Personality

At first glance Blake may seem like a passive sort of guy. Given his quiet nature and laid back persona, the youngest Morehead has always preferred to sit back and enjoy the show rather than be the center of attention (unlike his big brother). Unfortunately for him, Blake has never really been able to “blend in” with the crowd…and it’s not just because he stands at an impressive 6ft 4.

People tend to gravitate towards Blake due to his optimistic attitude and ability to easily relate to others. He shows the same kindness to everyone he meets and is a firm believe that there is some good in everyone. He tends to be the voice of reason (especially within the family), therefore has the tendency to think before he acts. Blake is easily seen as the responsible one of the bunch but that doesn’t mean that the youngest Morehead doesn’t know how to let loose and have a good time. At the end of the day Blake is simply out to enjoy himself anyway he can. Taking much pride in his unique (and occasionally immature) sense of humor, Blake enjoys nothing more than being able to bring a smile to others faces. 

Charming, polite and loyal to fault, Blake can easily be considered your typical boy next door. But like anyone else, even a guy as sweet as Blake has his limits. While he believes in second chances, when it comes to his loved ones Blake is not the type to forgive and forget. Doing wrong to his loves ones is a guaranteed way to get on Blake’s bad side. While he doesn’t have the reputation of being a hot head like his brother, Blake does tend to get rather reckless when pushed far enough.

Biography

Born into one the oldest supernatural families in Oxford, Blake grew up fully aware of what his family was and the many secrets buried within the small town. The second son of Adam and Evelyn Morehead, Blake couldn’t have had a better childhood. Part of a loving family and strong pack, Blake spent most of his childhood running around with Dylan and their cousins, along with the Belfronts. When he wasn’t busy following and copying Dylan’s every move, the youngest Morehead devoted his time to sports and schooling, both which he excelled greatly at.

Even after he turned for the first time Blake continued to live a normal life. At least until tragedy struck the pack. At sixteen Blake’s entire world was turned upside down following the brutal murder of his mother. Although he was unsure of his uncles decision to get the pack using V, the sudden loss clouded Blake’s judgement and he, along with some younger members of the pack, secretly tried vampire blood for the first time. Blake was determined to do whatever was necessary to protect the rest of the pack and his family, and if vampire blood was the solution than so be it. Unfortunately, Dylan felt the opposite way. Within weeks of losing his mother Blake also lost his brother. Without much detail as to where he was going, Dylan packed his bags and left Oxford not too long after Jaden did.

To this day, Blake hasn’t fully forgiven Dylan for abandoning him at such a rough time. Thankfully, Andrea Mills managed to give Blake the swift kick in the ass and support he needed in order to get through the next couple of years. After graduating high school, Blake jumped at the chance to leave Oxford in attempt to finally move on from the past. He spent the next four years at a university in Iowa where he was finally able to accept the past. At least until he was reintroduced to an old friend that managed to bring back harsh memories: V.

Having befriended a small group of wolves during his time at college, Blake gave into temptation and after a single use found himself addicted to Vampire blood. Nearly a year passed before the werewolf finally lost control and became fully dependent on the substance. Not only did it affect his relationships, but ultimately drew him further away from his studies. It wasn’t until a friend of his intervened that Blake finally realized he had an serious problem with V. With some very much needed assistance, Blake went through detox. Ashamed of the way his life had once again taken an unexpected turn for the worst, Blake dropped out of school and returned to Oxford. In attempt to turn his life around for the better again, the youngest Morehead successfully completed the extensive training needed to become a firefighter. These days Blake is perfectly happy doing what he does: saving people. Although it’s been years since he’s touched V, the upcoming war has Blake on edge, especially given the amount of vampires currently walking around Oxford which he can’t seem to stay away from.
