Easy Bread 🍞
Ingredients:
1 table spoon of active dry yeast
1 table spoon of sugar
1 table spoon of salt
2 cups of warm water
5 ½ to 6 cups of all purpose flour
Cornmeal or flour for dusting
Boiling water
Steps:
Combine first four ingredients until the yeast is dissolved.
Gradually add in the flour one cup at a time until the dough pulls away from the sides of your bowl.
Place on floured surface and knead for five minutes and then let the dough rest for one minute and then knead for two or three more minutes.
Clean the leftover dough out of the bowl and then grease.
Place your kneaded dough back into the greased bowl and flip so the top is greased as well.
Cover with a damp towel and leave for one to two hours to rise.
Cut the dough in half and then shape any way you like. Place them on a cookie sheet generously sprinkled with cornmeal. Let loaves rest for five minutes.
Lightly cut design on top of loaf then brush with cold water.
Place a roasting pan at the bottom of the oven full one inch deep with boiling water. Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 35 to 45 minutes until golden brown and sound hollow when tapped.
