The already stressful life of emergency room doctor Tin (Tae) is turned upside down when he finds himself in a time loop, in which he permanently has to save the arrogant university student Tol (Tee), who dies every time anyway. At first, frustrated, Tin lives through the same day again and again until he begins to take notes and to cleverly navigate through the repeating events. And he begins to get to know Tol better. Or even to like him?
In the beginning, I was very sceptical and, to be honest, not very impressed with the always repeating plot elements as well as Tol who simply came across as an arrogant snob. But that impression only lasted about two episodes. For the more the series continues, the better it becomes. But I don't want to spoil anything.
Tae and Tee, who had known each other since 2 Moons (meaning: since 2017) have a fantastic chemistry and act wonderfully. And contrary to Ming from "My Stand-In", you really believe Tol's change for the better, from a snob to a lovely young man.
I had a good time with this series and would highly recommend - if you decide to watch it - not to give up at episode 2 or 3. This is really not your typical time loop story. Besides "Last Twilight", this was my highlight of the year and by now, Triage is among some of the best BLs I have seen.
5/5 stars and an absolute recommendation!
Warning: The series has some crime elements, therefore I do not recommend it for minors.
Trivia:
- Triage is set in the same universe as Manner of Death, so Max and Tul have a cute, but really brief guest appearance ā„
- The book the series is based on is written by the same author as Manner of Death, Sammon.
