“you sure you aren’t a philosopher?”
honestly, catherine did admired kyle. a lot. there weren’t          many people like her left anymore. kind & selfless. she          couldn’t honestly say she had those qualities. she tried          to be as kind & nice as possible & she succeeded to a          certain level, but not to the blonde’s level. was she          jealous? absolutely not. there might have been a time          where she was envious of kyle, but that was when she         still had feelings for grayson. catherine still remembered         the day she had surprised the two in the alleyway. yet           somehow, they weren’t going out. kyle was obviously         in denial & if she tried to set her & grayson up again, she        might hit something. those awkward meetings were the worst.
at kyle’s question, she considered her answer. catherine hasn’t            told anyone of the hunters, nor did she had any intention to.            hudson was the only one who knew & she intended to keep it                    that way.
“surprisingly well. for whatever reasons my maniac sociopath serial killer               husband has bee ignoring me since christmas. i’ve been enjoying                      the silence, but i’m sure he’ll come back twice as crude.                  how about yours? any boyfriend in the skyline?”
she wasn’t subtle at a l l. not that she really cared. she wanted some answers.              two could play the little matchmaker game. & now, it was her turn.
Most of the conversations Kyle maintained with people often fell on the surface level. It wasn’t necessarily because she wasn’t willing to talk about more serious topics but her personality was far more conducive to simply talking about silly and unimportant things. She could take any topic and run with it as long as she had the right partner and those who didn’t like making conversation were like a personal challenge to the woman. Grayson of course had fallen into that category because she enjoyed forcing him to talk whether it was because her ridiculousness annoyed him to no end that he was forced to bring in his overly rational perspective or because she triggered his competitive side. But most people weren’t like him and she didn’t have to struggle to hold a discussion with them. “I could totally become one. I think, therefore I can? That’s how it goes right?” The woman joked with the brunette before her.
There was no doubt in her mind that Hudson Aldwin was bad news in all ways. From the second she met him she realized that very thing and while she may have not been great with reading people, certain slime balls were too obvious to miss. And on top of that, the fact that he had made  it his personal goal to ruin Catherine’s life and constantly stood as a barrier between her and Grayson only infuriated the blonde further. She could not imagine any world in which a marriage between Catherine and that monster was consensual and so all she could assume was that he had forged those papers or something along those lines. But maybe it was better to just make it official that they were divorced in case he tried something else. The brunette before her deserved so much better and of course there was pretty much only one person out there for her. Grayson and Catherine were like Ross and Rachel. “I’ll pray for you that he doesn’t bother you for the rest of the time you have to stay together. How long is that by the way?” As the other threw a question as her, Kyle laughed. “My love life is deader than a vampire. I got a drink with this guy at work the other day, but that isn’t going anywhere. But since we’re on the topic, why don’t you tell me what you and Mr.Grinche were talking about so seriously yesterday. It looked intense.”
