“….Yeah?” Oh, Lambda is absolutely kicking himself for drawing that out longer than he meant it. “I mean, I don’t really have any control over that so it’s kinda just like that. Like, all of the time.”

          “  𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧'𝗦...  ”  𝗡𝗢𝗦𝗘 𝗦𝗖𝗥𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗦 𝗦𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗟𝗬 𝗜𝗡  response.  not the weirdest augmentation he’s seen for a cyborg,  but he fails to see how it’s generally functional.

That’s a better reaction than most gave him; Raiden didn’t make a show of looking him up and down, before scoffing, at least. [ US Army, combat medic. ] Andesha rolls his eyes, a hand reaching up to gesture at the high collar of his shirt.

          the scar has faded some, but it’s easy to see where it curves up the side of his neck. [ Turns out they don’t have use for a medic who can’t talk. Go figure; spent a lot of years being told to shut up, and then… ] he shrugs, a wry smile pulling at his mouth.

          𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗥𝗞 𝗢𝗙 𝗔 𝗕𝗥𝗢𝗪.  𝗜𝗧'𝗦 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗪𝗘𝗥  surprises him,  nor the reaction — he's got his own grievances,  memory-logged it might be.  it takes a second for the scar to soak in;  lips seem to purse until he raises the question.  “  combat?  ”  with each fist crossing over at the wrist for signed emphasis,  there’s the novel return of a shrug. 

          “  𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗚𝗘𝗧 𝗧𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗗 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗜𝗡𝗚  the SAME fucking charade?  ”

          “  𝗢𝗞𝗔𝗬...  𝗬'𝗪𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗔 𝗚𝗢 𝗔𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗗 𝗔𝗡𝗗  run that by me again?  ”

He looked offended by the fact that his companion didn’t think   ,   him   ,   the great Crimson Thief   ,   who was wanted by several galactic governments   &&   has stolen billions in profits   ,   could not leave a trail of carnage in his wake   .   It wasn’t his fault if some of his own innards got mixed up in the tussle   ,   that was on his enemies for putting in too much effort   .   He furrowed his brow   &&   pursed his lips as he took in a huff of breathe preparing to defend his honor一一before exasperating   &&   dropping the thought all together   .   Maybe that was something he shouldn’t admit to in a proud manner   .

He adjusts his visor   &&   clears his throat hopefully able to add anything constructive to this discovery   ,   ❛   There ‘re a few things I can think of . None of ‘em ‘re pretty . But if we wanna find out , the trail goes that way ~   ❜   ,   he points down the darkened corridor   .   Having dealt with various alien species   ,   there are a number of culprits this could lead to   .   The only thing that worries JACK is whether or not what they find is sentient ( or finds them )   &&   what exactly motivated it   .   Weighing his options   ,   he gave an almost condescending smile up at RAIDEN as he turned his heels   &&   began heading in that direction   .   If he does end up getting chased by something or someone   ,   JACK’s not opposed of hiding behind ol’ Raidey-boy   !

          𝙏𝙃𝘼𝙏'𝙎 𝙉𝙊𝙏 𝙉𝙀𝙒𝙎 𝙏𝙊 𝙃𝙄𝙈.  𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗔 𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗙𝗙,  𝗛𝗘 𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗘-𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥  at the messy attempt of wall decor.  “  yeah…  ”  it's said absentmindedly,  and really,  raiden isn't paying attention at all to what jack's even saying.  the other half of him lost interest as soon as he opened his mouth.  he's still weighing a few options in his head,  yet a simple glance over has the cyborg's expression deepen into a scowl.  “  the hell’re you doing?  ”  it comes out a tad snippier than intended.  a few quick steps and he closes the gap enough to grab jack by the wrist,  effectively stopping him from going any further.  any other time this WOULDN’T be a problem,  but now he has to watch over someone much less impervious to injury than himself.

     “  don't be an idiot.  ”
