Also a lot of this is based on my own lore, including her family members who are all my ocs as well. I might add them eventually but for now they just exist for Ivy and to make her a more well rounded character.

Meaning of name: Ivy ( old english ) — after the evergreen climbing plant which sometimes symbolizes eternal life ; Marlena ( german & hebrew ) — a combination of sea of bitterness or radiant, which is honestly fitting either way.

Gender/pronouns: cis female ; she/her ( straight )
Species: human ( not a witch )
Abilities: none — though she is emotionally intuitive and becomes attuned to frequencies of magic, even if she can’t cast anything herself.

Occupation: manager and hostess at Romano’s, a fictional restaurant in Chicago which was incidentally where she met Bill ; she later becomes a secretary and researcher at Gringotts, where she also helps in managing interpersonal relationships among the goblins and various employees.

Others: she also becomes very good friends and sister like with Emilia Black, who is her maid of honor at her wedding. It works out since Ivy is very supportive of her relationship with Charlie and is pushing for them to be actual sister in laws.
Notes: she honestly considers Arthur and Molly better parents than the ones she had growing up, so they become that placeholder for her despite the rocky start. She still talks to Ethan and she is close with him, and they remain close after she leaves Romano’s ( he was the chef while she managed ), but depending on which point she’s at in the story, she considers herself fully integrated into the Weasley household with no shame.
Vert type: ambivert — while outgoing on the surface, she likes to be alone to recharge but can do just as well with people, so it’s hard for her to say whether or not she’s a complete introvert or extrovert. Neither feel accurate since it depends on her mood and the energy levels for the day.
Core personality type: ISTJ ( defender ) ; with ESTJ ( executive ) management style, especially in stressful situations — can generally come off as a little overbearing, but she means well and is an exceptionally hard worker with high expectations for herself.
She hates letting anyone down, and sometimes fully believes she can single handedly keep the world running without recognition.
Favorite animal: cats as indoor pets, since she loves Walter ( the cat Bill had adopted from the shelter before they even met ) and adopts him as her own fur son without much thought — but she also loves horses. she’s obviously never had one but has always dreamed of having one some day, or at least getting to ride one.
Favorite foods: anything pasta based, but she even loves plain mac n cheese mostly because it’s convenient and she loves it every time ; when he’s feeling brave Bill will make fun of her for loving pasta and she just responds with a bowl of plain spaghetti.
Favorite season/holiday: she doesn’t really celebrate holidays until she becomes part of the Wealsey family and then it’s Christmas, but before that she just likes the summer/fall season.
Biggest fear(s): letting her guard down and becoming vulnerable to others in a way that hinders her ability to take care of herself or those around her. Losing her sense of self.
Insecurities: generally worries about being seen as a failure, incompetent or lazy. She struggles with an overall sense of worthlessness despite seeming to have accomplished so much, which she sees as a necessity more than anything she actually wants to do for herself. She gets defensive whenever someone points it out or brings up her low self-esteem.
