I think my fave bit of lore from the olden days was Pearlcatchers having different pearl shapes depending on their personalities and if they were born PCs
and then imagine if we extended this to freshwater pearls too-
Interesting tidbit! I imagine that depending on where they were born in Sornieth, the color of the pearl would change too. Due to diet differences, nacre production, water mineral content, environment, and genetics like the molluscs of our real world counterparts. Pearls aren't uniformly white or ivory colored either.
(These two images are just a small fraction of the colors that those funky little molluscs can produce. And that's to say nothing of artificial support pearls/nacre for those PCs who don't have the gland to produce the nacre/don't produce enough nacre to catalogue their memories.)
SO a PC native to the Sea of a Thousand Currents would have a wide variety of brighter colors (because holy crap do pearl producing ocean bivalves have some interesting colors), whereas those born in more diluted fresh waters like in the Tangled Wood or Viridian Labyrinth would have more muted/pastel or white/ivory colors. Or they could just be a mix of both, because a bivalve from an ocean can still produce pastels (Pinctada fucata) and freshwater molluscs can produce more variations of color (Hyriopsis cumingii).
I'm not a marine biologist or pearl manufacturer. I just find aquatic life fascinating. (Also I kinda had a small hyperfixation on this for about a week straight a couple years ago due to my family eating oysters. Additionally I spent like 5 hours just now doing some more reading on it all. lmao)

Love the new crepe minigame. Started imagining what my own dragons would order. You think the NPCs sass off to you? Can you imagine what the average player's lair dragons would order, especially all the murderers, criminals, scammers, and demi-gods???
Anyway, I drew three of my own dragon's crepe orders. They'd be the worst customers ever.
Dragons: Tachyon, Unnamed, Mudpup. (Hit like if you would take their crepe order.)
The new minigame is very cute! (and we've been long overdue for a new fairgrounds game) but I think personally I would've been more pleased if it was a cooking mechanic that gave you food items to feed your dragons, rather than a cooking minigame that only pays out in treasure

a fun reminder that we’re closer to the point when kids born after the start of flight rising are allowed to join than we are to the actual start of flight rising
remember when people were trying to get dragons whose id matched their birthday? well, in about three years’ time we’re going to see the sequel that is ‘people trying to find dragons born on the same exact day as them’
so with the 13th anniversary coming up soon, here’s a fun reminder!
i posted about this in an anniversary speculation thread, but i was thinking it would be cool if they'd add farming to fr.
you get 4 plots, one for each food type.
you can pick certain foods to cultivate and every day you get a little bit, like low food point stuff you can get every day, and higher food point stuff you can get once every few days. it would be like nesting, where you have to check in every day to fill the meter.
and there could be exclusive livestock (including bugs and fish)/crops you buy to cultivate more that have a really high food point amount.
maybe you can even get them as familiars, or at least special versions of them.
i think that would be really neat! there's a ton of apparel that suggest that farming/gardening exists anyways, maybe dragons learned it from some beastclans and we could get another beastclan npc :}
also with this, you can get more items you might need for swipp, like you could grow pink mums and raise some magpies in your farm.
All of the elemental lair scenes for Flight Rising, together! This was a hell of a project, and you can really see where I learned as I went. There's a lot I'd go back and change if I could still but overall I'm super happy with these and so glad to get the opportunity

Garrus vs Marx
Garrus
Marx
@chaosnebula’s Garrus
@absolutely-zero-regrets’s Marx
Garrus is by your side for all 3 games. He's got reach and flexibility. He's the second best shot on the Citadel. There is no Shepard without Vakarian.
Everyone vote for the best alien husband!

new idea - bone bees. they're a mutated species of carpenter bees that have evolved to bore in to the plagueland's great abundance of scattered bones. what they actually feed on varies by location and species, and can be anything from landboil fluid to the blood of unwary passerby, and for those that produce any kind of "honey" it is often either toxic or produces other extreme and unwanted effects, but that is far from enough to stop the hardy people of the plaguelands from finding their own uses for it and making sure not to waste a single damn drop.
some species take a more actively parasitic role, and seek to roost within living bone and flesh....
