Got baited into trying Wuthering Waves by the Edgerunners crossover.
These fuckers somehow figured out how to make an anime and attach a gacha to it.

I'm down to put some hours into a mobile game if the writing is interesting.
I mean I dunno, it's not doing anything for me but that might be because I'm just annoyed with it for being baited in.
But so far the game is 90% walking from cutscene to cutscene with the occasional bout of combat jammed in to justify the gacha's existence.
The story seems kind of disjointed, one of those "Throw everything cool we can think of at the wall to see if anything sticks" sorts of things. Got some neat concepts and it does look nice but it's basically just another "Amnesiac wandering through a magitech civilization meeting the diverse character designs with some voice acting attached to them" type thing.
It's also laggy as shit.
They're okay with me. I'll never play gacha games just to blow money on ultra rare baddies, but I can give cutscenes a pass for anime.
