hiii just finished fss and i wanted to thank you so much for such an amazing ending, as bittersweet as it was. i truly couldn’t imagine it ending any other way (for better or worse for them lol). this is truly such a lovely story despite all the gruesomeness of it, my hearts breaking but im happy at the same time !!! sorry for the long text lolll

#while writing the ending i was fantasising about a reality where scott didn't off himself #but he never contacts mike again either he just goes home to his shitty family #and then like fifteen/twenty years down the line mikes out of prison and theyre both kind of old #and they run into each other totally by accident #and theres obvs some big tension there where mike has gotten a lot better but dear god does he want to kill this guy #and youd think thatd be bad news to scott #but the brutal reality of his kind of injuries is that as he gets older it gets so so much worse #like he is not well at all #and he takes the chance encounter as a sign #and asks mike to take him out back and put him down like a sick dog #and then that happens #scott still gets his brains blown out just over a decade later and by mikes hand #some comment on how he taught mike to shoot yada yada #this ending is not as good imo but thats why it didnt happen that way #SCOTT DIES. THE END #<3
