                          WATCH   as the   PIRATE QUEEN’S   facial expression   shifts   from   DETERMINED   to   borderline   OUTRAGED  …   Jaw drops  ,  forehead furrows     —    loud  ,   disagreeable  ??    She prefers to think of herself as   FUN   &&   charming  …     Unless  ,  it is a matter of   fiances  ,  then there is a certain   ruthlessness   that bursts forth whenever she suspects she’s being   cheated   or   when fighting to keep something that was   rightfully hers  …   Maybe her comrade has point. 

                          Expression shifts again  ,  softening   as she’s hit with the full force of that   smile   he wears  ,  the twinkle of   CONCERN   does not go   unnoticed.  There’s a   warm   &&   fuzzy   feeling that accompanies the realization that someone has her back     (    Zev has looked out for her plenty of times ,  it is nice to know that   some things   remain despite the passage of time    )     hands raise in defeat  ,  she will sink back into her seat with a carefully composed expression that clearly reads  ;;     happy now  ??          ‘    So you’re the   NEGOTIATOR   &&   I’m the   MUSCLE   ,   then  ??    ’          Question slips from lips that have twisted into a half-smile  ,  a singular eyebrow raised curiously.   She could handle that  …

                                                                      FOR BUT a moment, he needlessly worries that his plea, no matter how utterly beguiling, falls on the most stubborn of ears.  But they are pretty ears too    --    just as well-trained in survival as he has himself mastered    --    and on occasion listen to what keenness might lie below his surface pleasing mien.  He will not show any sort of triumph  ;  that is only an invitation into a greater frustration.    (  Zevran would enjoy this, just as much as he would    --    again!    --    fear for the worst turn.  )    So in such a pacifist manner, he leans to this round oak buffet that divides them now    --    though a peacemaker should not wear such a sly smile as he indulges.
