Regarding the answers I got I decided to share my personal art prompt list for goretober for the spookiest month of them all, October (who said that posting this a month too early would be too earlyā)! Mostly because the results of digging of prompt lists were either something I had done already and/or something I wasnāt too fond to drawing.

july ā19 vs september ā19Ā
so hereās a tiny tutorial about light reflections (iām no expert though!!)
the drawing made in july is lacking on light reflections
the one done in september looks much better since i paid attention to them
Also remember that the intensity of the lighting depends on the material on which it is reflected, eg. glass / metal / fabrics etc. Glossy surfaces reflect the lighting more than matte surfaces
another example:
I saw some cool Inktober Lists going around but I didnāt see any mermaid themed ones so I had to fix that!

Made this for a friend who needed some help with fire animation, figured it might be useful to someone else
this is how I approach any fire animation I do timing-wise and design wise. if I am doing something more cartoony I will use shapes that are suited to more flowing smooth transitions and a nice graphic look, if I am animating more realistically I will use more chaotic timing and a design that works better with the slight motion blur I always apply to realistic fire. real fire doent flow nice and smooth like water or smoke when viewed at real-time
I almost always animate fire on 1ā²s, though the cartoony fire can work on 2ā²s, you just have to be more careful of pops.
you can also animate more realistic fire with a slower timing, you wouldnāt want the above fire in the background of a calm scene. this is just an example using an extreme case.
Hope this helps someone who is struggling to rough animate fire that fits their specific style and scene timing.

My very favorite trope though
When characters A and B are facing some danger and character A puts out an arm to protect character B
Good variations:
-Character B doesnāt realize the danger until character A puts out his or her arm -Character A isnāt the larger or stronger character but still takes responsibility for character Bās safety -Character A doesnāt stand a chance against the danger -Character A continues talking like there isnāt anything wrong while standing between character B and the threat -Character A doesnāt get along with character B and/or vice versa -The danger is comically minor -Character A has seemed helpless or bumbling but is now revealing inner depths and hidden strength
other good variations:
-character B is injured
-character A is injured but trying to be protective anyway
-character B gets annoyed when they realize what character A is doing
