like i was reading bluebloods recently and something that was mentioned it is that hyrule only really feels safe when legend is around and while thats certainly is in part because he was hyrule's hero and while he certainly is different than how he actually imagined him(partly due to legend's stories being mixed with silent's) i think part of this is because of just how similar echo and legend are

like it obviously begins with the fact that both wear red and have color changing hair but also just the way they act

hyrule sees legend under the extreme emotional distress of TSWK palace of the 4sword and he cant help but remenber the moment echo realized when she was and how her world fell apart, he sees the way legend saves wind from almost drowning and he cant help but remenber all the times echo came to him after he was backed into a corner using his shield spell, the way legend desperately runs to help ravio after he gets hit by the giant eye plant and the first thing that comes to mind is echo watching in horror as her wristband and his tunic turns red, a clear sign that dawn needs urgent help, he sees the legend stares at the ocean and the first thing that comes to mind is echo staring at the castle town rebuilding efforts, both desperately searching for something, for someone who should be there yet it isnt, not anymore

even in the moments of happyness, hell even the place where he and legend first met was the same place where aurora was asleep just in the past! he sees legend's era and he thinks of the tales older fairies like great fairy trill told him, a hyrule before the great decline, a golden age unlike any other in hyrule's history, he sees legend messing around and he can almost imagine what echo must have been like in her era, almost like he is seeing a ghost of someone he should know yet he doesnt

hyrule could swear that if legend wasn't "an average nobody" he could be her grandfather

- failed their initial plan doing it alone (spamton failed to get into queen’s basement alone; magolor failed to fight Landia alone), so they turn to the protagonist for help

- Uses an artifact to transform into their boss fight form and immediately attacks

- after the fight they become “friends” with the protagonist and becomes their ally
