among the joy of his happy ending, recognize the idea of Caine fucking up post-finale.
among the rush of emotions from his return and the reveal of the cast's IRL identities, recognize the agonizing several days that likely followed as the adrenaline began to fade.
among his change in attitude, recognize the very real possibility of Caine falling back into bad habits.
among the removal of the source of his instability regarding his emotions, recognize that he likely still lashes out when he's upset.
among the sweet idea of him fearing the abstraction of the cast, recognize that it stems from the fear of being alone just as much as it does a fear of his friends getting hurt, if not more.
among the happy pictures of him going on adventures with the cast, recognize the extremely bumpy road that he had to take to get to that point.
among his tender change of heart, recognize that – despite being an AI – Caine is incredibly human, and he is flawed in ways that can't be fixed with a single heartfelt apology.

First is her first art of Mori, my OC for the fic, a moth boy who quickly becomes comfortable with the circus, but not for the reason you might think—as far as he’s concerned, the circus is a welcome second chance at life. He’s easily the most sensitive member of the circus, which is just as much a blessing as it is a curse.
