She removes invisible thorns from the wounded.

Roses grow from their sorrow.

After dark, she eats the flowers.

A chapbook written over several months about grief, ghosts, coffee, songs, survival, and the strange privilege of being alive.

The stories are interconnected. Characters wander through one another's lives. Small details become important later. Themes repeat like refrains in a song. People leave pieces of themselves behind.

The book asks a simple question:

What survives when everything else is lost?

I spent a long time writing these stories.

Now they belong to whoever needs them.
