Attention all... The Official Staff at Tumblr Headquarters in New York City and their offices across the United States have put out a Community Notice to all accounts on tumblr that there has been activity where someone pretends to be with Tumblr, but they're not. It's called a Scam. These Scammers claim to have heard about reports but there hasn't been any at all. I haven't fell for it, but I caught wind of the alert from the official Tumblr Staff by way of a Community Notice. What can we do to help each other?
If you get a notice and it says that they want a payment before the account is reinstated, STOP IMMEDIATELY!! This is a Scam!!

If any of you are in the United States, please check to see if you received any of these false notices and report them to Official Tumblr Support Staff, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, or the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3). Additionally, you may also report these false notices to Local Law Enforcement in your area.

This is only a warning from one Tumblr User. Check with Tumblr Support for further information on this, as I am NOT in any capacity working with Tumblr Support Staff.
