I read an article in the Cult of Mac the other day comparing the User Interface of MacOS and iPadOS.  After reading it, and taking a close look at the author’s examples, I felt his assessment totally missed the mark.

It becomes much more complicated when you work a side hustle while dealing with a chronic illness.

Dealing with a new cluster episode, I’m fighting a depression. Depression born of frustration, loss and inability to do what I know I can. My normal outlet for dealing with depression is writing. But when I can’t focus enough to write, it is a vicious circle. I tried to capture that in something I wrote.

This was the result.

On a whim I tried a product that I have been staring at for a year. The PaperLike screen protector for my iPad. I purchased it and then waited patiently for it to arrive. It seemed to take forever, but really it only took a few days. I was just being impatient. The day it arrived, I applied the new screen protector and immediately started playing with it. The first thing I discovered was the enhanced feel of the protector and how much it improved my writing. Yes, that screenshot above is improved. Can you imagine how much worse it was originally? But seriously, I love this screen protector. I used my iPad before to take notes with, but most of the time I typed. Now, I’m able to take hand written notes and actually read them! Not only did I receive the screen protector, but I also received a link to download the digital journal PDF with active links to navigate this 380 page beast of a document. The video that is included with the download page gave me an idea for doing a journal, and I adopted it. — that’s the typed text you see on the left side of the image.
