Xander took in a slow breath, held it for a moment as Blaine spoke and then let it out again even slower, making sure not give the impression of impatience. With a little smile, he stood and crouched down to Blaine’s level, looking at the blanket and the ‘donut’ that he couldn’t quite see, “Hmmm,” he looked up into Blaine’s eyes and held out his hand, “Let me see the donut, please.” he said quietly as he thought about what might be best for the submissive, “Thank you for letting me know the kneeling is helping, Blaine, good boy,” he reached out and lightly brushed the backs of his fingers against the submissive’s cheek, “And thank you for trusting me…” Clearly a blanket and toy or whatever meant care was needed but it also seemed important to keep the other’s attention and focus to help stop the anxiety he was feeling over the breakup. Blaine handed the donut to Xander, admittedly cautiously, and kept his eyes locked on it the entire time. That was one of his favorite toys, and he wasn’t just going to give it to someone he was still learning about without keeping a close eye on it. “Thank you, Sir,” He murmured, leaning into the touch on his cheek just barely, because he needed some kind of contact with someone else. It helped him with grounding himself, and it helped him calm down just that much more. When Xander made that comment, the corners of his lips curled just slightly as he pulled his blanket closer. “I... yeah, maybe we do,” He murmured softly, pulling his lower lip between his teeth as he looked up to let out a soft laugh at the narrowing of Xander’s eyes. “I’ll try at least. I don’t... it... it’s hard. When I’m sad. But... I’ll try.”

LAZY F2F: BLAINE/XANDER

Watching Blaine closely, Xander could clearly see the emotional struggle he was going through. It was subtle but he felt a shift in everything when Blaine knelt in front of him. He gave a quick nod, “We don’t have to go into details about why, Blaine, but I do need to know what you need from me tonight.” his eyes dropped as he made a little gesture towards the items he was holding, “What did you bring with you and how can I help you? Is the kneeling helping?” he tacked on the last question just to double-check his intuition on things, not wanting to make a mistake. 

Blaine took a breath and focused on centering himself, nodding once as her watched the Dominant closely. A million thoughts were racing around his head, and he had absolutely no clue what to do with 99% of them. So, he looked down at what he brought and sniffled softly. “I um... brought my donut and I... brought my blanket, Sir,” He informed softly, biting the corner of his lip. “The kneeling is helping, Sir, yes. I don’t... know what I need. I just... need help. I’m not much assistance, I’m sorry, but... I consent to whatever you think might help me. I just... don’t know.”

Xander had been about to launch into some questions about what was going on when Blaine beat him to the punch and revealed his struggles with anxiety. Shutting the door quietly behind them, he nodded and placed a hand gently on the sub’s back to guide him to his room, “There’s nothing to be sorry about, Blaine, I’m really glad you reached out, anxiety’s a bit of a bitch, if you’ll pardon the french. Come on…” he led Blaine to his bedroom that was neat and tidy with his journals and books on his desk and bed made with military precision. “We do need to talk a little about what you need tonight, I don’t want to cross any lines,” he started quietly, giving the other a bit of space as he leaned against the desk, “What can you share with me and, if it helps, kneel in front of me while we sort all this out, ya?”

Blaine took a shaky breath as he let himself be guided down the hall, and once they were in Xander’s room, he looked around and tried to hold back the tears that welled up in his eyes. This was different. He should be in someone else’s room, but he couldn’t be. He should be reaching out to someone else for help, but he couldn’t. He could literally feel his heart just dropping into his stomach. When Xander spoke again, he looked up and took a breath, then nodded as he moved to kneel in front of the Dominant, looking up to maintain eye contact. “Yes, Sir,” He murmured out anxiously, doing his best to quiet his thoughts. “It’s... just a breakup. That’s all. I would... prefer not to go into too much more detail, please,” He breathed out, picking anxiously at the blanket for a moment as he blinked rapidly to hold back tears. Still, the kneeling was helping. He could feel his mind shifting from anxiety and hurt to a more submissive headspace very, very quickly.

Xander nibbled his bottom lip as he paced the room. He wasn’t entirely sure what was going on with Blaine but he wasn’t about to leave the guy hanging when he reached out to him directly. He had his suspicions about withdrawal but didn’t want to make assumptions about anything. As soon as he heard the knock, his nerves subsided and he stood up a little straighter as he moved to answer the door. Smiling gently, he gestured for Blaine to come in, “Good boy for being on time, Blaine, come in…” he took in the redness around the others eyes and his head tilted to the side, “If you’re comfortable with it, we can go to my room, that way we won’t be interrupted by my roomie when they get back?”

Blaine nodded and bit down on his lower lip as he stepped inside, gripping the items he had in hand as tightly as he could. He knew he didn’t want to talk about his issues. He couldn’t anyway. It didn’t feel right. But he needed someone tonight, and he and Xander had interacted in the past. On some level, he trusted him, which is why he chose to come here tonight. “Thank you, Sir,” He murmured out quietly, doing his best to control his breathing. “I... yeah, please,” He said, knowing he didn’t want more people seeing him like this than necessary. “I... I have anxiety. Bad, clinical anxiety. And... I didn’t know what else to do. I’m sorry,” He breathed out, squeezing his eyes closed for a moment before opening them to follow the man down towards his bedroom.
