anyways yeah i think for almost every character i have about a million thoughts relating to their gender & whatnot that i dont talk about due to scary posting. but thats kind of irrational so ask if you would like to know

#commentary #it does get to me like i have my own fears but whenever i think about it i get really mad #you will be seeing this post when it makes me mad to think about again #like why are all the characters who use she/her side characters that are only listed in the credits (knows)#why are women only joked about in a stereotypically 80s misogynistic way (knows)#<- and no i dont accept “its being era accurate!” as an answer #me being misogynistic in a 1985 way and then never touching on it again #they make references to current world problems and the show being set in 1985 - 70 is debatable #not to mention the cast being the way it is and about all of the main characters #ive been unimpressed by the decisions made similar to this #and like no i dont care if theres only one person making the show there is obviously a female character in fred's song so its not like #he cant get into the role/make a costume like he does for every other character #from episode 1 until 5 with the way characters are treated there is nothing making me believe it will get better #but like its so stupid. like would it kill you (No)#it genuinely kind of baffles me how barren it is for the characters who are women in tbbs #as much as ive been turning the cast into women (about 3 right now)#i dont personally believe anything i do will like. Matter in this context ?#im thinking about it anyway #edit: also i was anxious to post something like this because i dont want to be known as a person who engages in “discourse” or “drama”#but its not either of those things.
