girl even in my own dreams i get rejected. I dreamt about Hasan and we were friends and i had an unrequited crush but weâd always talk on the phone, and Iâd be walking my dog and purposely bump into him walking Kaya. Just like irl I was hopelessly harboring a big fat crush on him and he was just being Hasan, being nice and oblivious
Literally no one is meaner to you than your dreams. Anyway hereâs a half assed fic thing.
Oblivious!Hasan who genuinely thinks you just walk your dog the same place he does every day. Even Kaya seems to know what youâre trying to do.
Oblivious!Hasan who doesnât even realise that youâre one of the only people heâll talk on the phone with for hours.
You who starts to give up on him. Thereâs only so much heartache you can take so you start to distance yourself from him.
Oblivious!Hasan who canât figure out why heâs so irritable lately. Until he realises you havenât spoken to him in days. It very slowly dawns on him that heâs maybe possibly completely in love with you.
Lovesick!Hasan who looking back notices all the signs you were giving him and wants to kick his own ass for missing them, worried heâll never get another chance with you.
Lovesick!Hasan whoâs ready to kick down your front door when you decline yet another one of his calls
The part in the newest pod episode where Hasan tells Austin âyou donât get to order her aroundâ when Austin is trying to ask his assistant to mail something for him and Qt is like she has asked what kind of snacks we like and Hasan says âyeah I told her cut it outâ and I just imagine him saying that about you when youâre trying to be hospitable to everyone but doesnât want you to lift a finger
Pffft the whole pod trying to use Hasanâs girl to get to him. Theyâre donât even ask him if heâs free anymore they just ask hasGF. Austin sends her a list of demands snacks for when heâs staying there. Hasan is over it quickly though and heâs just like âstop using my girlfriend đĄđĄđĄâ
OR
Hasanâs new girl that he hasnât introduced to anyone yet is staying over and Austin just decides heâs staying that night too (he breaks in again). That morning they run into each other in the kitchen and Austin just assumes Has got a new assistant. He asks her to go buy some stuff for the pod and sheâs just confused so just goes back upstairs to get dressed to go out and get it. Hasan is like ??? No you donât work for him you are my girl????
Austin is very apologetic when Hasan chews him out about it.

summary: you and hasan piker have always been an unlikely pair, but somehow the two of you fall into step like youâve been doing it for years. between shared routines, quiet evenings in his tooâloud house, and the kind of chemistry everyone else notices long before either of you admit it, one chaotic slipâup finally pushes the truth into the open. an accidental appearance on stream, a flustered confession, and a very clingy night on the couch turn your secret relationship into something softer, louder, and far more real than either of you expected.
warnings: tooth rotting fluff!!!! soft & funny hasan, domestic energy, no mentions of y/n.
word count: 2.9k
a/n: hi guys!! this is my first hasan fic and if im gonna be honest this is a gift to someone so i hope you guys enjoy it!! also yw to the hasan-tumblr community because the fics are practically non existent!
*as always, thanks @uzmacchiato for the gorgeous banners <3
moving in with hasan had been⌠an adjustment.
not a bad one. just, you know. a hasan one.
the kind of adjustment where you woke up to him loudly arguing with his toaster (âbrother, you are literally burning my breadâ), or found him pacing the living room at 3 a.m. explaining the history of labor unions to his dog. the kind where heâd wander into the kitchen shirtless, hair a mess, and immediately launch into a rant about how billionaires should be launched into âfuckingâ space.
youâd gotten used to most of it.
what you werenât used to yet was his schedule.
specifically: the sacred (and approximate) 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. streaming hours.
youâd been living with him for a week, and every day you tried to stay out of the way during those hours. youâd go out, run errands, hang with friends, sit in a cafĂŠ, wander aimlessly for no reason; anything to avoid accidentally interrupting him midâstream.
but today?
today you forgot.
you came home around 6:30, humming to yourself, keys jingling, brain blissfully empty. you kicked off your shoes, dropped your bag on the couch, and wandered down the hallway toward his office, with the singular goal of asking him if he wanted tacos later.
you didnât even think.
you just opened the door.
and walked straight into frame.
hasan was midâsentence, hands flying around as he explained something to chat, something about healthcare, judging by the words âdude, itâs literally not that complicatedâ coming out of his mouth, when he froze.
you froze.
the chat did not freeze.
the chat fully detonated.
âOH MY GODââ hasan blurted, passing a hand over his face, eyes widening.
you gasped, quickly noticing what had happened. you mouthed, âcrap!â your hands flying to your face. you backed up so fast you nearly tripped over the doorframe.
hasan swiveled in his chair, staring at you like youâd just walked in holding a live grenade.
âdid you, did you forget?â he whispered, voice halfâlaugh, halfâpanic.
you nodded aggressively, mouthing âiâm so sorryâ like you were in a silent film.
the chat was going feral.
you could hear it even without reading it.
hasan dragged a hand down his face. âguys, stop. stop. stop. stop. stop. stop.â he said, pointing at the screen like he was scolding a classroom. âno. weâre not doing this. weâre not, dude, come on.â
you peeked your head back in, mortified.
he glared at you playfully. âdonât you dare peek like a raccoon. you already committed the crime.â
you mouthed âsorry!â again.
he sighed dramatically, then turned back to chat. âokay, listen. that was, that was my girlfriend. yes. girlfriend. congratulations, you caught me lacking. i hope youâre proud of yourselves.â
the chat exploded harder.
hasan winced. âbrother, i swear to god, if you start shipping us with some cursed name iâm ending the stream early.â
you covered your mouth, trying not to laugh.
he pointed at you again. âand you, come here.â
you shook your head violently.
âcome here,â he repeated, softer this time.
you stepped inside, cheeks burning.
he reached out, grabbed your wrist gently, and tugged you onto his lap like it was the most casual thing in the world. you squeaked, actually squeaked, and he snorted.
âchat, look what you did,â he said, gesturing at your face. âyou embarrassed her. youâre all criminals.â
you buried your face in his shoulder.
he kissed your cheek, quick and soft, like he didnât even think about it.
you scrambled off his lap and practically sprinted out of the room.
behind you, you heard him mutter, âiâm never hearing the end of this,â followed by, âno, chat, sheâs not joining the podcast, shut up.â
you spent the next two hours hiding on the couch, face buried in a pillow, replaying the moment over and over like a cringe compilation.
you could hear him through the wall, loud, animated, occasionally yelling âDUDE!â or âbrother, thatâs not how economics works!â or âchat, stop calling me a simp, iâm literally not.â
you groaned into the pillow.
you were never showing your face again.
finally, around 9:15, the stream ended. you heard his chair roll back, heard him stretch, heard him mutter something about âmy spine is filing a complaint.â
then footsteps.
then,
âhey, criminal.â
you peeked over the pillow.
hasan stood in the doorway, arms crossed, smirk already locked and loaded.
âdonât,â you said immediately.
he walked over, plopped onto the couch beside you, and immediately flopped onto you like a weighted blanket.
âyou,â he said, poking your cheek, âare a menace.â
âi forgot!â you protested.
âmmâhmm.â he poked your cheek again. âyou forgot. you forgot the one rule. the one. singular. rule.â
âiâm sorry!â
âno, youâre not,â he said, grinning. âyouâre embarrassed. which is hilarious.â
you shoved him weakly. âhasan!â
he laughed, loud and warm, head dropping onto your shoulder.
âthe chat loved you,â he said.
âoh my god, donât say that.â
âthey did,â he insisted. âthey were like, âwow, sheâs so pretty,â âsheâs too good for him,â âdrop him, queen.ââ
you groaned. âstop.â
âno, because theyâre right,â he said, nudging you. âyou are too good for me. iâm literally a gremlin.â
you rolled your eyes. âyouâre not a gremlin.â
âi am,â he said. âiâm a little goblin man. i live in my cave and yell at strangers on the internet.â
you snorted.
he brightened. âsee? look at that. i made you laugh. iâm fixing the embarrassment trauma.â
âitâs not trauma.â
âitâs trauma,â he said confidently. âyouâre never going to walk into a room again without checking for cameras.â
you sighed, leaning into him. âi really didnât mean to ruin your stream.â
he blinked at you. âruin? dude, you made it better.â
you looked up.
he shrugged. âseriously. i donât care. like, at all. they were gonna find out eventually. you just, you know. speedâran it.â
you laughed softly.
he nudged you again. âalso, you did steal my viewers.â
âi did not.â
âyou did,â he said. âmy numbers spiked. chat was like, âbring her back,â âwhereâd she go,â âhasan, move, youâre blocking her.ââ
you covered your face again.
he gently pried your hands away. âhey. hey. look at me.â
you peeked.
he smiled, softer than usual, less chaotic, more real.
âiâm glad youâre here,â he said.
your chest warmed.
he immediately ruined it. âeven if youâre a menace who canât read a clock.â
you shoved him again. âyouâre impossible.â
âand you love me,â he said, smug.
you rolled your eyes, but your smile gave you away.
he grinned, victorious, and curled closer, head resting on your shoulder, arms looping around your waist like he planned to stay there forever.
âalso,â he added, âweâre getting tacos. you owe me for emotional damages.â
you snorted. âemotional damages?â
âyes,â he said. âi was publicly humbled. do you know how rare that is? iâm usually the most confident man alive.â
âyouâre still confident.â
âyeah,â he said, âbut now chat knows i blush.â
you laughed.
he kissed your cheek again.
âcriminal,â he whispered.
you didnât get off the couch for a while.
mostly because hasan was on top of you like a human paperweight, refusing to move. heâd sprawled across you dramatically, limbs everywhere, like he was trying to absorb your entire soul through osmosis.
âyouâre heavy,â you muttered.
âiâm dense,â he said proudly. âlike emotionally and physically.â
you snorted.
he grinned into your shoulder. âsee? iâm hilarious. the chat was right to worship me.â
âthe chat worships you because you yell at them.â
âpositive reinforcement,â he said. âtheyâre like cats. you have to bully them a little.â
you rolled your eyes. âyou bully everyone.â
âyeah,â he said, âbut you like it.â
you shoved him weakly. âi tolerate it.â
âyou love it.â
âi tolerate it.â
âyou love me.â
you sighed. âhasan.â
he looked up at you, eyes bright, smug smile already forming. âwhat?â
âyouâre impossible.â
âand you love me.â
you groaned, pushing his face away. he laughed, grabbing your hand and pressing it to his cheek like youâd just blessed him.
âanyway,â he said, âiâm starving. letâs get tacos.â
âyou said i owe you.â
âyou do,â he said. âemotional damages. public humiliation. loss of dignity.â
âyou donât have dignity.â
âexactly,â he said. âand you made it worse.â
you laughed, and he lit up like heâd been waiting for that.
he sat up, stretching, then offered you his hand like he was escorting you to a royal banquet.
âcome on,â he said. âletâs go before i pass away from hunger.â
âyouâre so dramatic.â
âiâm literally dying,â he said, standing. âmy stomach is eating itself. this is cannibalism.â
you snorted, getting up.
he grabbed his keys, wallet, and then, without thinking, your hand.
you blinked.
he didnât.
he just tugged you toward the door like it was the most natural thing in the world.
the taco place was quiet, warm, dimly lit. hasan immediately started talking with his hands, explaining to you why he believed chicken was âthe working class hero of tacos.â
âitâs reliable,â he said, gesturing wildly. âit shows up. it does its job. it doesnât try to be fancy. itâs just, boom. chicken. perfect.â
you laughed. âyouâre ridiculous.â
âiâm correct,â he said. âand youâre lucky to witness my genius.â
the waiter came by, and hasan immediately turned into the most polite man alive.
âhey, man,â he said, smiling. âhowâs your night going?â
you watched him switch from chaotic idiot to charming extrovert in two seconds flat.
the waiter left, and hasan leaned back, sighing. âokay, so. we need to talk about the incident.â
you groaned. âno.â
âyes,â he said. âbecause it was funny.â
âit was embarrassing.â
âfor you,â he said. âfor me, it was hilarious. the chat was totally losing their minds. i havenât seen them that feral since i accidentally spilled coffee on my keyboard and yelled.â
you covered your face. âi didnât mean to walk in.â
âi know,â he said. âthatâs what made it funny.â
you peeked at him.
he smiled. âyou looked like a deer. like, full panic. like you walked into a crime scene.â
âi did!â
âyou walked into my office,â he said. âthe only crime was me explaining healthcare for the fiftieth time.â
you laughed.
he leaned forward, elbows on the table. âseriously, though. i donât care. iâm not mad. iâm not stressed. iâm not, whatever you think i am.â
you looked down. âi just didnât want to mess anything up for you.â
he softened. âhey.â
you looked up.
he tilted his head. âyou didnât mess anything up. you just⌠revealed that iâm capable of affection. which is honestly a public service.â
you snorted.
he grinned. âalso, the chat thinks youâre cool.â
âthey donât know me.â
âthey know enough,â he said. âthey saw you panic. relatable queenâ he teased, rolling his eyes playfully.
you groaned.
he laughed, reaching across the table to flick your hand. âyouâre fine. i promise.â
the food arrived, and hasan immediately started eating like he hadnât seen food in three days.
âthis is so good,â he said, mouth full. âiâm fucking ascending.â he mumbled.
âew chew your food,â you said.
âno,â he said.
you laughed.
he pointed at you. âalso, youâre banned from the office during stream hours.â
âoh youâre so dramaticâ you said rolling your eyes.
âno, like officially banned,â he said. âiâm putting up a sign.â
âa sign?â you questioned.
âyeah,â he said. âitâll say âno girlfriends allowed.ââ
you raised an eyebrow. âyouâre banning me from your office?â
âyes,â he said. âfor your own safety.â
âmy safety?â
âthe chat will eat you alive,â he said. âtheyâre like piranhas. but with keyboards.â
you snorted.
he leaned back, satisfied. âbut also, you can come in whenever you want.â
you blinked. âyou just saidâŚâ
âthe sign is fake,â he said. âitâs for decoration.â
you laughed.
âyouâre ridiculousâ you joke, slightly pushing his shoulder.
he smiled, soft and warm.
on the drive home, he kept glancing at you.
not in a weird way. just, checking. making sure you werenât still embarrassed.
âyou good?â he asked.
âyeah.â
âyou sure?â
âyes.â
âpositive?â
âhasan.â
he grinned. âokay, okay.â
he reached over and squeezed your knee gently.
âyouâre good,â he said. âi promise.â
you smiled.
he nodded, satisfied.
back home, you flopped onto the couch again. hasan dropped beside you, immediately curling into your side like a cat.
âiâm tired,â he said.
âyou streamed for seven hours.â
âi talked for seven hours,â he corrected. âthatâs different. thatâs labor.â
you laughed.
he nudged you. âyouâre laughing a lot today.â
âyouâre funny today.â
âiâm funny every day.â
you rolled your eyes.
he grinned, then shifted so he could look at you properly.
âhey.â
you hummed.
âthanks for moving in,â he said.
you blinked.
he shrugged. âi like having you here.â
your chest warmed.
he immediately ruined it. âeven if youâre a menace who breaks into my office.â
you shoved him. âi didnât break in!â
âyou did,â he said. âyou infiltrated. you breached security.â
âthe door was practically open.â
âyou breached security,â he repeated.
you laughed.
he curled closer, head on your shoulder again.
âyouâre cute when you panic,â he said.
âhasan!â
âyou are,â he insisted. âyou did the little gasp. the little âoh no.â adorable.â
you groaned.
he laughed, pressing a quick kiss to your shoulder.
âcriminal,â he whispered again.
you rolled your eyes, but your smile betrayed you.
he saw it.
he smirked.
âyou love me,â he said.
âi tolerate you.â
âyou love me.â
âi tolerate you.â
âyou love me.â
you sighed.
he grinned, victorious.
you didnât get to enjoy the peace for long.
hasan had energy again.
which meant you didnât get to rest.
he shifted, rolling onto his back dramatically, one arm flung over his forehead like he was acting in a tragic play.
âiâm thinking about it again,â he said.
you sighed. âhasan, please.â
âthe incident,â he said gravely. âthe betrayal.â
you groaned. âi didnât betray you.â
âyou did,â he said. âyou walked into my stream. you exposed me. you revealed that iâm capable of human affection. do you know how damaging that is to my brand?â
you stared at him. âyour brand is yelling at the chat.â
âexactly,â he said. âand now they know iâm soft.â
you snorted. âyouâre not soft.â
he gasped. âi am so soft. iâm like, emotionally squishy.â
you laughed.
he pointed at you triumphantly. âsee? you think iâm funny. the chat thinks iâm funny. iâm unstoppable.â
you rolled your eyes. âyouâre insufferable.â
âand you love me.â
âwhatever.âyou scoffed jokingly
he grinned, smug and bright and impossible.
he shifted again, rolling onto his stomach, chin propped on your chest like he was a cat claiming territory.
âyou know what the chatâs gonna do tomorrow?â he asked.
you groaned. âwhat?â
âtheyâre gonna ask about you,â he said. ânonstop. like, âwhere is she,â âbring her back,â âis she real,â âis she a hallucination.ââ
you covered your face. âiâm never showing my face again.â
he laughed. âyou donât have to. iâll just tell them youâre in witness protection.â
you snorted. âiâm not in witness protection.â
âyou are now,â he said. âyou witnessed me being affectionate. thatâs dangerous.â
you shoved him.
he laughed harder.
he rolled onto his side, facing you.
âhey.â
you hummed.
âyou wanna come on stream sometime?â he asked casually.
you blinked. âwhat?â
ââjust⌠hanging out. talking. bullying me. the chat would love it.â
you hesitated. âi donât knowâŚâ
he nodded. âthatâs fine. no pressure. just an idea.â
you nodded.
he nudged you. âyou donât have to do anything you donât want to.â
you smiled.
he smiled back.
he stretched, arms above his head, shirt riding up slightly.
âokay,â he said. âiâm done being sentimental.â
you laughed. âyou werenât sentimental.â
âi was,â he said. âi was soft. i was vulnerable. i was like a little emotional pancake.â
âyouâre an idiotâ you laughed
he pointed at you. âdonât laugh at me.â
âwhat! youâre ridiculous.â
âand you love me.â
you groaned.
he grinned.
then, he rested his chin on your chest. âyouâre stuck with me.â
âi know.â
he smiled.
after a moment, he spoke again.
âhey.â
you hummed.
âthanks for not freaking out,â he said.
you blinked. âi did freak out.â
âyeah,â he said. âbut not like, in a bad way. you didnât spiral. you didnât cry. you didnât run away. you just panicked like a little hamster.â
â...like a little hamster?â you questioned raising your brow.
he laughed. âyes! you did the little hamster freeze.â
you shoved him.
he grinned, delighted.
âyouâre adorable,â he said.
you rolled your eyes.
âyouâre my favorite person,â he said quietly.
you blinked.
he didnât look up.
he didnât make a joke.
he just said it.
soft. sincere. real.
your chest tightened.
âi love youâ you whispered.
you stroked his hair gently.
he melted.
you stayed like that for a while.
quiet. warm. tangled together.
eventually, he spoke again.
âhey.â
you hummed.
âyou wanna watch something?â he asked. âlike a movie? or a documentary on the 13th amendment?â
you snorted. âthe 13th amendment? are you serious? no.â
âcoward,â he said.
you laughed.
he nudged you. âokay, fine. you pick.â
you grabbed the remote.
he curled closer.
âiâm really glad you walked into frame.â
you blinked.
he smiled up at you.
âit was funny,â he said. âand it means i donât have to hide anymore.â
your chest warmed.
he kissed your cheek as you pressed play. grinning, feeling completely victorious, and curled into you like he planned to stay there forever.

Itâs hot as fuck here and Iâll I wanna do is nap, so hereâs some little Has Nap headcannons
Hasan didnât really take naps before you moved in with him. He always kept his schedule so busy that he really didnât have time.
However when you live with him, heâs quite happy for you to drag him onto the couch or into bed after a stream.
Sometimes he doesnât even sleep, he just enjoys the way you snuggle into him while youâre asleep.
Kaya is also a big fan of family nap time. She plops herself on the other side of Hasan. Yes everyone is a little bit too warm but he wouldnât change it for the world
The more he does this naptime routine, the more often he does fall asleep in the family cuddle pile.
He has been known to end stream early to join your naptime, not that he tells chat that.

Warnings: Reader smokes, angst, not proof read
Smoking is such a dirty habit. You remember when you were a child the smell used to make you screw your face up, it reminds you of your uncle. You could always find him by following the stench of cheap cigarettes. You wonder if he did the for the same reason as you, desperation to be in control of something. You blow plume of smoke out into the air of the penthouse balcony and watch it float away. Your eyes flick down to the smouldering butt in your fingers, guilt bubbles in your gut. There goes another clean streak. You hear the glass door slide open, heâs checking up on you, abandoning his stream.
âYouâre smoking again?â He questions. You can hear disappointment in his tone, it makes you curl in on yourself. You turn your head to peer at him, heâs dressed in his suit almost comically opposing your disheveled self. Your hood is pulled up over your head with your free hand stuffed in the hoodie pocket. You donât know what to tell him. He wonât understand why you need this.
âI guess soâ You shrug after a moment, turning back to the New York skyline. You feel his eyes on you, youâre worrying him. You stub out your cigarette on the small table next to you and dump it in your makeshift ash tray (a glass).
âSomething on your mind?â He asks. You know he doesnât mean it to sound so accusatory, he always struggles to turn off his online persona. Still, it makes you put your guard up a little.
âNothing importantâ You smile half heartedly at him. You can tell he wants to argue with you, tell you he canât fix it if you donât communicate whatâs wrong. But heâs stream is waiting for him inside.
âWell, Iâm almost done. Then we can order some food up yeah?â He says with his eyes still trained on you. You nod and he disappears back inside, leaving you alone with your thoughts once more.
You arenât sure why youâre struggling just now. Youâve been hiding your relationship with Hasan from pretty much everyone you know for years at this point. The last few weeks have been hard, the more attention he gets from the mainstream media bring so many more hungry eyes. Everyone is talking about the lefts most eligible bachelor. But heâs not. Heâs supposed to be yours. No one knows about you, not even his closest friends. He swears itâs easier for both of you, you agreed with him for a while. But the secrecy is taking its toll, your insecurity claws at your throat. You canât tell him. Heâs got so much on his plate and you canât let yourself add to it.
You look at the sky again, wishing it held answers. You resist the urge to light another cigarette and head back inside, careful to stay out of sight of the camera as you head back to the bedroom.
-
Hasan finishes stream slightly early. Heâs got a gut feeling that you need him right now. He finds you lying on the bed, doomscrolling on your phone. You look tired, even more than you did on the balcony. Heâs got a feeling what this is about, it canât be easy listening to the whole world talk about how eligible he is. Part of him wants to scream at the world how his heart only belongs to you, another part is terrified of what would happen to you if he did. Heâs seen firsthand how cruel the internet can be to anyone associated with him, how could he ever do that to you?
He crouches down next to your head, heâs hit with a whiff of minty. Youâve brushed your teeth to hide the smell of smoke. His hand gently rests on the side of your face.
âYou want to tell me whatâs going on in that pretty little head of yours?â He asks quietly. He hates seeing you upset. Heâll do almost anything to fix it.
âYou just got done, donât you want to relax?â You sigh. He desperately tries to not roll his eyes at your avoidance.
âI wonât relax until I know youâre ok. You havenât smoked in almost a yearâ He sighs. He understands the pull, some days heâd happily light up a smoke to unwind after dealing with morons all day. He just doesnât understand why you gave in.
âIâm justâŚIâm just struggling. A little bit. Itâs nothingâ You mumble trying not to meet his gaze. Uncertainty twists in his gut. This is it, youâre done sneaking around. This is where he loses you.
âStruggling with what honey?â He continues anyway. He wonât make you stay if youâre unhappy, even if it kills him.
âThisâ You gesture lazily between yourself and him as you sit up. The dagger in his heart twists a little more.
âThe sneaking around?â He says, voice shaking a little. Heâs mentally beating himself up already. You deserve to be shown off, how could he be so fucking stupid? He deserves to be alone.
âI donât know why! Iâve been fine with it-Have been fine with it! I know you love me, I just- I donât knowâ You ramble, fingers pulling at your hair. How could he do this to you? Heâs ruined you. Heâs fighting back tears already.
âIf you need to⌠take a break⌠from us. Thatâs okâ He canât meet your eyes when he says it. His heart is shattering in his chest already, looking at you might kill him.
âI donât want toâ You pout tearfully. You pounce at him, heâs barely got a chance to get himself on the bed before youâre curling into his chest. Heâs not sure if itâs you or him trembling. He squeezes you into him like a child holding a teddy bear after a nightmare. He canât lose you. He wonât.
âIâll tell everyoneâ He says suddenly. You tense against him. âI mean itâ
You sit up to look at him. His face is serious. He really means it. You feel more tears pour down your cheeks.
âReally?â You ask in disbelief. He nods immediately.
âI donât care what anyone tries to do. Youâre my girlâ He sounds so sure of himself even though the anxiety in his chest is making it hard to breathe. You kiss him hard, pouring everything you can into the kiss.
That night, once your fallen asleep on his chest, he scrolls through his camera roll. He picks ten of his favourite pictures of you and him to post on his socials. He looks down at you and smiles before hitting post. Not even ten minutes later, he gets a text.

Warnings: Angst, smut, misogyny (not from Hasan)
This isnât how you expected your life to be at this point. When you were younger you always imagined a perfect white picket fence life: a husband, a dog, a toddler with a little baby on the way. You almost had it, for a while. Then something changed. You and your boyfriend fought constantly over basically anything, the laundry, bills, who changed more diapers. The once perfect life you had pictured crumbled in front of your eyes. You put on a brave face for your daughter. Tried to make the idea of having two homes exciting. She wasnât old enough to understand, she just wanted both her parents under one roof.
The first few months after you moved out were tough to say the least. Your little girl would scream and beg for her papa at night. Whenever you dropped her off at her dadâs she would have a meltdown when you went to leave. The scheduling was hard too: who had her when, where would he pick her up from, could his mom have her on x day?
It took almost a year but youâve got the hang of this whole co-parenting thing. Drop offs arenât a battle anymore. Hasan actually moves his schedule around now. Life almost feels peaceful. You decide to download Tinder again after many years, time to move on from Hasan. You swipe through far too many rude, arrogant men until you find Josh. Heâs nice enough, if not a little dull. You chalk it up to nerves. You arrange to meet him for dinner next Saturday.
You: Hey! Can you take birdie next weekend?
Hasan: Yeah no problem
Hasan still gets slightly sad when you drop off his daughter. Heâs not sure why, maybe itâs seeing you in his space again. He was so sure you were it for him, the fairytale ending. Well, at least youâll be in his life forever. Heâs got all of Birdies favourite toys laid out and dinner keeping warm in the oven. Will and Caroline are coming over in the morning to see their niece. Itâs so domestic. The only thing missing is you.
You appear at his door five minutes early as always. Birdie is perched on your hip, bouncing with excitement to see her Papa. You smile gracefully as he opens the door, your little girl immediately trying to squirm her way out of your arms.
âThereâs my girl!â Hasan grins, plucking her from your arms. She squeals as he lifts her above his head before smothering her with kisses. You follow them inside, listening to her ramble about all the things she did this week. Until she sees Kaya and immediately wants put down to see her big sister. Hasan watches them from the corner of his eye as you place her diaper bag on the kitchen island.
âSo, plans tonight?â He asks offhandedly. He thinks youâre probably due a girls night, you definitely deserve one. However, from the way you flinch slightly at his question, he might be wrong.
âI uh, have a date actuallyâ You admit while desperately avoiding eye contact with him. His mouth is suddenly dry and he feels slightly sick. Part of him knew this would happen eventually. Neither of you would stay single forever. He hadnât prepared himself for this at all.
âOh! Thatâs- thatâs great!â He tries to sound enthusiastic. To hide the growing heartbreak in his chest. He does not want to think about another manâs hands on you. Heâs suddenly fascinated by the marble countertops.
âYeah, Iâm excited about itâ You smile. You are genuinely excited to go out and be a human again. Not just a mom. He smiles back at you but it doesnât reach his eyes. You call over your daughter .
âYou be a good girl for Papa ok?â You remind her, giving her a big hug. She runs off the second your grip loosens,
âDonât worry, sheâll keep me out of troubleâ Hasan jokes. Heâs not sure if he wants you to leave or stay. The tension between you is palpable. He watches you walk out the door, waits for it to click shut before he lets out a sigh he didnât know he was holding in.
âPapa draw!â The little girl shouts for him.
As heâs sat on the floor, carefully colouring in a unicorn his daughter already scribbled all over, he canât help the jealousy burning in his chest. You should be here with them, cuddled up on the couch with Kaya as he chased the toddler around. But youâre not. Heâs definitely not blameless for your absence, fatherhood has not been an easy adjustment for him and he had taken out a lot of frustration on you. Maybe part of him thought he could have you back. If he just proved how much he had changed, maybe you would love him again. But heâs missed his chance.
âPapa sad?â She asks, watching him intently from across the coffee table. She looks just like you when she does that.
âA little bit, Birdie. Sometimes people get sadâ He explains gently. She thinks for a moment before launching herself into his lap and burrowing into his chest. He will never admit to getting a little misty eyed at that.
âAll betterâ She mumbles against his chest. He hugs her tighter.
âAll betterâ

Turns out dating is still horrible. Once you had met Josh at the restaurant, the first thing he did was look you up and down and shake his head. He explained that you âdressed like you were going clubbingâ. You decided to ignore that comment. He barely made any more conversation until he was five drinks in and you made the mistake of mentioning your child.
âYou have a kid?â He asked, disgusted look on his face. You donât want your shock to show on your face at his tone.
âUh, yeah I have-â You started to explain before he cut you off
âFuck sake, another used up whoreâ He groaned.
âExcuse me?!â
âSingle moms are the downfall of America you know?â He laugh, spitting everywhere.
âIâm leavingâ You stand up and bolt out the door. Dating is horrible.
Once you were back in your car, far away from that disgusting man, you just sat there for a minute. Bad dates were always a blow to the ego but that was a whole new level. There must have been signs, how could you be so stupid? Tears rolled down your cheeks, maybe you should just be single forever.
Your phone starts ringing in your bag placed on the passenger seat, you scramble to answer it.
âHey! Sorry to interrupt your date, have you got Piglet? She was fell asleep before she noticed it wasnât here but Iâm screwed if she wakes up in the night and she doesnât have itâ Hasan explains. You desperately try and control yourself, the last thing you need is your ex knowing how much youâre struggling to move on. A quick look in your daughter car seat shows Piglet lying there.
âYeah Iâve got it in the car, Iâll come drop it offâ You say. Hasanâs stomach drops when he hears your shaky voice, you only sound like that when youâve been crying.
âAre you ok?â He asks gently. You let out a humourless laugh, swiping away a stray tear.
âIâm fine, just a shitty dateâ You sigh.
âDo you need someone to come get you? I can call Will, or Austin I guessâ He rambles. Thatâs the Hasan you know, always in fix-it mode.
âNo, Iâm ok. I promise. Iâll drop off her toy on my way home ok?â

Hasan is pacing around his kitchen like a mad man. His mind is in overdrive over all the things that could have possibly happened to you. Heâll never forgive himself for letting you walk away, he should have kept you right here where itâs safe. It takes all his willpower not to bolt right over to you when you let yourself in. Probably the last thing you need is a 6â2 man crowding your space. Heâs relieved to see that youâre not too disheveled, your makeup has run a little but no obvious physical damage. His chest is screaming at him to hold you, to make all the anguish go away. He resists.
You donât look at him. You canât take his pity just now. You consider throwing the plushie at him and running out the door. You fiddle with its pink arms, chewing the inside of your cheek.
âSweetheart, what happened?â He asks carefully, like heâs talking to a frightened animal. You can feel him watching you, part of you wants to fall into his arms like you used to do.
âIt was awful, he was so rude. He told me single moms are ruining Americaâ You start crying again and Hasan breaks. Heâs always hated seeing you cry. Heâs wrapped around you in an instant, pressing your head into his chest. You canât stop the tears dampening his shirt anymore, your daughterâs plushie squished in between you.
âI just wanted someone to like meâ You sob quietly. He squeezes you tighter, tears pricking at his own eyes. He subconsciously kisses your hair. God he missed how your shampoo smells.
âSorry, you donât need to deal with thisâ You say, pulling away from him. It feels wrong, the sudden distance between you.
âYou deserve so much better than himâ He sighs. He canât take his eyes off you, even heartbroken, youâre the most beautiful woman heâs ever seen.
âYou wereâ You say quietly. He looks crushed by your words. Maybe he does miss you as much as you miss him. Youâre not sure what comes over you, as you launch yourself at him. Your lips meet his and your heart soars, he kisses you back. His hands fly to your hips, you think heâll pull you closer but he stops himself.
âHoney, we canâtâ He doesnât sound convinced by his own words âYouâre upset, it wouldnât be rightâ
Shame blooms in your chest. Heâs right, you know that. It doesnât soothe the sting of another rejection. Youâre mentally planning your escape route when his hands cradle your face.
âTrust me, sweetheart, I want to. God I want to. But youâll regret this in the morningâ He sighs. He should punch himself, he thinks, heâs got a beautiful woman asking for him and heâs refusing her.
âStay here tonight, I donât want you driving like thisâ He says so quietly itâs almost a whisper. You nod, preparing mentally to spend the night in his guest room. Outside his bedroom door, you get a sudden sense of dread.
âI donât want to be aloneâ You whisper, aware your daughter is sleeping just a room away. Hasan opens his bedroom door and gently guides you inside.
It should feel strange being under his sheets again. Being this close to him again. But it just feels so natural. Youâre wearing one of his T-shirts, between that and the sheets all you can smell is him. He lays down next to you, unsure of what to do with himself. You shuffle closer to him and rest your head on his chest, listening to his heartbeat. He buries his nose into your hair, sighing contentedly.
âIâve missed youâ He admits so quietly that you almost donât hear it. Your heart warms, your fingers dance along his skin.
âI miss you tooâ

When Hasan wakes up, heâs confused for a moment. Itâs been so long since heâs woken up with someone next to him. But then he remembers itâs you. Every part of him wants to roll over and bask in your warmth. However, he hears his darling daughter babbling away on the baby monitor. He quickly mutes it before she wakes you, you are supposed to be having a break. He checks his phone, Will and Caroline will be here within half an hour. He pads through to his daughterâs room, sweatpants hung low on his hips.
âGood morning Birdie!â He cheers while lifting her out of the crib. âAre you excited to see Uncle Will and Aunt Caroline?â
He takes he downstairs for breakfast, lets her eat out in the yard so she doesnât wake you up. Heâs spends most of the time trying to stop Kaya from eating all of kiddos food. It keeps his mind off of you, fast asleep upstairs. Then Will and Caroline arrive.
The little girl runs to Will the minute they walk in the door. Heâll never tell his brother but Will might be her favourite uncle. Caroline immediately notices something off with Hasan.
âSheâs upstairsâ Hasan admits, trying to keep his voice down. Both of them look confused for a moment, then it clicks for Caroline.
âOh! Uh, girlie! Do you wanna go to the mall and use Uncle Wills credit card?â Caroline says, picking her up. Will is still confused.
âWhat?â Will asks. Caroline is already pulling him back out of the door.
âI want details laterâ Caroline grins at Hasan before ushering Will out the door.
Hasan lets out a deep sigh once heâs alone. Heâs not sure whatâs going to happen once you come downstairs. Heâs terrified youâre going to just leave, that youâll slip through his fingers once again. He doesnât have much time to overthink it, you appear at the bottom of the stairs.
âHeyâ You try to smile at him. Your hands wring together, so obviously nervous it makes Hasanâs stomach churn.
âHey, did you sleep ok?â He asks.
âYeah, thank you for letting me stay. You didnât have toâ You say. Heâs desperate to hold you, he knows he canât.
âYou always have a place here, you knowâ He says
âI wanna apologise for what I did last night, I shouldnât have made a move on you like thatâ You say with your eyes closed. Youâre scared if you look at him youâll start crying again.
Heâs quiet for a moment, contemplating how to go about this. He decides to bite the bullet.
âDid you mean it? When you said you missed me?â He says, eyes boring into you.
ââŚYeah. I didâ You admit quietly.
Hasan is next to you in two long strides. Heâs holding your face and kissing you before he can talk himself out of it. Your hands scramble up his torso as you kiss him back. He picks you up, your legs wrap around his waist and he carries you upstairs. Your mouth never leaving his. He places you on the bed, only pulling away to pull his shirt over your head. You pull him down onto the bed, he rests against the pillows as you straddle his hips. He groans as you grind down against him. You donât want to waste time, youâve waited too long for this. He slides inside of you, filling you completely.
Hasan thinks he might finish right there. Your tight warm pussy grips him so beautifully. He bites down on the inside of his cheek and tries to just focus on your pleasure. His thumb glides across your clit making you twitch.
âFucking hell sweetheart, you trying to kill me?â He groans. You chuckle breathlessly, raising up and dropping back down. His fingers dig into the fat of your ass. He loses himself in the feeling of your movements.
âI love youâ He mumbles, his soft eyes meeting yours. You pause for a second, then smile. You cup his face in your hand and kiss him slowly.
âI love you tooâ You sigh. He thrusts his hips up into you, hitting your spot.
âSo good for me sweetheart, you wanna cum for me?â He moans. You nod enthusiastically, starting to beg him for your release. He loves the control.
Neither of you last long, itâs been too long for both of you. He pulls out (no more babies for you two, yet). He cleans you up then lies back down in bed with you, holding you close to him. His fingers run through your hair.
âWe should talk about what this meansâ You sigh quietly. He presses his lips to your forehead.
âNot just now, weâve got timeâ He replies. Heâs just happy to have the missing piece of his family back in his arms.

âHow long do you think itâll take for them to notice?â You ask with a giggle. Hasan laughs and pulls out your chair for you. Marche is quietly setting up microphones and cameras for the pod.
âTheyâll either notice immediately or not at allâ Marche laughs. You canât help but admire the beautiful new ring adorning your left hand as you sit down. Hasan smiles at you and kisses your head before disappearing to get a drink. Will walks in, followed closely by Austin.
âHey you!â Will greets warmly âHow was New York?â He sits down next to you and gives you a side hug.
âIt was really nice actually, even if it was technically a work trip for Hasâ You smile. Austin is too busy drinking his coffee to pay attention to whatâs going on.
âOh my god, I have so much to catch you up onâ Austin groans. Hasan comes back and holds your hand underneath the table, just in case they notice before you start filming.
QT arrives and the podcast starts as usual. Your hand rests up on the table, none of them notice your big new rock. Hasan keeps looking at it, trying not to grin at it too much. He just loves knowing youâre going to be his partner forever. As the recording starts to get close to the hour mark, Marche decides to make it a little more interesting.
âHave you guys noticed anything different about our guest?â Marche asks. Willâs head whips around, immediately looking you up and down.
âWhat is- OH MY GOD!â He exclaims after finally noticing your ring. Hasan immediately bursts out laughing. QT leans over the table to inspect your hand, squealing.
âWhat?â Austin asks, still looking at Marche. He looks back to the group and it suddenly clicks.
âOH!â
QT is openly crying at this point, already telling you that sheâs making your wedding cake. Will is berating Hasan for not telling him that he was even thinking of proposing. Marche is laughing at the chaos.
âIâm invited to the wedding right?â Austin asks.
âNoâ Hasan jokes, earning him a slap to the arm from you.
âI need a flower boy!â
Austin has found his true calling, professional flower boy.
