They say love is everything. That love should motivate you too keep your relationship. But what is love? Is love going out of your way to keep your significant other? Is love putting your happiness aside for the sake of theirs? If so, we are different. Because the way I see it, I'm going out of my comfort zone just to be with you but it's rarely reciprocated.

That is the same exact excuse you tell yourself every time you two are in an argument but what happens next? You're back in the same spot you started from. Maybe it's time to look at things differently because this "love" that you think you feel is just an emotion that is blocking your vision.

I've tried is all I can say at this point. For you to walk away so easily in every argument we have to face tells me that you are not ready for this relationship. Just because I am your first does not mean you can use it because it's been over a year and that excuse is no longer valid. All I know is that I have treated you like the princess I have always loved. But for now I'm hoping you'll come back because I am done apologizing for the faults you have made. Like they said, "if you love something let it go, and if it comes back then that's how you know."

Instead it's easier to struggle through heartbreak in order to meet someone who will treat you better.

I love you, so much. But the way you're treating me is pushing me away. I understand that I'm your first boyfriend but being a little too overly attached is choking me. I need space, I need my own time alone. You can't always know where I am, who I'm with, or what I'm typing on my phone. I need you to TRUST me because if you keep this up, I'm slowly going to get tired of you.

That is what I have been told and that is what I have always believed in a relationship; to consider your significant other before yourself. Of course I do agree that loving someone unconditionally would mean considering him/her first but sometimes it does not always work that way. I believe that you can only do so much to please your significant other. Although being “considerate” is a part of a healthy relationship, you can easily forget yourself in the process of always acknowledging their emotions before your own.

Love is an indescribable feeling and is only explained through the emotions you feel towards each other. Love will teach you how to be patient; how to love someone unconditionally. Love will introduce you to a whole new emotion that you have never felt before. Though love is full of unexpected memories with your significant other, love can also be painful.

To pour your heart out for one person hoping they would feel the same way but in reality, they're just watching you make a fool out of yourself.

I got myself in this relationship because I see you in my future. I see you being by my side as I grow and develop in this short life that we live in. I see you as my inspiration to do better; you’ve encouraged me to do things for myself, do to better. I fell in love with you because of the way you take care of me. I will love you and take care of you as much as I can. But if the feeling is not mutual then please, I just need you to do one thing; tell me you don’t love me.

Your relationship will be nothing without it. It is one of the few foundations that a relationship need in order to survive. Stop assuming that things are gonna happen if he’s not with you. Stop assuming that he will get with his friend just because they’re getting dinner. Stop assuming that he’s looking at other girls because he happened to glance at them. Because if you do, he will get tired of you. He will feel like he is on a leash until he is no longer capable of breathing. Just don’t complain when he decides to leave you.
