If your friends had bet on when Minjae would confess to you, they all would have lost.

No one expected for it to happen within a few weeks of your last hangout at the movies.

Everything happened so fast.

First, the mint haired decided to write you a song and, obviously, produce it himself.

After so many nights of frustration and self-doubt, he created a beautiful song that expressed how you made him feel and how incredible you were.

And then, when he felt that it was ready, he played it for you while you were eating takeout, just the two of you. He would have cooked, but it wasn’t his strong suit and he didn’t want to burn down the kitchen.

After listening to it and shedding a tear or two because of how moved you were, Minjae asked you to be his girlfriend to which you enthusiastically said yes.

And that was the start of something beautiful.

Fast forward to a few months later. Not much had changed, except that you discovered that the now pink haired was preeetty clingy and tended to sulk a lot when you were far from him.

Like that time when you were working late for the upcoming comeback of the boygroup you worked with.

You were, once again, late at the studio when your phone rang. It was a FaceTime call from Minjae.

“Hi, my love.” You greeted him.

“Hi, pretty girl.” He smiled as he rested in bed back at the apartment. “How is work going?”

“Pretty good, actually. I think I’ll be done in a couple of hours.”

“Hours? That’s a lot of time.” He pouted, making you laugh.

“I promise it’ll pass by fast, my sulky baby.”

The pink haired just smiled, blushing. At the beginning of your relationship, he used to cover his face whenever he got red, which happened a lot. But as time passed, he stopped caring that much, especially because he saw that you liked it and would always touch his cheeks.

“But I miss you.” He whined.

“But you saw me this morning and in the evening. We even ate together.” You chuckled.

“So? Can’t a guy miss his girlfriend?”

“He can, but not you. You literally see me 24/7.”

“Almost 24/7.” He remarked.

“Okay, almost.” You rubbed your eyes as tiredness started to creep in. “I’ll be home soon. Okay, love?”

He nodded. “Just don’t overwork yourself, pretty girl.”

“Promise.”

“Love you.” He smiled softly at you.

“Love you, too.”

You hung up and sighed, resuming your work.

You actually finished faster than anticipated, with sleepiness and the desire to be with your boyfriend contributing to it.

Your walk home was fast and enjoyable, not a single soul out there.

As you arrived at your apartment, you made sure to make as little noise as possible since you knew that Jaehyun was already asleep and hoped that Minjae was as well.

When you opened your bedroom door you could see a figure resting there. Smiling, you changed into your pyjamas quickly and joined the pink haired under the covers.

He stirred as soon as he felt the bed dip, turning onto his side to look at you with half-closed eyes.

“My pretty girl.” He smiled widely and took you into his arms.

“Hi, my love.” You kissed him near his lips.

“I’m glad you’re home.” He spoke softly as he settled his head on your chest.

“Me too.” You smiled with tenderness as you wrapped your arms around him and closed your eyes, falling asleep in no time.

Something that occurred quite often since you started dating was your friends finding you and Minjae napping together on the living room couch.

It could happen day or night; the time didn’t matter. Especially when you had a very rare day off that you both shared at the same time.

Jaehyun, Riku and Yujin walked into the apartment after a day of shopping. Which translated to Yujin going shopping and making two of her best friends hold her bags all day long. And inviting them to lunch after she was done, which was the only reason why they always agreed to do it. You can’t blame them for wanting free food.

The third roommate sighed. “I love them and all, but I haven’t been able to sit on the couch and just watch my show this week.”

The girl hit him on the chest. “Leave them alone, they’re cute.”

“Yeah. Just buy another couch, then.” Riku shrugged.

“Just bu-“ Jaehyun considered it for a moment. “You know what? Maybe that is the solution. I always thought the room was missing something, anyway.”

“There you go.”

“They always make me feel single.” Yujin pouted while sitting on the kitchen island. “Maybe I need a boyfriend.”

Riku was about to speak when Jaehyun looked at him with a side eye. “Don’t even think about it.”

“Why not?” The brown haired frowned.

“I don’t want to be the only single guy in the group.” He argued. “I hate third wheeling.”

Riku laughed. “We’ll get you a girlfriend next.”

Jaehyun rolled his eyes playfully. “Yeah, sure.”

And if you’re wondering: yes, Riku asked Yujin out, and she agreed.

And Jaehyun got a girlfriend, no thanks to Riku. How? Not even he knows.

But that’s a story for another time.

Star’s POV

Ever since that fatal day, Nicholas and I had started talking more. As it was comeback season, it was easier to text and facetime than to see each other in person.

He wasn’t the pain I had expected; he was actually pretty chill and funny. Now I understood why my brother liked him so much.

Today, my members and I were back at another music show, resting in our waiting room. We still had a few hours until we were scheduled to record our stage, so we were all doing our thing.

Moon was sleeping, Yena was writing on her notebook with her headphones on, Hana was talking on her phone and I was doomscrolling on mine, until a message popped up in my notifications.

I smiled without realizing it.

“Ohhh, who’s making you smile like that?” Hana asked from behind me, making me hastily shove my phone down. When did she hang up?

“No one.” I smiled at her.

“Sure.” She looked unconvinced. “Is it a boooy?”

“When have you ever seen me talking to men? I don't even have free time.” I rolled my eyes playfully as I tried to stay calm and avoid saying anything incriminating.

“That’s… true.” She nodded.

“I was just talking to Asahi. He was telling me a crazy anecdote about his members.”

“Oh, tell him I said hi. He’s so nice.”

“I will.” I looked down at my phone. “By the way, I’m stepping out for a little bit. I’m meeting him to grab a snack.” I lied. Thankfully, he was mc’ing that day, so if I needed him to save my ass with the blonde, he could.

“Okay, just remember to be back before 6.”

“Yeah, don’t worry.”

“Have fun.” She waved me off.

“You too. Tell your lover I say hi.” I teased her.

“Not my lover!”

“Yet.” I laughed as I exited the room.

As I walked out, I looked around to see if I could find the brown haired. I strutted down the hall and just as I was about to text him, someone grabbed my shoulders.

“Boo!” Nicholas exclaimed.

I jumped and spun around. “Idiot!”

He laughed, a wide grin spreading across his face.

“Your idiot, though.” 

“Unfortunately.”

“Ouch.”

I laughed. He was so cu-

No, he wasn’t. I had to remember that this was all fake. That the only reason why he was so flirty and charming was to make it look believable, nothing else.

I forced a smile, a little too tight, hoping he wouldn’t notice that there was something going on with me. He extended his hand and I took it, as we set off toward the cafeteria.

We talked about everything and anything; it was so easy talking to him.

It wasn't until that moment that I realized my feelings for him were slowly changing. Nicholas was kindhearted by nature, but on top of that, he was such good company. He always made sure I was warm enough, paid attention to every single thing I said, and always comforted me even without telling him that something was wrong. The list went on and on.

I needed to talk to someone about this or I was going to explode. 

I wanted to keep helping him, but the line between a platonic friendship and a crush was getting blurrier by the second. 

Synopsis: Nicholas likes one of the top idols of the moment, he’ll do anything to get her attention. Even fake date one of her members.

It was 2 in the morning when you woke up and decided that you were hungry enough to abandon your comfy spot on your bed next to your boyfriend.

Normally, you were too lazy to get up in the middle of the night but today it was necessary, according to your stomach.

You untangled yourself from Jiho and walked to the kitchen quietly.

You searched for your favorite snack which was located in a cabinet and walked to the microwave.

You slowly and carefully peeled open the package and started it.

While it was heating you tried to monitor the timer so that you could stop it before it did that obnoxious beep.

Unfortunately, you yawned and zoned out for a few seconds. You were so far gone that you didn’t even realize that you were no longer paying attention to the timer.

And as you feared, the beep rang throughout the kitchen, making you wince.

You stood there for a couple of seconds praying that your boyfriend didn’t hear it, before grabbing a plate and placing your snack on it.

After that, you sat down in the chair by the kitchen island.

You chewed slowly, with your eyes closed, trying to savor it as much as you could.

Suddenly, you felt a pair of arms around your middle.

“You left me.” Jiho pouted.

You giggled. “I just went to get a snack, love.”

“Still.” He buried his face in the crook of your neck and shoulder. You stroked his hair softly, making him sigh.

“Let’s go back to bed, my sleepy beauty.” You said as you finished eating.

Your boyfriend just nodded, barely awake.

You got up from your seat and took the plate to the sink, Jiho still clinging to you.

With a little difficulty, since he was practically leaning all of his weight on you, you were able to return to your bed.

You covered both of you with the blankets, while the boy cuddled you and kissed your head gently.

“Night, sweetheart.”

“Sweet dreams, love.”
