“Why? I don’t want to.”

“Yes. I’ve decided to take another trip to Earth. Longer this time. A few weeks atleast. Yellow told me at how slow the cluster is forming the earth won’t be destroyed for months. This gives us time to appreciate everything Pink loved before saying our final goodbyes. You could even say goodbye to Pink Pearl if you wish. Her shards are bond to be somewhere on that planet.”

   Her little expression remained near entirely impassive…that is, until the mention of the fellow Pearl. Blue Pearl’s lips seemed to move downward ever so slightly, gem giving a slight ache in memory of her.    They’d talked quite a bit sometimes, so lenient in what Pink’s Pearl did. It almost felt like a transgression to talk without permission of her Diamond, but yet… All the words that came from her mouth, Blue Pearl found herself lost in. Pink Pearl hadn’t really needed another voice as much as she had needed an ear to listen, and stars above, she’d really liked that. More than she’d ever admit, most likely.

   That, and more importantly… A Pearl, was a Pearl. No matter who they served or their attitude, at base, Pearls would always come together for each other. Who else to share secrets with the little gems than other little gems, right?

   “…Of course, my Diamond,” was her eventual response, bowing low and hoping that her dear Diamond would forgive her for the momentary lapse into silence. (Something she internally scolded herself for; always must be aware of her Diamond! If nobody else, than her Diamond.) “I would…very much like to join you on your journey to Earth.”

Oh the poor thing. She really did miss her. Not as much as she missed Pink but the two servants had been great friends. She saw how often they would talk to one another when she would go visit Pink. It seemed that Blue Diamond wasn’t the only one who had lost someone close to her.  "It’s okay if you miss her. I understand more than anyone else what that feels like.” She carefully scooped the blue servant up in her palm.

“There is work to be done.” 

White looked down at her sister with evident disappointment. It had been years, and no matter how much she and yellow tried to distract blue- the sad diamond would could not get over their sister’s shattering. 

   “My Diamond, you called for me?” It was odd, being sent to do something, then being called right back. However, she was meant to be this way; delicate little Pearl who simply did as her Diamond said to, whatever it may be. Often a messenger, as of late, when not a quiet little statuette on the floor by the great Diamond’s chair.

                      ❝ … Oh. ❞ Returning back to the large ruler she formed the diamond salute before speaking. ❝ Greetings, Blue diamond. ❞ She smiled politely, picking up the sides of her skirt for a formal curtsy.

"Off colored. Gems who don’t quite fit the mold. The ones who went against what they were made for or were defective from the day they were made. You all hide away because you know you won’t be accepted up there. I used to think in the way White and Yellow do.”

blue diamond. after watching all the new episodes I got really inspired to draw her.
