Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and you know what that means? It’s time for what we do every year so everyone can have a romantic and warm Valentine’s Day. Same rules apply as always!

Here’s how this Valentine tradition works:

1) Make a Valentine.

It can be a card like this, an audio piece like so, a drawing - or anything else outside the box! Just keep it PG-13 and clean. (Nothing that promotes hateful/malicious content and nothing religiously offensive either.) Here’s a full list of previous Valentines (along with the men’s accompanying replies).

2) Give your Valentine to one of the men (or women) from any of our games (i.e. Don’t Take This Risk or Beauty and the War).

The webtoon’s included. You can give a Valentine to multiple characters if you so wish! (This is Girl x Boy and Boy x Girl, so if you give a Valentine to a man, he’ll treat you as a woman and vice versa. Of course, friendship Valentines can be given to all.)

To give us a Valentine, there are several ways to do this. Make a post on tumblr and tag us. E-mail us at [poisonappletales(at)gmail(dot)com]. As long as we know where it is and where to find it, then it’s all good!

You can do this from now until February 15, 2021.

3) Get a Valentine back about a month later!

This is based off Japan’s practice of White Day. (Please note that Virgo Island natives don’t actually have a White Day. I personally find it to be an interesting tradition…and it gives me time to make the replies.)

I’ll probably do a Host Event when I stop by on Discord next month - not sure when exactly. But I want to have at least one day where I show up and do it. For those unfamiliar with it, the Host Event is when I roleplay as one of my bachelors on the Discord and address every lady as if she were his girlfriend (based off the host club in Japan). Depending on the host, it can turn out sweet, flirty or plain crazy. I wouldn’t mind doing a Hostess Event, but I don’t know if there’s enough demand for that at the moment.

This photoshoot gets turned into a calendar which is then sold and most (if not all) proceeds go to charity.

Their most recent charity went to VPNL, which according to their website “works diligently throughout the province to change attitudes, behaviours, and social norms associated with violence. VPNL organizations provide violence prevention and early intervention services to those most at risk of experiencing violence: women, children and youth, Indigenous women and children, older persons, persons with disabilities, persons of varying race or ethnicity, LGBTQ+ persons, and persons of varying economic status.”

They also currently have applications open for new merbys!

Aside from it going to a great cause, it’s also a super funny & cute calendar! It makes for a great gift. I got two in 2018!

Oh and they’re also hella inclusive and socially conscious. One of my favorite quotes from the Merby site:

I know for a fact this won’t get any reblogs, likes, etc. This probably won’t get any recognition at all, since this is real talk, and not some stupid joke/meme/edit/theory post. But for me, this is very important, and I feel as though my followers should know. You guys deserve to know why.

As you may know, I’ve been very dormant in the Owari no Seraph fandom. My fanfics haven’t been updated in a while, I haven’t been drawing ONS related content, and I’ve branched out and found new fandoms that I feel more comfortable/accepted in. I have my reasons for being so dormant, my reasons are that I’ve been really disinterested in its story, disappointed, and finding less toxic fandoms. 

I know this will disappoint some of my followers, especially to those that enjoy my stories, and my heart aches as I type this. But, I’ve decided to leave the Owari No Seraph fandom. 

I had a fierce debate about this with myself and a few of my friends, but I feel as though my decision is best for me. This fandom and its toxicity has really affected my mental health and caused my anxiety to skyrocket. My life is changing for the better, I’ve been so happy ever since starting college and branching out to other fandoms. Unfortunately, this fandom is ruining all my hard work. 

Now, you may be asking yourselves; Why are you leaving the fandom? The latter question, to me, I’ve explained, however, some people like specifics, so I’ll explain. 

I’ve been very silent about this, and this is the first time I’ve ever gone public about these behind the scenes events (some of my friends would know what I’m talking about, having told them) but, I’ve been constantly harassed in my DMs and even my inbox. The harassment I’ve received has, once again, had major effects on my mental health. It’s induced panic attacks, suicidal thoughts, and the need to self-harm (things I’ve repressed significantly.)

I’ve been harassed for having a top/bottom preference (childish, I know), I’ve been harassed on how I write the characters, I’ve been harassed about my writing style. I’ve been accused of being a fujoshi when I’m not, I’ve been accused of being “a girl who says she’s male because she thinks she can get a free pass on not being hated for being a fujoshi.” I was accused of being homophobic and I was even accused of being sexist and one point.

Eventually, I broke down, and decided enough is enough.

No, I will not give specific usernames. I believe in privacy and I know this fandom will go and attack the people that have done this to me. I’ve been in this fandom for a while, so I know what the consequences will be if I give out usernames. Not only is it because of my belief in privacy, but the harsh comments, vulgar language, and threats are also very personal to me. I would rather not go public about these repulsing comments.

No, I will not give the usernames no matter how hard to beg, no matter the threats or attempts to blackmail. Privacy is very important… even if these people really don’t deserve it.

You may call me a coward. You have every right to be disappointed in me—hell, I’m disappointed in myself for not being strong enough to keep my head high and take it. But unfortunately, I can’t anymore. 

The one thing I’m begging of you guys; please, don’t harass anyone in this fandom, even if you don’t agree with something they like/believe. And please, please leave me alone. Please. I’m begging you; just let me be happy.

… That’s pretty much it. As I said, I felt as though my followers deserved to know. You can ignore this, you can respond—I don’t care. I hope you guys continue to have fun in this fandom; never stop having fun.
