SANTANA: Drab or mind numbingly dull? Everyone's busy, I feel like I've spent the past month by myself.

SANTANA: That sounds great... in theory.

[PAUSE]

SANTANA: I think there's some baggage you're forgetting about.

KITTY: No. I didn't forget.

[A BEAT]

KITTY: I know this is going to make me sound like a bad mom, but can't I just have time for myself? I mean. Not to say that I wouldn't love to bring Chris with me, but I'm not sure if Finn would be okay with that considering the fact that I want the chance to be not sober. And that I would be bringing Chris with me and away for his first big trip without Finn.

[ANOTHER PAUSE]

I understand - I have the same problem, but it’s me. I promise it’s cool to talk about. In fact, it’s nice to have someone to do that with. Oh good, so we don’t die in this story? That’s a relief! Well thank you, Kitty-Kat… I think. I mean, hopefully it will happen someday, but I don’t want to pressure Ryder on it or anything. I’m honestly just happy to have a great relationship. I don’t want to jinx it. But there is a little pressure!

Holy cow, Lynn. I’m about you blow your mind more than it has blown mine. It’s basically Twilight Zone on crack and even creepier because everything seems like it could almost be tomorrow. You have to check it out, especially the second episode - ‘Fifteen Million Merits’. You’re welcome.

SANTANA: I'm trying to get things together for a vacation. And by that, I mean that I still haven't figured out where I want to go.

SANTANA: I finished an entire season of Chicago PD in one day last week. Not really something I'm bragging about, just a testament to my boredom.

[A PAUSE]

KITTY: Well. Then we'll fix that. Pick a place and I'll go with you. As great as New York has been for finding a path, or whatever, the scenery has been pretty drab lately.

KITTY: Besides. I keep talking about how much I want some time out to just be the girly girl that I am, but I keep putting it off. I keep putting off time with you, more specifically. So. No more.

SANTANA: It's the truth. It's like you and I were the pawns that bitch threw in to break Fuinn up, but she didn't consider we were both going to fall in love and get mangled in the process.

SANTANA: That makes sense for you. Although, I'd say right now is a good time for all of that. He won't remember it. Once he's like 5, you're going to have to be more careful with your decisions.

SANTANA: Terrifying? You've already done the terrifying part. Marriage is supposed to be the good part before you get to the kids.

SANTANA: Who are we talking about?

Oh! Wow, I was totally off by all means then, lol. Well, I guess that’s better than freaking out, right? That’s true, but I still don’t know if that’s a good thing or not, if he totally avoided it. I guess we just didn’t really get beyond moving in together? I mean, we’ve talked about that happening in the future, but I don’t know that it would be anytime soon. We’ve made it clear that we do want that someday, but it’s been a while since it came up, honestly.

My mouth has gotten me in trouble too many times to count, so I’m going to hold my tongue a tiny bit on this whole thing. Buuuut, if you were to ask me then all I can say is it just seems like you two are basically the epitome of the not-death star-crossed lovers, so I’m willing to hold my breath until I see a big ol’ rock on your finger. ... Maybe. Who knows. No pressure.

Today, one of my co-workers had the nerve to imply that I needed a “mental health day.” If I do, it’s because I need to listen to his insufferable mouth spew bile every five seconds while I’m trying to read through paperwork. Some people have a lot of nerve.

And that’s the truth, Ruth. You’re right, and I guess that’s probably at least a little bit true too. It’s not about the quantity though, it’s the quality.

Oh. Oh, no. I’m only dropping the wedding bells hints, not the baby making hints. He kind of side stepped the whole situation, actually. Then again, he and I aren’t exactly as close as you and I are, so I didn’t really expect much more. ... But you guys have been dating for, like...over a year. Haven’t you had the ‘where is this going’ talk?

SANTANA: Well that's great. See? It's timing. Bitch is high maintenance AF. Everything's always gotta be on her terms.

SANTANA: That door can go a couple ways. Not all roads lead to marriage. But if you want them to, I'm certainly not going to stop you. As long as my bridesmaids dress isn't ugly. I'd never forgive you.

SANTANA: I guess not. I'm pretty sure one of the other things we have in common are that neither of us has the personality to make friends.

KITTY: It's funny you say that since that's pretty much what spurred our "open and honest" chapter of conversation. We both agreed that Timing was a horrendous bitch.

KITTY: I guess that's true. Some people just stay unmarried but "eternally bound", or whatever. I don't even know. We're basically snails right now because I think we're both worried about rushing into things -- especially now that Chris is involved. And you know me better than that. And Kurt.

[A BEAT]

KITTY: Not that I'm thinking about it. I refuse to think about it unless there's a ring on my finger. ... And even that's a terrifying thought.

SANTANA: There is time for that hair to turn red...

SANTANA: Okay, I don't care what you think or don't think you should tell me, I have to know now. What's happening that's got you so optimistic you're thinking about weddings? Even if it is in the future.

SANTANA: Damn straight.

SANTANA: Yeah, I know. Same.

KITTY: Don't even jinx me.

KITTY: Santana...

[A PAUSE]

KITTY: Fine. Nothing is...happening, or whatever. Well, that's not true. I don't know yet. We're...talking. Figuring things out. Maybe trying again.

KITTY: We admitted some things to each other and I asked him if we should close the door on "Us" and he said that he doesn't want to. That he can't. And he's been...trying lately. Romantic things. Being more open with me. Basically everything I've lamented about is being revamped.

KITTY: I'm not thinking about the aisle. But...if he and I try this then it's going to end one of two ways. The door only goes two ways.

KITTY: Exactly. No worries about a "side piece". You don't really have much competition, though, if I'm being honest.

SANTANA: Yeah, that part's nice. It's the moving forward that's irritating me. Patience isn't a virtue I possess.

SANTANA: Luckily Chris isn't a ginger terror.

SANTANA: I don't really know Finn. You don't think you having a whole secret life you just don't tell me about is weird? Besides, who else are you going to talk to about it?

[A BEAT]

SANTANA: You don't have a side piece, do you? A back up Santana?

SANTANA: Water under the bridge. Better to just let it be one of those things you just let go.

KITTY: You and me both. ... From my own personal experience on the matter, it's worth it. Even when it seems like it might not be.

KITTY: Thank God for that. Or our genes.

KITTY: Of course it's weird, but...I don't know. I guess I'm just trying to make things easier for you. Like I said, Quinn isn't over all of this and I don't want her to get weird if you have to, like...be a maid of honor, or something.

[A PAUSE]

KITTY: Not that I'm engaged or even really thinking about it. I'm just...planning for the future, I guess.

KITTY: Please. She'd already be missing if I had one, courtesy of the Snixx.

SANTANA: Which part?

SANTANA: I'm pretty sure Chucky is about an evil doll.

SANTANA: What position? I promise Quinn doesn't want to hear anything about you or Finn, so it's not like I'm keeping secrets.

SANTANA: Oh. Well, like I said, I was only partially mad about you. I was mostly mad because of things that came out about me.

KITTY: Taking things light. Breezy, or whatever. It just seems like you never had the opportunity to back in Lima, what with everything going on.

[A BEAT]

KITTY: And the whole "moving forward" thing.

KITTY: A /child/ doll.

KITTY: Exactly. It just seems...unproductive, I guess. You don't like Finn, so why should I talk about him to you? You knowing things about us would...I don't know. Make things harder for you and Quinn. She obviously hasn't let it all go and you knowing the deets of whatever he and I are probably won't sit well in your tummy when you're trying to make her feel better.

SANTANA: You know, I'm actually trying to keep things light between us, in hopes we might actually make some kind of movement. But if I find a place, I could ask her what she's heard.

SANTANA: Do not watch those shows. All it's going to convince you of is that your kid or your husband is definitely going to kill you.

SANTANA: He wouldn't be my favorite person to hang out with, but I don't get the rage sweats thinking about him. It's no big deal.

SANTANA: You know how some people are just depressed and there's not one cause? You can't fix one thing and cure me, Kit. But I appreciate your wanting to.

KITTY: Well. That's quite a change from the usual.

KITTY: Yikes. What about when I'm husband-less and only have an infant? Is this what Chucky is about?

[A SMALL BEAT]

KITTY: Still. I don't want to put you in that position and caught in the middle any more than what you've been.
