Pedomaru - made into a child grooming, pedophilic dead beat dad.

Inuyasha - missed his daughter’s life after being sealed into a pearl for 14 years (essentially isn’t in the sequel based off his fucking story (and Kagome’s))

Kagome - reduced to “Inuyasha’s wife.” Hardly ever called Kagome and has been renamed “Kikyo’s reincarnation.” Also forced into the same pearl as her husband, thereby missing her daughter’s life

Sango - reduced to “Miroku’s wife” and had her personality retconned to avoid having her find her missing friends and daugther

Miroku - Apparently doesn’t have a good relationship with his son for “reasons.” Also had his personality changed to avoid having him find his missing friends and daughter (just like his wife)

Kaede - Made into the “old sage” trope, but rather than provide useful information, she withholds them until the last minute just to keep the “PlOt” dragging. Apparently helped the child bride give birth, but also didn’t know who the twins were? Knew Setsuna since she was younger, but didn’t think to tell Setsuna about her mom and is now about to tell Towa in ep 21, even though they had already met much earlier

Kohaku - retconned his personality to make him not curious about R/n’s disappearance. Made him fucking stupid for “reasons.” Dude is a seasoned demon slayer yet he couldn’t tell that Setsuna was a hanyou despite knowing Inuyasha...Also couldn’t tell that Moroha was InuKag’s daugther even though he commented on her powers being similar to Kagome’s and could clearly hear Moroha say she’s beniYASHA (lil sis is also wearing an outfit that looks exactly like Yasha’s fire rat garb, and he’s the only other character with that specific fit)

Shippo - doesn’t exist in this sequel

Kirara - has been drawn like a crackhead (numerous times)

Koga - apparently allowed Kagome’s daugther to get fucking sold for “reasons,” even though in the OG series he respected Kagome a lot and would’ve never allowed for her daugther to get trafficked had the writers not retconned him too

Ayame - irrelevant (she’s not even a manga character)

Shiori - WHITE FUCKING WASHED

Myōga - Just retconned to be dumber

Kikyo - not even in this sequel but Sunrise’s bias for her manifested as treekiyo. Rather than keeping her dead and at peace, they had to borrow her image to give to the fucking tree for “reasons.” And I don’t want to hear the, “it’s her spiritual power BS,” because it’s not relevant to the story and shouldn’t have been included.

Kagura - has had a hint to her existence since episode fucking one. The twins literally possess all of her character traits and parallels to Pedomaru, yet she wasn’t made the mom for reasons. Sunrise essentially lied about the mom mystery, since they didn’t have the balls to say it was R/n from the start, so they stole all of Kagura’s imagery to put into the twins’ design as a means to bait people into watching their shit show...

Naraku - look at Kagura above; also name dropped in reference to Setsuna being able to chose her human night, yet he’s not related to the twins, so again, we have another example of Sunrise taking traits from other characters to give to the twins “for reasons”

Rin - Literally made into a child bride and had her kids at 15 after being assaulted by her adult guardian (minors can’t consent). Didn’t get to have a childhood or raise her children since she was fridged RIGHT after giving birth. Didn’t even get to hold her kids since pedomaru came and took them from her while she laid there crying. He didn’t even regard her well-being or smile at her. She’s the most tragic character in this whole sequel and it disgust me how they robbed this little girl of everything. Her childhood. Her teenage years, and now her adult years as she’s been iced in a tree FOR OVER A DECADE.

the characters in this version didn't feel... human (i find that ironic considering the theme of the story- being human in a hellish situation)- they felt like... well, not real.

I didn't feel anything watching it except when I was disturbed as heck when the protein guy appeared- at least that's one thing that had something to it lmfao
