aries: loses their excitement, snaps at everything but doesn’t get over it as quickly as they usually do

taurus: talks down to those around them, probably becomes really dependent on weed and food. blows all their $$$

gemini: they become scatterbrained and all over the place, can’t hold a conversation as well as they usually do. jittery af

cancer: hates being alone, tries to surround themselves with their loved ones. impulse shopping and pity parties. lots of crying

leo: has a “why me” mentality. isn’t as conversational or charismatic and can kind of turn into a bully

virgo: anxiety masked by rude comments and judgemental glares. self deprecation. fails to see any good in themselves

libra: pretty good at recognizing why they feel a certain way. easily verbalizes their feelings even if they don’t really “feel” them yet

scorpio: shuts down. outbursts of aggression and anger. probably victimizing themselves. rude to their loved ones

sagittarius: turns reckless and irresponsible, doesn’t take anything seriously (to a fault). purposely tries to piss everyone off

capricorn: their self esteem drops so they take it out on everyone else. hypocritical. bitter af but they just need a hug

aquarius: isolates themselves and ghosts everyone. lacks warmth. unpredictable emotions. hard to read

Today is Juneteenth, the day on which Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas in 1865 to enforce the freedom of the remaining enslaved people in the US — two and a half years after the issuance of the Emancipation Proclamation.

WNDB continues to reflect on the ways Black people are still not free today and, more importantly, on the ways non-Black people can combat anti-blackness and the systemic inequalities and injustices Black people face.

We wish our Black followers, volunteers, and colleagues a day of rest, joy, and community as the rest of us continue to do the work, uplift Black voices, and resist revisions of reality that deny the truth of our past and present. We are not free until we are all free.
