Lorenzo had 3 coworkers with him in his truck who have all been taken into ICE custody.

His family described Lorenzo as a hardworking family man who didn’t deserve to be killed. All he wanted was to provide for his wife and see his sons become great people. His eldest son recognized his father by his cries and pleas when trying to identify who the victim was.

The Salgado Araujo family has set up a gofundme to help with funeral and legal costs, and to help keep their family supported since Lorenzo was the sole provider.

it's always amusing to see jackass touted around as an example of 'positive masculinity' when it's obvious to anyone with eyes that it's one of the best examples of the totem pole structure of all male friend groups. there's one guy who's ranked lowest in the inner-group social hierarchy and is therefore ruthlessly bullied by the pack leader and everyone else goes along with it either bc they feel the same way about him as the pack leader does or bc it's the easiest way to maintain their status of not being at the bottom of the food chain

you'd think the bottom of the jackass totem pole would be bam bc he's a crybaby and 'feminine' in a way the way the other guys aren't. but he's spared that fate bc he can laugh off being called girly, is mean as hell, and most importantly is willing to retaliate. danger ehren meanwhile is so desperate for approval from the other guys (primarily knoxville bc he's the pack leader and therefore the primary person to seek favor with) that it comes across as deeply pathetic and therefore worthy of punishment. and since ehren doesn't retaliate there's no reason to Not torture him as much as possible. knoxville and steve-o do it bc they don't like him very much and enjoy putting him in his place with no consequences. the others do it to assert their status as above him on the totem pole. ehren accepts his fate bc he's just happy to be there. he'll do Anything to keep remind the pack leader why he's been allowed into the group so he can keep being in said group. this creates an endless feedback loop of everyone thinking he's a pathetic loser and him facing the consequences of belly-showing behavior
