It was cute how her immediate thought was the lack of gift she had brought for him. He was fairly certain that that was a first, and it instantly elicited a soft chuckle from him. “Now why would you have to give me a gift? You liking it, and more importantly your wearing it, is all the gift I need.” He smiled, as he went to take the necklace from the box. “Here, let me put it on you Blair bear.” His tone was soft as he moved to stand behind her. Delicately, his hands moved her hair from the back of her neck; careful not to disturb the curls he didn’t want to think about how long it must have taken to get them to hold. “Hmm..— you sure about that?” He questioned, as he clasped the necklace close letting it drape over her chest. He moved her hair back in place just as gently as he moved it out of the way before his palms game to rest on her arms, just below her shoulders. His head canting down so that his lips hovered just above her ear so he was certain she heard him. “I think it could be quite sexy. Just imagine the anticipation.” With his conclusion he stepped to her side, holding his arm out for her to take. “Just something to think about, m’lady.”
even for as much as she wanted the frown on her features to stay where it was, blair found it difficult to do anything other than smile when she was around giovanni. that didn't mean she still didn't feel bad for not thinking of getting him a gift in return. ❝ because i think you're just as worthy of a beautiful gift. as long as you let me treat you to dinner or something just as nice once we get out of here. i'd offer to buy you a turkey leg but i don't think it would hold the same sentiment as this necklace. ❞ blair replied softly. ❝ blair bear ?? ❞ she questioned with a chuckle, though lightly grabbing hold of her hair to make it easier for him to clasp the necklace and to keep from any stray strands from getting attached. been there done that; it hadn't been a pleasant experience. with his presence behind her and him out of sight, blair became hyperaware of the warmth of his body pressed so close to her back. her gaze, which had been originally dropped to glance down at the necklace she gently held between her fingers, soon averted over to one of her shoulders where his hands now were stationed. she knew was he was doing, unable to feeling anything other than a subtle rush of nerves and amusement from his suggestive comments. ❝ don't tease me then leave me hanging like that. guess we'll have to see for ourselves later if you play your cards right. though, i have a feeling you'll be thinking about it more than i will. ❞ blair teased, accepting his arm and turning to face him with a wink and coy smile. ❝ this necklace really is beautiful. i'm not surprised you have an eye for jewelry as well as great non-beatles related music. you're already winning me over and the day just began. what do you think we should do first ?? ❞
