‘Cause at least Mondays are not pretending !

(keep in mind I'm a novice at smash bros, I mostly like to watch!)

I imagine Vi would naturally pick the biggest and meanest-looking character to play as (so; Bowser, Ridley, Incineroar, etc. There's no one like that in 64, so maybe Donkey Kong). When they're younger, she might go easier when playing against Powder and Ekko, though if they get too confident she'll start carrying them off-stage with DK. But the younger kids get good quickly and she struggles to keep up... In the end she would most enjoy fast brawler-type characters like Sheik, Captain Falcon, and Little Mac since her instinct is always to go in and attack rather than play safely.

Jinx would play as characters she recognizes and likes; which I imagine might be Sonic and the Pokémon. (Not Pikachu though, he's too popular.) But she loves playing mind games and being tricky, so she would most enjoy playing as Villager, Duck Hunt and Snake.

Ekko might get good at the game really quickly (I imagine he's the type to practice on his own…) and finds the best characters to play as (I picture Pikachu, Marth, Metaknight…). But he enjoys being really fast (and prefers playing as girl characters (my delusion)) so his favorites would be ZS Samus, Sheik, and Jigglypuff.

Somehow I imagine Jayce's only other experience with games being playing other fighting games with friends at the Arcade when he was younger. And maybe Caitlyn makes her tutor play games with her for a little bit after they're done studying... So he would like to play those crossover fighters (especially Terry). He might get bullied a lot at first (who would go easy on him?) but if he kept playing I think he would get really good.

Caitlyn has a tendency to take video games really seriously (mortified by childhood memories of being not fun at birthday parties. She still gets upset when people play as annoying characters.) and I don't know what kind of characters she would find immediately appealing or recognize. But I imagine she enjoys both executing difficult combos and playing mind games. Maybe she would like characters such as Rosalina, Ice Climbers, and Zelda.

Like Jinx, I think Mel likes to be a bit of a trickster, and she really enjoys reading her opponent. It feels really good to bait a character into a hit with characters like Ganondorf or Sephiroth. However, maybe she goes as far as to adapt and pick whatever character is good against the person she's fighting. It's a hard for me to imagine Mel spends that much time playing video games, but maybe she surprises people...
