"Obviously," Sirius agreed lazily. He was sprawled on his back on the carpet of James's bedroom, tossing a Galleon in the air and catching it.

"Do you think..." James hesitated, shifting on his mattress and hanging his upper body off the edge so he could look down at Sirius upside down. "Do you think if one of us had been a girl, we'd have ended up together?"

Sirius caught the coin and closed his fingers around it, letting his hand rest on his chest. He didn't hesitate. "Yeah."

"Yeah?"

"I'd definitely want to be the girl, though."

James snorted, grinning. "Why's that?"

Sirius stopped moving. He looked up, meeting James's upside-down gaze. He is so beautiful, James couldn't help but think.

"Because I wouldn't want you to be any different."

James's smile faltered. He searched Sirius's face for the grin that usually followed one of his ridiculous comments, but it never came. Instead, there was only that unwavering look in his grey eyes, so open and certain that James felt something inside him shift.

"Sirius," James managed to mumble.

Sirius pushed himself up off the floor and flopped onto the bed beside him, as if he hadn't just turned James's world upside down.

"Anyway," he said. "Move over."

Remus: He braided a daisy chain into your hair while you were asleep and cried over how beautiful it looked.

also it got me thinking a LOT! about them, because i realised that I've read so many fics and hcs that i can see them almost as anything, also i think some of your thoughts formed how i see them/match them in my head un general, but here we go.

to me, sirius has very rockstar boyfriend vibe. he's all leather, spikes, motorcycles, black eyeliner and nails polish, stage lights, smoke and all things like this. he has this cool air around him, and this is why he may look a little bit intimidating. i think, if i had to describe what people who do not know him may think of sirius, i would say that he is like a wild rose. like he is very beautiful, but you probably won't touch or you need to be very careful while doing so. i mean, ofc people who are close to him do not think about him this way.

i like to think about him in "i didn't even try but it turned out that i have the best result" way. he is pretty lazy in general, BUT if he is interested in something, damn you need a crowd to hold him back. this man will be doing it 25/8

also, i think he has this strong signature parfume smell around him. and this is not something flower-like, but something spicy, and maybe with a bit of citrus notes, and maybe something woody and something leather-like. you can get that he's there by this smell of parfume alone. he doesn't wear it always, but if the event deserves good impression of him he will lol

i love when he has this heavy atmosphere with him. like yes he has tattoos and he wears combat boots and leather jaket and band tees, but i also think that it is not everything he is. he enjoys comfortable clothes (and steals them from remus or james or peter), he would wear jewellery gifted to him no matter how much it matches his usual vibe (even if it is something that he wouldn't usually wear he treasures it a lot).

if i am talking about jewelry, i think he has a whole collection of it, and not everything is certainly very fancy, you know? i really love the hc of him wearing cheep rings, that kind that paint your fingers blue. i think he probably would make pins and maybe pendants himself (and it is probably something like an old key strung on a thread, maybe something more fashionable, but i hope you get the vision). he is like a crow at this point, if it is something shiny he would probably make something out of it and wear

remus to me is a Nerd, but not really in this english literature, seeaters and shirts and glasses abd libraries kind of way, if you get what i am talking about. he is constantly like a tired student on the exam week, and it doesn't even matter if he even studies something in the monent. he is like old books, postcards that get you weirdly emotional, stray cats and spilled coffee and calloused but still soft and gentle hands, postmarks, and a crumpled bedsheet that still smells of laundry detergent despite it was a week since washing day. (i feel like this is kinda weird way to describe but... like...)

he is pretty awkward in this "not-cute" way, he is probably stumbling over his own legs sometimes when really exhausted. he absolutely does have some bad habits like biting his nails and lips, scratching his had (and leaving nail marks because he got carried away) he absolutely forgets to drink enough water, sometimes to eat (i mean, i think both of them do it, but sirius when he has a hyperfixation on something, and for remus it is more like usual Tuesday

he is pretty hardworking to me and stubborn enough to spend hours on something he can't do on the first try. )

i think he is either kinda picky for textures that he is wearing on his skin OR he doesn't even care at all, he doesn't even acknowledge it at all and nothing in the middle. i think he is the type to wear (plaid) shirts over band tees

he treasures little things. a lot. it may be hard sometimes to get rid of something he knows he doesn't really need. he has a special notebook where he puts flowers and tickets and tissues from the cafe where he had been with sirius.

also i think he really keeps a diary. notes there vary from "shit. 21.04.76" to really detailed analysis of his own thoughts or full description of his day.

his humour is mostly sarcasm that you will miss if you don't know what he refers to, but if you know what he's talking about, damn this is the most funny joke you heard. it fits context so good and it sounding like a dry remark and not being served as a joke specifically makes it a hundred times better

dare i say that i think ge has crooked teeth and maybe an awkward smile? SIRIUS ADORES IT when he finally lets go all stuff and just smile and laugh openly 🤲

i really like the hc of trans or genderfluid sirius, BUT i think people miss on not hcing remus with a weird relationship with his gender and masculinity. i feel like there's a lot to think about, i think he would be a he/him agender or non-binary, but label is not really a point really

i feel like this is not really an important detail, but i still should say: to me, sirius has dark and a bit thick eyebrows and long black eyelashes. remus on the other hand has pretty light eyebrows, and lashes that can be seen fully only under certain light. sirius has grey eyes, and remus's are a very specific hazel+green+grey+brown color (i don't know how to describe it other way sorry) though i am not so picky about it lol

both of them may look a bit intimidating to people who don't know them 😭, i swear everyone either adores them or is a bit scared of them

they are both sleepyheads to me and better not to be communicated with a lot in the morning, but remus in a more "will be mute and grumpy and doesn't have any energy till [insert whatever morning ritual you think feets him the most]" and has this mood almost everyday and sirius in a more "i will kill you slowly and painfully if you will touch me or speak to me" way, but has this mood more rarely you know, only if he had a really bad sleep that night. but they still try wery hard to be gentle with eachother in this time of the day

their relationship includes a LOT of hands touching. i think hands are their literal love language. they're holding eachother's hand and caressing thumbs and they are messing eachother's hair and like a lot of this "casual" touching

they are a bit messy, but they fit each other so good. remus is more quiet to people he doesn't know and sirius is known as a pretty loud young man, but behind closed doors they are mostly other way around. remus can yap about his interests for a lot of time and sirius ADORES listening to him. tho i think they both love listening about each other interest, but probably sirius has more to show than talk about, but still

they are gentle in different ways. remus will cook something so sirius will not forget to eat in his especially strong hyperfixations (idk if i may call it that really) and sirius will probably more often do some big moves like buying flowers or something like that (remus dries petals and buds from them in a said notebook and sometimes uses them as bookmark). so remus is more about quiet ways of affection that may go almost unnoticed, and sirius ismire for grand gestures.

honestly I've read so many muggle!aus that i sometimes forget that they are wizards. but, i think their werewolf/animagi dynamic is very interesting too, besides they are both canines (if i can even say it ut this way).... i honestly think that the fact that sirius is a dog helped remus accept that he is a wolf, you know what i mean? i think this is something that gave them even more special bond over their friend group.

also i almost forgot to mention that i think, despite them being not very different from each other, remus is taller than sirius,but sirius is slightly broader than remus (it is more difficult for him to gain a lot of muscle, probably due to his height and other stuff) remus has really sharp elbows and is pretty bony, but actually has more soft body parts, and sirius looks more edgy with muscles he has but actually has very soft skin, if it somehow possible, like both of them are softer and sharper that they look in different ways, I'm struggling to define it any other way but i hope you get what i mean 🙏

i feel like that's not everything i think about them, but i tried 😭 this are thoughts that cane into my mind in this time. I feel like a lot of it was slightly exasperated, but anyways
