Couldn't be more happier with the way our workshop: Effects of Gang Violence turned out. Our goal to open up a conversation regarding this issue, and bring in a different perspective of gangs in low income communities was definitely a success. Huge props to my amazing co-planners, Jessica and Francisco, our advisor, Jose, and of course our presenter, Willie Stokes. Willie is the Executive Director and Founder of the Black Sheep Redemption Program, a non-profit organization that reaches out to young people who are struggling with addiction, gang involvement, and academic failure. #practicalactivism #togetherwecan
