Mad Love ★

But she was… walking away from him? His brow furrowed softly, something didn’t feel quite right. Sasuke’s jaw tightened slightly and part of him just wanted to let her walk away… that was, until she collapsed onto the ground. Then he moved forward at a brisk pace, moving to stand in front of her.

“Sakura…? Is everything alright?” He asked, looking down at her warily. She looked different. Older, even. That feeling in the pit of his stomach providing him with little comfort. But despite this, he reached his hand out for her in an offer to help her up.

                    Why?

                         Why?

     Why did she always put herself through this? She grasped his hand, standing up with his help. Sakura didn’t speak. She was thinking about the situation. The pinkette was quickly piecing together what was going on here. She had met Hinata a few days before.. And now Sasuke was here too- and he was younger than her, just the same as Hinata... 

     ‘So.. If that’s the case...’ Sakura stepped away from the ravenette, her eyes narrowing. “What was the last thing you said to me?” She finally asked. “Before seeing me in this City... Before any of this.” Sakura knew she could never hurt Sasuke.. Even if she was still incredibly mad at him. But she was afraid he didn’t feel the same. Wasn’t he able to hurt her all those years ago? 

At this point, he was just trying to sleep it off.

Not that it would help at all, given the fact that bones were broken. But Link didn’t know any better. In the absence of potions in this city, he just didn’t know what to do with his injuries. He could barely breathe and barely walk, but since sleeping on a bus bench was only giving his back more pain, he had no choice but to stand and limp to another resting spot, wherever that would be.

     The pinkette swooped in, grabbing his arm gently and resting it over her own shoulder. She gave him a soft smile, trying to make the situation feel more relaxed. Now, sure it looked at though Sakura was going to help him along, but she had a different plan. Instead of walking by his side, she’d do one better. “Hold on tight.” She said, picking the blonde up very carefully. Sakura was very strong, and this was no feat for her. 

               “I’ll bring you over to my place! I have some medical supplies there.”

     She almost stumbled back when the pink haired woman bent down, and there was no fighting the reddish tint her cheeks were taking on. While she was often lightheartedly teased by her friends, but this was a first for a stranger to do. Usually, she could lash out–punch them in the shoulder, or shove them away–but she was at a loss here. 

     Sakura felt so horrible! She didn’t mean to offend the other girl,·“Oh I’m so sorry!! I-I just assumed... With your height--” She stopped herself. It was probably a touchy subject and Sakura didn’t want to continue being rude to this stranger.·

     And yet...

               ‘I can’t believe this girl is so incredibly cute!! If only I knew her better..

               I’d scoop her up into my arms and give her a tight hug! “I’m not a

               child!” How adorable! Especially with that pouty face she’s making! I

               wish I was her mother..!’

     Sakura could hardly contain her thoughts This girl was really just too cute.. But, the pinkette wouldn’t speak of the matter... Until she got to know this girl better, of course.

     She was about to ask if the other needed help reaching to get an item off of a shelf, but then it hit her that might be rude to ask... Considering the height complex. So Sakura smiled politely,·“Well... Are you looking for something? Maybe I could help?”·

     The sudden contact of the pink haired girl made Hinata jump. She was not used to such things so it made her nervous but happy nonetheless. 

     Hinata pulled a map from her jacket pocket and unfolded it to show Sakura the marking of her apartment and what sector it was in. She often carried a map around the city, better to be safe than sorry(especially in this city). 

     Sakura was always so amazed by Hinata’s ability to think ahead. She always had everything she needed. The pinkette wished she could plan as well as her friend did. 

     After seeing the kunoichi point, she leaned in close to view the map. “Hm... Alright, shouldn’t be too hard to find!” Sakura had to admit, she was still fairly new to the city... But walking around with someone she was close to would make exploring much more fun! Plus, it would be nice to know where one of her friends lived. “I don’t think I’ve ventured over there before..” She trailed off. 

     The pinkette linked her arm with her beautiful friend, “Hinata, you’d better stay close to me! There are all sorts of creeps in this city...” She clenched her fist, “I still have a bit of my strength, at least enough to throw a car on someone if they try gettin’ fresh!” She spun her head towards Hinata and smiled. She felt very protective of the other, especially after realizing Hinata was still a bit young.. She wanted to keep her safe. Sakura wondered if Hinata retained any of her abilities as well..

               “Alright then, shall we? As they say... U-Uh...--”

        In response, she turned her head at the adolescent whose voice cheerily broke the silence, batting her gaze at the approaching company while she stood there still. Eventually, she managed to pull an awkward smile, not certain of what to do other than accept the unexpected compliment that was being thrown at her. 

        “…Oh, thank you…” And with the velocity of how things were going at the moment, it felt all so rushed, introductions being passed around without warning, as if she had been neglecting a long conversation from prior meeting. She did her best to catch on though, exchanging her name with the other’s as naturally as she could without coming off too startled. 

        “I am Bishamonten, and that is fine, Sakura.”

        There was an awry pause in between, thinking of how to continue this flow of discussion. Unfortunately, she wasn’t one to be a talker with strangers, especially when she barely knew them. It would have been ruthless of her to ignore, however, and so she returned kind commentary with her own, being as genuine as she could with it.  

               “W-Who.. ME? You think I’m beautiful?!”

     Sakura couldn’t help but blush. After all, one of the most enchanting woman she had ever set her eyes upon was bestowing a high compliment onto her. The female ninja suddenly felt terribly embarrassed. “T-That’s very nice of you...” She stuttered out, her cheeks tinted a light shade of pink.

     She suddenly felt very self conscious, wondering what to do with her hands. She made eye contact with Bishamonten a couple of times, only to look away soon after, “Have you been in the city long?” Sakura finally squeaked out, her words finally finding their way back to her. Sakura could only imagine what the blonde was thinking of her right now... She had to look so uncool--! ‘Aggh!! Sakura, you really need to get your act together--!!’
