I love to paint, period. But when the photo (or the person) speaks to me and make me connect emotionally with the visual aspect, it makes it that much better! Here’s a -not so brief- insight into my whys and becauses: I’d like to start by thanking @charcoli.y for allowing me to use one of his photos as a reference 🎈 and much like Charles’ original caption to this post, I’m also in the process of re-evaluation of my art and what I want to express with it When I think of art in general, I like to imagine the story (or history) of it. I also like to study the technique, but that’s because I’m an art nerd 😂 In my art specifically, I’d like to combine the painterly style, the visual brushstrokes and also bring the nostalgia of colours and moments captured in film. Maybe it’s a romanticised personal point of view, but to me analog photographs encapsulate feelings like no other. The important thing is that I’m having a lot of fun rediscovering myself and my goals, it’s an never ending loop between old and new haha 🎞 @charcoli.y 🎨 @bleapkin https://www.instagram.com/p/CbaFgt8OnoU/?utm_medium=tumblr
