Ruruka Andou’s Murder Will Reveal the Killer… in the Simplest Way Possible.

Let’s dive right into how I came to this conclusion by examining the greater scope of evidence first. Long Post. Graphic Images Below.

The murders(murders, not lynchings. Thanks, Munakata!) have followed a pattern in retrospect. I started thinking about this after I saw Ruruka’s death, and how much it reminded me of Komaeda’s. I know other people have noticed the similarities, DeathlyTaco even commented on it in Dubbed by Tacos. But here’s what I realized:

All the murders can be related to a death in SDR2. Let’s go one by one. SPOILERS, obviously, but if you’re in this tag, you should already know about them, so therefore they shouldn’t be spoilers.

Death number one: Chisa

Death it is related to: Nekomaru Nidai

Reasoning: Both were hung up then fell from a height. With Nekomaru, it was wire and with Chisa it was the chandelier. Both of them fell when what they were hung up with fell, either by breaking or slipping.

Death number 2: Great Gozu

Death it is related to: Ibuki Mioda

Reasoning: Both were hung up and there was significant build-up to their deaths, i.e. Asahina’s fake death and the video Hajime saw. And when you think about it, aside from fan-scare factor, there was no real reason to fake Asahina’s death other than to give Naegi a moment of terror if this isn’t the case.

Death number three: Seiko Kimura

Death it is related to: Hiyoko Saionji.

Reasoning: Both pinned up against a vertical surface, for Kimura, a wall and for Hiyoko, a pillar.

Death number 4: Ruruka Andou

Death it is related to: Nagito Komaeda

Reasoning: Do I even have to say it? Both are just so brutal. They’re both covered in blood splatter, they’re both lying in pools of their own blood, they both have tortured expressions on their faces, and I don’t even want to go on even though I can.

What this means:

Yeah, shocking, there’s an end point to all this. What it means is that the attacker:

A) Knows or found out about what happened in the Neo World Program. Whether all the Future Foundation received a briefing about it or they have no idea, I don’t know. Naegi’s trial never took place because Juzo got punch-happy and then the killing game started.

B) Cares about what happened.

B is important. The Future Foundation hates despair, so they wouldn’t have any problems with seeing the remnants go through a killing game. Despair members aren’t people who would care enough to make the deaths resemble those of their comrades, either. At least, not most of them. So the attacker either has an emotional connection to these people and/or is trying to get back at Naegi for letting it happen in the first place.

Not only that, but all the victims were stabbed in the heart. Heart, as in, the symbol of feelings? This seems like a grief thing, stabbing others in the heart to represent the attacker’s own pain, although that’s kinda Freudian.

Need more proof? Look at who was impersonated in this game:

Miaya Gekkogahara: the Ultimate Therapist, and one of the creators of the Neo World Program. Anyone could’ve been chosen, and yet it was her. She could’ve been imprisoned or her body could’ve been hidden, but she was killed in a rather horrifying manner, and it was discovered. There is likely some animosity towards either her or the Neo World Program.

Is it just me, or does the death by poison make people look similar to monokuma; Human edition? Like, look at bandai.

It’s hard to tell because of his dark skin, but the entire left side of his body goes into a dark shade, and his eye bleeds out, turning it red.

The same thing goes for Koichi, though in his case, the contrast is much more obvious. And it’s, like, a nearly perfect divide between the two halves of the body. This is some screwed up poison to have been created SOLELY to have such an effect.

Feel free to show how this theory is incorrect or add things to it!

This may simply be that he finds it comfortable to have his hands in his pocket but ever since finding out about the forbidden actions he hasn’t taken his left hand out of his pocket once. Not to sleep, run to tell the others about a dead body, tease or sit down and drink.

Now I can understand walking about or just standing with the casual hand in pocket however it seems unnatural to be doing everything without taking his left hand out, almost as though he is afraid to do so? Or that he can’t? 

It can’t be the second option as before Bandai gets killed, when he first wakes up his left hand is not in his pocket and if his forbidden action was simply “your left hand can’t be taken out of your pocket”…. he would be dead by this point.

Therefore if his forbidden action is related to his left hand being in his pocket constantly then maybe its because its safer to do so? Therefore I believe his code may be something like “you cannot use your left hand”. By having his left hand in his pocket at all times he isn’t gonna end up using it accidentally, triggering his death.  

Something that could oppose this idea is the simple fact that he had to actually check his watch in the first place to see what he cannot do…. and the watch is on their left hand. However, by doing that he technically isn’t using his hand rather he is using the watch which is on his wrist. Which means he could have checked the forbidden action and realised the safest option was placing it in his pocket. 

Now for the question I can’t currently think of an answer to… why his left hand?

I thought Kizakura was following Kyoko around in future arc because he was afraid of dying or something. But that’s not it.
