He/Him pronouns, they/them is fine but not totally preferred
I’m aromantic, bi, and trans
Despite me being aro I am pretty big on ships and writing about relationships. I’m more keen on loyalty, devotion, attraction mixed with guilt and frustration, etc. because feelings are weird!
Things I like right now: gachiakuta, witch hat atelier, yakuza and judgment (fuck the studio though), bayonetta, ace attorney, more that I can’t think of rn
This is mainly an art and oc account for when I want to talk abt my ocs and can’t on instagram.
I do have adhd so the brainworms run on a divorced-parent custody situation, kinda rotates every couple weeks
I will make all of my favorite characters queer and transgender, you cannot stop me on that
I love writing and I have tons of unfinished stories that I think of often. I love mythology, folklore, and culture so I incorporate that into my original writing as well.
You can talk to me if you want, can’t guarantee I’ll answer but I’ll try!

I fully believe that if you gender swapped Majima, nothing would change about his clothing. No bra, no sarashi, nothing. Like, she’d accidentally flash you during a fight, jumping all around, and she would refuse to do anything about it.
Yeah I didn’t have the time to watch phm until my birthday lol. Good movie though!
Have some OC lore too bc I like talking about them.
Oc lore dump below, mention of animal death (very briefly, non-violent)
And Fiachra rounds out the main 3 of the cast w Sweeney and Kurosawa. I should really draw him more. Oh yeah and their story is called Re-Dead Detective.
I think more people should draw Yagami w his wrinkles. Also pls ignore my terrible handwriting, I thought using text would look too weird.
Snaggleteeth/Yaebas in Japan are often seen as cute, so I like to hc more macho male Japanese characters as having them bc I like that kind of juxtaposition between ultra masculinity with a feminine charm.
Shipping as character analysis and character exploration is something I wanna see more of in fandom. Like it’s totally cool if you just wanna see your blorbos kiss, but this is a good exercise to engage in, especially if you’re interested in writing.
Also I’ve noticed a lotta loveless/romance-averse aros feeling alienated in fandom spaces and I’m of the firm belief that a space without aromantic and ace voices is like being in an all-white room with no furniture or sunlight actually.

My first toxic yuri-esque thing omg. I don’t think they’re canon, I have another girl in mind for Sweeney, but we’ll see el oh el
Blood warning for the version below + lore
God this took way too long lmao.
Linh Chung, Sweeney’s classmate from high school, and a very dead young lady, passing away shortly after the two were reunited. She wasn’t holding up well, Rosalind gave her her number, but when she needed her most…you can guess how that played out. Not for lack of trying, mind, but neither of them took it too well.
Back in school, Linh was discouraged from calling them friends with Rosalind being a social outcast, but Rossy secretly clung to her affection till her knuckles turned white. Now, investigating her death, she tries to pretend they were always complete strangers to avoid getting emotions involved with the case, even denying knowing her before they met the week before her murder.
Rossy occasionally sees traces of Linh throughout the story, as she was the first of the mass murders of non-magical and sympathetic magical civilians (I.e. magical people who think that there is a systemic inequality that needs a drastic change.) how long until these specters of a girl Sweeney failed to save become too real for comfort?
Linh Chung at her time of death was 25, same as Rossy was (she’s 29 now)
She/Her
Human, Cryomancer (ice magic!)
Vietnamese-American, Californian accent
5’4
Cis woman, pansexual
Her dad’s a cop and knows how to clean a crime scene. Just something to remember for no reason in particular. Wonder where he went.
I’d love to replay the judgment games again but at the same time I hate the stealth mini game in 2 more than most things in life. Which is a surprising feat, considering how spiteful of a person I can be.
I think the ship between these two is really funny, and I absolutely love Higashi so it works out
Messing around w Clip Studio Paint. First time using a drawing tablet.
Shigure Kurosawa, Sweeney’s partner and one of her closest friends. My arospec allo guy who I care for deeply. He’s laidback and good with people, leading him to get along with almost anyone he meets. While he doesn’t possess any magical abilities of his own, he makes up for it with his tenacity and quick thinking. Sweeney loves the guy, but she can’t help but kinda hate him for how easily he navigates social cues, something that she struggles with.
What’s a friendship without a little bit of resentment?
Aroallo guy talks about aromantic headcanons and how he engages with romance in fiction (becomes writing advice and emotional about queer rep towards the end)
This is kinda aimless tbh but I’m just shouting into the void. Happy pride month 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ This is gonna talk about sexuality, amatonormativity, dysphoria, and all that stuff, so if you’re not comfortable w that, feel free to scroll past, it’s no trouble at all.
I love aroallo headcanons but I can always tell when the user is not aroallo bc the very rare hc that lists a character that is aro and not ace will usually be the pervy or fuckboy character. And there are people like that irl, but when you dumb down an identity to just a vague idea of what you think an entire community of people is like, they can tell and it really reveals the way you think about their community, even if you think it’s not that deep.
And when a character is conventionally attractive and aro, ace, or both, all of a sudden allo fans are like…scholars on the ace/arospectrum, saying aros can date and aces can have sex. I’m not saying this isn’t true, it totally is, but they mean it in a strictly amatonormative perspective where an aromantic person in a romantic relationship experiences the same exact things an alloromantic person would, when this is just…not true.
But when an aromantic person is in a relationship or a sex-positive ace exists in real life, suddenly they’re faking or confused. It gets to the point where it feels like people see the ace and aro spectrum being represented in media is somehow counterintuitive to fandom culture.
I like romance and shipping, but usually not when it’s the main focus of the story. I like build-up and tension and picking up on subtle cues of attraction, because talking to other people about symbolism, cultural iconography/symbols in non-western media, and implied feelings is very fun imo. Frankly, I don’t trust most of my preferred media to do my ships justice if they ever became canon. That kind of dynamic is a majority of the characters I myself have.
I think a big problem most romance shows have is that they make character dynamics, not characters, and there is 100% a difference. I’m not saying it’s bad to have cliches in your story, so long as these cliches aren’t your entire story. Switch it up! Add some spice! It’s fun to write complexity and it’s fun to experience it as an audience member as well. Like I’d love to see masculine women maintain their masculinity in m/f relationships because masculinity is always seen as a phase in women and something to be judged for, or it’s always indicative of her being sapphic of some kind, which places humans into arbitrary boxes based on expression.
I’d love to see trans men portrayed as sexy in the way cis men are, because you’ll usually get “cute,” “soft,” or something and rarely “hot” or “sexy” the way people view cis men. I want to see trans people viewed as attractive for themselves and not this weird fetishizing language I see in fics with trans characters. I want trans people to have complicated relationships with sexual dynamics, bc a lot of authors, as a trans guy, have this odd expectation for trans people to be totally cool with using the lower parts they were born with. I wanna shout out the touch me nots, the trans people who thought they were/are asexual due to dysphoria, trans characters with actual bodily changes from going on hrt (when I see a transmasc character with bottom growth or bottom surgery an angel gains its wings). I want to see trans women in media in general, as actual human beings and not fucking caricatures or background characters for brownie points. I want trans men, trans women, and non-binary characters as actual characters that push the story along, where we’re not defined by trauma. Where we’re allowed to be a little boring and not constantly abused by the narrative, especially with transfem and trans women characters.
The world needs happy and hopeful queer people and stories.
hey. you have to love your trans brothers of color okay. and your trans sisters of color. and your nonbinary siblings of color. you have to okay. its simply non-optional

Trans Man Dysphoria Vent (can also apply to other transmascs it’s totally cool if you relate! Let’s bond over the Horrors):
I hate being pre-T, I’m either constantly called a woman, a high schooler, or both. The very rare times I’m gendered correctly are so few and far between that I’m going insane. I’ve met trans mascs and men at my school who are younger than me and on T and I’m happy for them! I’m also insanely jealous bc I have no idea how to proceed with getting prescribed after telling my psychiatrist about my dysphoria bc he does not bring it up any further in our sessions and I don’t know if he knows either.
I love drawing middle aged trans people. I yearn for the day wrinkles appear on my face as my hair turns gray. Because then, I’ll know I made it. I want that for all of us.
i think there should be more aromantic ship dynamics instead of just the pendulum swing of "aromantic people can have completely 'normal' (amatonormative socially acceptable) relationships" or "aromantic people never date ever". like get a little funky with it i beg
I might as well put basic info about Sweeney until I can get my iPad situation sorted out. (Possible content warning for homophobia/lesbiphobia and death bc it’s a mystery story)
Name: Rosalind Sweeney
Age: 29
Height: 5’6 / ~ 168 cm
Cis Woman, Bisexual, Masc-presenting
Genealogy: Irish+Scottish, she was born in Salthill, Galway, Ireland and moved to the states with her parents when she was a toddler
New York accent
An electromancer and a homicide detective working in the fictional town of Valley’s Flood. She leans heavily into her masculine interests to be seen in a more favorable light by the men around her and less like a sexual object. However, some men see her masculinity as a threat and try to pursue her romantically, under the assumption that she is a full-on lesbian, which she is not. As a result, the only man she trusts in the department is her partner, both of them seeing each other in a more familial light.
The town has been experiencing more and more murders of non-magical civilians, though they seem to have nothing much else in common. When the police have nothing useful for Rosalind to go on, she makes the decision to find aid in the exact opposite direction: the criminal underworld.
