Ugh, these two though. <3 The way the respective arcs are playing out, is so brilliant. Because the first half, was mostly her fears of losing him to death, where he gets to reassure her, of what we’ve heard people say of him (and him of himself) since he was introduced: he is a survivor. And now, his fear of losing her, to the darkness, to herself – gets to be quelled by what we also already know about her: if there’s one thing Emma is, it’s her own person. ‘Nobody saves her but her,’ and she will push back against anyone that tries to tell her who she is. So the fact that both their, justified, fears, are something that the other person inherently is good at resisting, or being, so to speak –– speaks volumes of just how perfect they are for one another. Emma, is with someone, who she will NOT lose to circumstance, or death, and Killian will NOT lose her to the darkness. I have a feeling, this half will end the same way his arc did, after his life WAS put in jeapordy – with a sweet, cheeky, “I told you. No one decides who I am, but me,” from Emma, when her goodness IS tested, and she comes out the other side.<3
