happy pride month!

never forget that trans women of color were some of the key advocates that paved the way for us. the incredible people at stone wall and so many other riots were the stepping stones to today’s pride and the ability for us to live and love.

I’m so thankful that today I can say that i identity as a lesbian and feel proud of it. we still have a ways to go, and we will keep fighting as so many others did when society said that the LGBTQ+ community was broken.

while celebrating pride, we must also continue to stand with our black brothers, sisters, and siblings through this time, as they deserve the live and to love, to be protected and feel safe, to be seen as equal and given respect.

we will continue to riot for justice for the lives that have been lost to the racist and corrupt system as trans women of color and so many other LGBTQ+ advocates did.
