Another fantastic vegetarian meal at Natural Selection in northeast Portland. We ordered one of everything again. This meal overall may have been better (full menu attached). Standouts were both desserts and both third courses, but really there was no weak link at all.

people in portland are really friendly! i suggest meeting them while they make your lattes. and just about every weekend there are 3 queer parties (bent, mrs. blow pony, etc.) so i suggest you go to those. also there were about 5 dykes at the meat counter at New Seasons yesterday. i’d suggest hanging out there.

Coming out
Heeey, so we told our parents about Portland today. They were very supportive and practical. I've got to say, I wasn't too surprised. Mom moved to California with her older sister, so we're basically repeating family history here. To celebrate having chill parents who are totally down with their only offspring packing up and sloughing off to the opposite coast of the country, I'm going to post gifs and pictures of happy, smiling sunshine people until I get tired and fall asleep.
