Cellphone video of transgender woman Pearl Love being physically and verbally assaulted on New York Cityâs No. 4 train was posted to Facebook on Monday. Pearl was on her way to New York Cityâs LGBT Community Center when the female passenger began to berate her. In addition to the above, she has two other videos showing the woman chasing her around the subway car. Why Pearl isnât planning on filing a police report at this time.
âTrans women in public minding their own business arenât appropriate for my child but what is appropriate is me abusing a complete stranger.â
i swear to god if youâre on public transportation when stuff like this happens and you do nothing, you are part of the problemÂ
"MEN SHOULD BE ABLE TO HIT WIMEN WAH WAH WAHHHH" that's you. That's how you sound. Men and women don't have the same bodies, men are ok if they are hit but WOMEN ARENT: men are naturally violent; if you just had a country of al women guess how much violence there'd be? ;3
Actually, even though I donât support violence, I support self defense regardless of gender.Â
âmen and women donât have the same bodiesâÂ
âmen r ok if they get hit but women arenâtâ
Just for a specific example of a man:
This is a picture of a man who was hit by a woman. Sucker punched actually. He doesnât look fine to me.Â
There are plenty of women who straight up RAPE men. KILL men. And here you are making excuses for women to be abusive.Â
âMen are naturally violentâÂ
Most men have not been in a violent altercation by their own choice. Men are far more likely to be a victim of violent crime so of course they have gotten into more violent altercations than women. Once again, its called self defense.Â
That being said women get into violent altercations all the time. Mainly with other women but they are attacking men more and more frequently due to excuses like yours. Â
There are men who run from even verbal altercations.
A world full of women would eventually die off because there would be no way to reproduce and things would most likely be just as violent.Â
Go fuck yourself.Â
>Â if you just had a country of al women guess how much violence thereâd be? ;3
Between partners? Twice as much, actually, given that 26% of gay relationships face some form of  Inter-Partner violence while 43.8% of lesbian relationships face IPV.Â
Women are also pretty abusive to strangers, coming in at around the same percentage as men, sometimes worse
And abusive to male partners, too
So, you know.Â

A religious retreat in Virginiaâs Shenandoah Valley purchased land, not knowing it contained a slave cemetery. It has now restored it and recently held a solemn dedication ceremony.
They sang all six verses of âAmazing Grace,â the hundred or so neighbors and visitors who had gathered under gray skies to honor 24 men and women and one child who had died before the end of the Civil War. In life they had all been slaves whose final resting place was a patch of cleared earth about a mile from the masterâs house in the small community of Quicksburg in the northern part of Virginiaâs Shenandoah Valley.
That cemetery was long ago abandoned and had disappeared beneath brush, vines and spreading woods. A century or more may have passed since anyone last visited it. Those buried there seemed to be as forgotten as the place.
âA lost community was found here,â was how Sarah Kohrs, director of the newly named Corhaven Graveyard, explained it at the solemn dedication ceremony April 30. More than a year of hard work by several teams of volunteers had returned the burial ground to cleared land. âA cemetery is sometimes the only record left,â she said.
The lost graveyard was found when the nonprofit Coracle wanted to expand its property to include a stretch of nearby Holman Creek. The plan was to create longer walking trails through the woods and along the creek for those who come to Corhaven, as the retreat farm is known, seeking solace or sanctuary, alone or in groups. A 10-acre slice of a former 600-acre, 18th century plantation named Edge Hill was purchased several years ago.
It wasnât until after the deed was signed that the Rev. Bill Haley, the facilityâs executive director, and his wife, Tara, who live with their children at Corhaven, began to hear rumors that the new property contained a cemetery. Eventually, a search was launched and an area containing field stone markers and depressions in the earth was found. County records identified it as âSam Mooreâs slave cemetery.â Samuel Moore, a slave owner, bought Edge Hill in 1846.
The graveyard, one of only three known slave cemeteries in Shenandoah County, is now a part of what Corhaven has to offer. It is a quiet but welcoming place, down the hill and out of sight of the Haleyâs home. Â A simple three-rail wood fence encloses the entrance, a walkway defined by rough mulch, and the burial ground. Â Plain wood benches are provided in the graveyard, where paths skirt the few markers that have survived as well as the graves laid out in several rows. A brass plaque identifies the graveyard and reads: âThe names of the unknown souls buried here were not recorded. Yet we know the names of some of the enslaved persons who once labored long on this plantation. Some may lie here. We recognize their dignity. We honor their memory.â
More.

Goddamn the Religions of Abraham â How the Ritualistic Baptism in 3D Technology has Already Saved History
ISIS did its best to destroy everything around the Temple of Bel, but the angels of our better judgment overruled the followers of an Abrahamic religion and saved a piece to our collective past inside the binary equivalent of protective custody. The Arch of Triumph, near Bel, though it did not lâŚ

The Spun Glass Moth Caterpillar
This caterpillar belongs to the slug moth family, known for its collection of spiked, hairy and toxic caterpillars. The family is so named because the caterpillars truly resemble slugs, in their plump, flattened shapes as well as the way they move, atop a liquefied silk secretion. At barely a half an inch long, the spun glass caterpillar is a rare sight, though it lives throughout the United States, mainly feeding on the leaves of swamp oaks. (Source)

I am driving to work a few months ago and getting close, I have two turns remaining until I turn into the building. It is just a few blocks away. All side streets, no highways involved. This guy behind me is in a black bmw, and he is on my ass the whole time. I see him checking his phone, then making angry faces at me and getting closer and closer. I speed up a bit, thinking it might calm him down. 5 over, nope. Anyway, I make the first turn, and am now on the street where my building is, maybe 600 yards up ahead. The asshole is still behind me, driving inches from behind me and obviously pissed that I am still going the speed limit, (maybe 35 on this street). So I speed up a bit and see he does the same.
I drive an eight year old Toyota truck, not one of the big huge ones, but not one of the small ones. I do have all terrain tires, and I have certainly driven through pastures, over rocks, popped a curb or 10 in my time. My suspension is in good shape and have no problem treating my decade old truck like a truck.
Well as I get closer to my building there is a large speed bump in the street, effectively to get people to slow down as they approach the parking garage entrances. I look back and see asshole still riding my bumper. I remember thinking to myself I need to slow down for this speed bump, and looking back and thinking, if I hit my brakes, this guy is going to hit me.. The plan takes shape in my mind and I speed up..
I am doing about 45 when I hit that speed bump, and yeehaw.. I did a bit of a jump and land, never once touching my brakes. Didnât even tap them. I gave him zero warning for what was about to happen.
I am watching my rear-view window intensely during this because I wanted to see his reaction. He was cradling his cell phone between his ear and shoulder when he hit. His hood bucked up behind me, then slams to the ground. I see him go flying out of his seat straight up. He slams his head on the roof of his bmw and his head rolls sideways from impact. Then he slams back into his seat violently. He has a total âwtf was thatâ look on his face as he grabs the wheel with both hands to recover.
⌠and yes, he slowed right the fuck down after that.
every medicine on the market is like
pros: youâll stop coughing
cons: you might die
my favorite side effect warning is for antidepressants
pros: you wonât want to kill yourself
cons: you might want to kill yourself
Back when I was in a psychiatric hospital, and was offered antidepressants, my mother had declined them due to that apparent side effect. So the staff actually explained about this effect antidepressants have, that give reason to that warning. When first taking antidepressants they raise up your energy first. So that you have the energy to do the tasks you might have avoided doing due to your depression. Because of this those who were already suicidal, now have the energy to go do so. Which is the ones this warning is given for. Itâs not that a side effect of antidepressants magically makes you want to kill yourself, itâs the energy it gives those who were already struggling with suicidal issues, to actually attempt the act.
Very informativeâŚ
Wow. Iâm so glad you explained that. Now I understand
My high school choir/psych teacher actually told is about this. She also said if you have a suicidal friend who starts seeming like they might be getting better because they have more energy, thatâs the time to be cautious because thatâs when they may still be suicidal but theyâll actually have the energy to go through with it
