The long-awaited Akatsuki no Yona side story by Mizuho Kusanagi officially begins. This special side story explores what happens next in the Kingdom of Kouka following the events of the main story.

To commemorate the completion of the series, an Akatsuki no Yona Memorial Fan Book will also be released. It includes:

• Newly drawn cover illustrations

• Exclusive interviews with Mizuho Kusanagi after the final chapter

• Behind-the-scenes illustration making content

• Special commemorative material for fans

Kusanagi Mizuho's latest tweet:

"And I apologize for this right after the final chapter, but since there were still a few parts I couldn't quite fit in, there will be a side story (gaiden) in next year's Hana to Yume Issue #6 (on sale Feb 20). Volume 47 (also out Feb 20) will include up to Chapter 274. Chapter 275, the final chapter, and the side story will be collected in Volume 48. I really wanted everyone to be able to read all the way to the end in one go, but it just wouldn't fit in Volume 47... (ugh!)"
