I do think Sorvus is going to end up canon, but there's a couple different ways this could go.

Obviously we could get the seven years slow burn, but, let's be honest, we all expected Janai and Amaya to dance around each other in season 4, only for them to get straight up engaged in the first episode. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if season 8 started and it turns out Soren and Corvus have been married for three years.

I'll never get tired of the parallels between the first scenes. "Don't get yourself killed" after Soren freeing him so he can save the people under attack from a dragon, and "I was afraid you were dead" after they meet again in a scene after a dragon attack and Soren almost sacrificing himself to save everyone. Twice they found themselves in the same situation, but the first time Corvus admired his act, the second time he was relieved to find him safe.

// This song has been on my mind lately, and I couldn't stop feeling such great fondness for them. Sometimes, in my daily life, I don't realize how important they are to me. I love them from beginning to end, from the silliest details to the most complex ones.
