Mike and Will keep sneaking off, making up flimsy excuses while the rest of the party is super confused. So, on a whim, they’re able to convince El to spy for them just so they can have an answer.

Max: “Okay, El, so what are they doing?”

El: “I think… they’re kissing?”

Max: “…”

Lucas: “…”

Dustin: “…”

Dustin: “THEY’RE GAY?!”

Lop Bunny!Will is cute, but I feel like a jack rabbit fits my traumatized son more.

These are canon compliant up to season 5, because it does not exist and I prefer my own season 5 I came up with for myself.

•Mike deals with separation anxiety. It started when he was 12 and gradually it became worse, especially during the final battle with Vecna.

•In California, when Will couldn’t sleep due to nightmares and his feelings with Mike, he would hold his hands together and pretend he was holding hands with Mike while they both drifted off to sleep.

•Sometimes, Will doesn’t feel like he’s in control of his body, especially after a bad nightmare. It takes awhile to ground himself and convince himself that he’s in control and isn’t possessed.

•Will used to sleep with his stuffed animals for comfort, but gave up during season 3 after his fight in the rain with Mike. He thought sleeping with stuffed animals was immature. However, after a couple of years, he sleeps with his tiger stuffed animal for comfort.

•Will loves painting nails! Mike lets Will paint his nails and loves the intricate patterns and details that Will paints. Mike likes to show off his nails whenever he can since he’s super proud of Will for doing them.

•They both don’t mind wearing makeup, though Mike often only wears eye liner due to having sensory issues with stuff on his face. Will likes to wear blush.

•They both have PTSD and depression. Will also has an anxiety disorder.

•Mike says he isn’t a cat person, but immediately folds when Will brings in a scraggly stray. Mike is standoffish with the cat at first before he begrudgingly befriends it. The cat will often sit on Mike’s lap when he’s writing.

•Also, my Mike keeps the heart birthmark he was born with on his face and the scar he recieved after being attacked by Billy. Will also retains the scar he received when Nancy shoved that fire poker into his side.

As for my personal after-battle designs with Vecna that I came up with for my own version of season 5:

•Mike helps to keep Will safe during the fight. During the battle, however, his arm is broken and he takes a Demogorgan claw straight to the back, slicing through his clothes. Will has to beg El to take Mike somewhere safe before he bleeds out. After the battle, Mike had his back patched up and a huge scar forms. He’s pretty insecure about it, though Will likes to trace the scars with his fingers if Mike has his shirt off.

Will is peaches and strawberries

Mike is gravely injured, and Will, overdriven by the instinct to survive and the grief of actively losing Mike, is overtaken by his magic and absolutely decimates the battlefield. He tears the earth’s crust apart and no enemy is left alive, their bodies singed and torn apart by his magic.

Will isn’t himself at this point. His magic is fully piloting his body as an act of self-defense. It knows it needs to get its wielder and its wielder’s most treasured being to somewhere safe, so it goes to El’s hold.

The consequences of such a massive attack have taken a toll on Will’s body itself. There’s visible glowing cracks in his skin, almost like his body can’t contain his power. Will is the definition of unstable, like he’s ready to combust at any moment.

He carries an unconscious Mike bridal style to El’s hold, and IMMEDIATELY she panics at the state of both of them.

Will: “Mike… are you sure you don’t need glasses?”

Mike: “Nope! No, I can read perfectly!” *Proceeds to squint his eyes harshly while trying to read a sentence in a small size*
