Saiyan ear mobility is not as flexible compared to Namekians, (cannot move ears independently) and only have half the hearing range. (the only exception being in their Oozaru form, which enhances said hearing sensitivity and other senses)

Saiyan ears have around the same amount of blood vessels and nerve endings, (bit more than humans, albeit less than a Namekian) but due to the very high risk of them being chewed, ripped, damaged and etc, they’re able to shrink them to avoid high blood loss and lessen pain receptors. (They are prone to get pretty itchy and tingly when they return back to their original state)

Saiyans can communicate clearly with just their ears alone when it comes to emotions. They don’t need to have a snarly face to let you know they’re pissed off, they’re ears would be pinned first as a forewarning of what’s to come. As if to say; ‘hey, you’re really ticking me off right now, better watch it.’ (then the snarly face comes later if you didn’t get it clearly, have fun getting your face chewed off!) but ear folding is a bit different to pinning, (ears are not laid flat against skull, but instead pulled downwards, its typically shown when being a Saiyan is being submissive or wary. And if the ears are held high and perked, (it just means excitement, curiosity, interest, etc, it’s straightforward)

No Saiyan ear is the same! Some are long, arched, bent, short, and etc
