Hellboy was always a flirtatious and snarky individual, so to have someone match that energy brought a whole new side of playfulness to him

If he’s honest, he’s surprised to meet someone that can stay on the same level of sass as him.  He’s pretty impressed

Being a competitive individual, Hellboy will continuously try to out-snark and out-flirt you, trying to see who would win this game of flirtation

The two of you will take any opportunity to make a slick comment or make a playful advance upon each other

There was one time during an important meeting where the two of you spent nearly the whole time passing....interesting... notes to one another and making obnoxious faces across the table

Abe had to try to help get you two to focus when it got to be a bit too much during more serious matters

One of his favorite things about these little snarky sessions the two of you had with one another was the way that your face lit up from being proud of how great your comebacks were

He also enjoyed the way you laughed at his creative advances and adored how you could come up with something witty to respond with almost immediately without hesitation

After a while of this game of flirtation, Hellboy eventually asked you to go out with him

Even after you two became a couple, the constant barrage of flirting and witty remarks never stopped coming
