All you have to do to prove that you don't actually want peace is make a list of people who don't deserve it. If there's one item on that list, then what you want is conditional, and peace is not. What humans want isn't peace but supremacy.

None of your individual constituents is alive on its own. If the things that constitute you should come to constitute a rock, that rock would retain none of your life. "Life" is shorthand for a subset of processes that we've arbitrarily decided matter. Everything is made of processes. You needn't zoom out very far to find a perspective from which it doesn't matter what's alive.

Most people are wisps blinking in and out of a wasteland on the outskirts of substantive experience. Any demand on their attention seems egregious to them because they're accustomed to a world without much to notice.

Moral philosophy is a way to talk about how people could behave, but philosophy doesn't inform human nature. No matter what they believe, humans will do whatever humans tend to do. And what they tend to do is kill each other.

One day, the sun will expel its outer layers. The gas will expand outward at about 45,000 mph, producing a planetary nebula and kicking off the quadrillion-year process of the solar system's disintegration. When that happens, you will have been dead for 5 billion years.
