(For Jessie (wheasleys). This is the first time I’ve ever really written from Sirius’ perspective, so apologies for some rough patches, but I hope you like it!) (from findtheconstant)
It had taken some time before Sirius could finally catch a moment alone. Given that he hadn’t set foot in his flat – their flat – in the month that had passed, he instead floated untethered between the sofas of his best mates. One month, and he was still a mess; one month, and he still felt the brunt force of her loss every time he caught a glimpse of brown hair that looked like hers or a whiff of the perfume that still clung to his unwashed clothes. When he was with James or Peter or Remus, he itched to be alone; when he was alone, he could hardly bear being without the distraction that their company granted. The effect of his own isolation was immediate as he slipped out of James’ front door into the chill of dusk, but he resisted the urge to turn right back around. Instead, he disapparated quickly before he lost his nerve. Pavement whirled into grass below his feet, the sound of crickets and wind filling the silence of James’ front porch.
Toward the end, Marlene had grown more and more disconnected from reality. Nightmares were frequent occurrences; there were evenings when she would wake up in the middle of the night gripped with terror, and Sirius would have to spend nearly half an hour bringing her back to the present. Even then, the present wasn’t all too comforting. People were dying, their own days were numbered, and the uncertainty of when it would all come to an end was perhaps the worst part of it all. There were other times where the moments of disconnect were more subtle, and it was such an instance on that particular evening. Marlene had been staring blankly at the Prophet in front of her, the thick black print spelling out the names of the most recent murder, and Sirius had seen something terrifyingly distant flickering in her eyes for the briefest of moments.
It had taken only a few minutes for Sirius’ gentle hands to guide her out of the kitchen chair, into a jacket, and out into the slight chill of the summer dusk. They slipped onto his motorbike together. Sirius didn’t have destination in mind; the only motivation he had was the sudden desperate need to have a moment of normality. He couldn’t recall the last time he’d genuinely felt young, like he didn’t have a million responsibilities or worries weighing heavily on his shoulders.
They’d stopped somewhere in the Scottish countryside at sunset. Sirius could still vividly remember the way she’d looked when she tilted her head up to the sky, palms outstretched like she could touch the setting sun if she reached far enough. When she closed her eyes and took a deep breath, he’d remembered thinking that she hadn’t smiled like that in such a long time. “Come feel it with me,” she’d insisted, not specifying what exactly she meant, but Sirius was sure that he had felt it as he watched his girlfriend soak in the moment with everything she had.
The sun had set long ago, but that didn’t stop Sirius from dropping to his knees in the very spot she’d stood. He pressed his forehead to the dirt, as though he could feel her again by pressing as closely to something that had touched her as he could. He felt nothing but the hollow in his chest and the distant knowledge that he’d allowed her to slip so thoroughly out of his grasp.
“Come feel it with me,” she’d said, and it wasn’t until he was gasping for air that he became aware of his own sobs
Muggle teachers AU for lokilaufeysonofjotunhiem from take-me-not-my-otp c:
Marlene was meant to be marking the science papers in front of her, not staring avidly out of the window down onto the field where the trainee PE teacher was helping with the boys’ rugby training. She was also meant to be getting home because she was going out with friends but she’d wanted to finish the grading by four o‘clock and it was quarter to now and she’d completed one essay. Shit. Well it was only her first week and honestly she’d only just finished her teacher training – it wasn’t her fault she was distracted by the hottie covered in mud outside.
Her head was resting on her hand, her pen dangling uselessly in her other hand as she really hoped he didn’t look up and see her through the window.
Almost as soon as she thought that, he glanced up and Marlene tried desperately to look away, not without noticing the smirk he shot her when he realised she was watching him. He definitely couldn’t see her blush through the glass, could he?
Sirius was meant to be training the rugby team with the other PE teacher but for some reason he kept getting distracted by the new science teacher trying (and, he noticed, failing) to get on with work in the classroom next to the school field. Consequently, even the weakest of the players was managing to take him down and by God it was embarrassing.
“Hey, Sirius!” one yelled, “Can you even take a tackle? I thought you were in the county team!”
He rolled his eyes. “I am, Michael, Jesus, just don’t want to hurt you!”
“Is that a code for ‘I’m just checking out Miss McKinnon without Mr Thomas seeing’ another one said and Sirius was genuinely rethinking his decision to become a teacher.
“Oh sure, because you never check out the girls playing hockey, do you?” he retorted with a grin, picking himself up off the floor and getting ready for the next one in line to run at him.
This was why he was likable as a teacher, despite being pretty bad overall, because you could joke around with him without fear of getting a detention.
“You’re a teacher!” Max, the captain of the rugby team protested, “That’s weird!”
“Only because you imagine teachers to be old and boring people who spend their lives marking your rubbish essays and drinking cold tea,” Sirius laughed, easily taking the next tackle now he was actually focussing.
“Whatever. She’s good-looking though, I can’t blame you…”
“That’s very weird and definitely illegal if you tried anything,” Sirius pointed out, snorting as Mr. Thomas blew his whistle, signalling the end of the practise.
Max just waggled his eyebrows and pointed to Marlene in the classroom who was very steadfastly marking students’ work and then back to Sirius.
“Get inside you nutter,” he laughed, waving them off the field and heading back to the changing rooms to try and wash some of the mud off his face.
Eventually, after promising herself she’d finish checking over the essays at home, Marlene packed up her things, tucked her hair behind her ears and slung her bag over her shoulder before exiting the empty classroom into the corridor, filled with the cheesy displays of students’ work and the yells from the boys’ changing room.
In fact, she managed to walk straight into Sirius, who was going past on his way to collect his own things and head home.
“Woah, sorry,” he said, stepping backwards quickly and smiling at her, still trying to wipe mud off his face.
“No, no, that was completely my fault,” Marlene laughed, flushing slightly and fiddling with her bag strap.
Neither of them noticed the boys poking their heads around the door of the changing room, knocking grins on their faces.
“Nah, I’m just tired so I apologise for walking right into you,” Sirius said, rubbing the back of his neck and pushing his long hair out of his face.
For a moment Marlene wondered what it would be like to run her hands through it before she gulped hastily and pushed all thoughts of him in varying states of indecency and undress out of her mind.
Suddenly her top button was uncomfortably close to her neck and she pulled it away before replying. “You’re good at rugby,” she said, knowing pretending she hadn’t been watching would be very obvious.
Sirius grinned. “I’ve been playing for a long time – I’m on the county team, actually.”
“Really? That explains a lot. How come you’re teaching here then?” The school wasn’t exactly known for its sporting achievements, as far as she knew.
He shrugged slightly. “I just fancied it. I’ve been here about half a year now – the team won the local tournament for the first time last year!”
“Nice,” she laughed, “Congratulations on that.”
Sirius couldn’t help but eye her up subtly, noticing the fact that she didn’t look too dishevelled for someone who had been attempting to teach a wild class of reluctant science pupils all day.
She saw him looking and blushed again, ducked her head and licking her lips. “Well, I’ll see you around tomorrow?” she said with a little smile.
“Course,” Sirius said happily, turning around when he head a noise form behind.
All the boys ducked back inside the changing rooms quickly but not quite quickly enough.
She raised an eyebrow, reshuffling her books and papers in her hands. “What were they doing?”
“Either checking you out or trying to watch us kiss,” Sirius smirked.
Marlene laughed. “Well they were very subtle about that, I must admit. Bye, Sirius,” she said, turning to go.
“See you,” Sirius replied, grinning from ear to ear.
(The whole rugby team from that year was present when they got married a year and a half later, claiming – quite rightly – that they had called it from the beginning.)
A gasp, a moan and a mumbled “fuck” were the first things Sirius heard from her mouth when Marlene came.
Every time he closed his eyes he could see her hips moving against his, her mouth opening with bliss, her breast rising and falling quickly as she tried to catch her breath after he had made her see the stars. And in the nights he’d spend on his own, he’d crave her lips pressed softly against the sensitive skin of his neck, collarbone, chest; he’d miss her tiny, delicate hands running through his arms, putting his hands where she wanted him to touch her – she usually would silently beg to him touch her there and she would mumble desperately for him to be rough, to tease her merciless. He always did as she said, because Sirius would never be able to deny a thing to Marlene. Sirius Black, the bloke who had ripped hearts for a living, was subdued to her – and he didn’t regret it, he couldn’t regret it.
She was like a drug. Her skin was addicting, her moves were enslaving and,Merlin, he needed her. He needed to feel him deeply, entirely inside of her tight entry. He wanted to hear her murmuring his name between moans every night for the rest of his life and he would make it into his personal record and keep it on rotation. Sirius could hold her tight until she screamed for air to breathe, for him to go faster, deeper. Oh, he could, and he would if she asked him to.

I hope you like it, Mikaela! (for oldpeopleattack, from b-blackinnon)
Festive decoration was displayed everywhere and The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black was completely unrecognizable; the tarnished chandeliers were no longer hung with cobwebs but with garlands of holly and gold and silver streamers; magical snow glittered in heaps over the threadbare carpets; a great Christmas tree was decorated with live fairies and blocked Sirius’s family tree from view, and even the stuffed elf-heads on the hall wall wore Father Christmas hats and beards.
It was night time at Grimmauld Place, and every guest was properly settled down on one of the chairs that were displayed beside the long wooden table. Mrs. Weasley had prepared the most generous Christmas dinner that Sirius has seen since he had been locked up on that repugnant prison. He could not stop staring at his surroundings; the people, the food, the smell of ginger bread that reminded him so much of Mrs. Potter who loved to cook those. He caught Harry’s eyes for an instant and the boy smiled at him and, Merlin’s beard, he looked so much like James – Sirius could almost feel his old friend presence when he was by Harry’s side.
One person was missing, though. Remus had left late in the afternoon saying he had stuff to do and hadn’t come back since then; nobody seemed worried but Sirius and he thought that maybe he was overreacting – it would not be the first time since he had ran away.
Suddenly, the pleasant and calm environment that had been created by all of them was brutally interrupted by the horrible, splitting, blood-curdling scream of Sirius’ mum echoing against the house’s walls and silencing every single one of them.
“SCUM! FILTH! HOW DARE YOU TO BEFOUL THIS HOUSE…!” Walburga Black’s portrait started to say before someone silenced her with a spell and closed its curtains, stopping it up.
“She’s always been the sweetest mother-in-law, hasn’t she?” A female voice came to Sirius’ ears and, immediately, his heart started racing fast against his chest.
“Shush, he’s going to hear you.” Remus said shortly after.
A few footsteps’ sounds later, the pair appeared on the dinner room’s door. Remus was standing next to a tall, blonde woman with short hair and freckled cheeks. She had a smirk up on her pretty face and unhidden tears on her blue, dazzling eyes. Her arms were crossed in front of chest and her hands, closed in fists – she was trying her best not to run to his arms before he said something.
Unconsciously, Sirius had stood up with widened eyes and a chocked expression; his mouth was dry, his heart was beating insanely and his mind was as blank as a new parchment would be.
“Marlene.” He breathed.
“The one and only, sweetie.” She murmured with mischief in her tone and ran into his arms.
As soon as her arms wrapped around his neck and his hands found their way to her back, they felt like the world had stopped spinning; everything could be sum up by the two of them and there was nothing else but her floral perfume and his strong cologne; nothing but her soft, curly hair tickling his fingers and his slim, fit figure towering over her.
After what seemed to be hours – but still, it was not time enough – they broke apart and Sirius cupped his hands around Marlene’s face, his thumb washing off the tears that streamed down her flushed cheeks.
“What happened to you?” He muttered.
She shook her head. “It’s a long story.”
“I have plenty time to listen to it.” He said, smiling softly.
“You better introduce me to everyone else before that.” She stated, chuckling and letting go of him.
Her tiny hand grasped his as she turned to face the small crowd who watched the pair of them with confused expressions – expect for Molly, who washed tears off her face as she smiled at them, Arthur Weasley, Tonks and Remus, of course. Before she could open her mouth to speak, though, she noticed a black-haired boy who was sitting a few centimetres from her, and felt her knees losing their strength.
“Why are you staring at me like this?” Harry Potter asked her with furrowed eyebrows.
“You look like him. Like James.” She mumbled, almost hypnotized by the boy who assemble her long lost brother. “Holy crap”
“You knew him?” He inquired, suspiciously.
“Of course I knew him.” She grinned. “We grew up together, James was my closest brother.”
“But who are you?” A brunette girl with curled hair asked, abruptly.
“I’m Marlene McKinnon.”
“Black.” Sirius corrected her with a smirk. “We got married in case you’ve forgotten.”
“Of course I didn’t forget, Sirius.” She rolled her eyes. “I was just trying to think of a better way to tell Harry I’m his godmother, but you screw it up. Thank you, by the way.”
“You didn’t tell me I had a godmother.” Harry stated to Sirius, accusingly.
Sirius cleaned his throat. “I thought she was dead, Harry. I didn’t want you to feel like you’ve lost somebody else.”
“Sweet of you, but I feel quite offended as I’m not dead. Clearly.” She said.
Molly, who had been crying silently on her seat, holding Arthur’s hand tightly, spoke for the first time since she had entered the room. “What happened to you, Marlene, dear?”
“Oh, it’s an incredibly long story, full of misunderstandings.” She sighed and pulled a chair to sit, taking Sirius with her – never letting go of his hand. “In the night the Death Eaters came to my family’s house I already had a plan. Lily helped me to make it all up and I was ready to tell you, Sirius, about it when they attacked us. By the time they got there I wasn’t able to do anything I’ve had in mind and I just ran away. I apparated before they got to my bedroom, and I stayed each day in a different city for the following three months.”
“But why?” Sirius snapped. “Why didn’t you tell me earlier what you were–?”
“I was pregnant, Sirius.” She snapped back. “And I didn’t want to be like Lily, worried by her baby for every fucking second. I didn’t want to fight anymore and I acted selfishly like I always do. I wasn’t supposed to be on my own, you ought to be with me.”
“I wouldn’t have left James.” He mumbled.
“I know, but I couldn’t stay.” She whispered. “I’m sorry, but I simply couldn’t.”
“What happened to the baby?” Tonks asked surprising Marlene who hadn’t noticed before that moment.
“He’s at school in Paris right now, actually, and he isn’t a baby anymore unfortunately.” The corners of her mouth rose a bit. “He takes after you.” She told Sirius.
“I’m a father.” He stated and Marlene nodded. “What’s his name?”
“Gale.” She smirked. “And he’s coming tomorrow morning to meet you.”

[ For Emma (dumbledorescardigan) (from lokilaufeysonofjotunhiem), hope you enjoy it, dear! ]
When Lily informed Marlene that the next Girls’ Night they were going to an art studio, she didn’t expect the obnoxious French teacher, uncomfortable stools, and lack of objects they were to draw.
For Kat (mckinnon-the-great) (from oldpeopleattack)
The walk of shame back to the castle was grueling. James was white-faced and quiet, Caradoc was still wobbly from the bludger to the back of his head, Will and Nina seemed to be arguing over one goal or another, Heather’s trying not to cry, and Sirius and Marlene wandered aimlessly behind them all. The quidditch game had been brutal. It had been a 5 hour game against Slytherin, the final for the cup, and they’d lost it.
“There’s always next year,” James said shakily.
“Come on, Potter. Just let us have a minuet before you start coaching us again,” complained Caradoc.
“I just. I don’t know how we lost that bad,” James said again, face palming. “It had to be the weather. If it weren’t for that rain-“
“Or the bludger to my head,” added Caradoc.
“Or the 90 points they scored on us in the first hour,” said Nina.
“Or even that amazing dive Travers made for the snitch when it was above me,” Heather finished.
James swung his broom to rest over his shoulders as he threatened to replace them all with better, ‘more respectful,’ players next year.
Behind the group, Marlene and Sirius were planning something. Their heads were close together and Marlene was visibly bubbling with excitement.
“Okay, okay, okay… but how do we keep James from finding out?” Marlene spoke quickly, occasionally stumbling over words in her rush to get them out.
“He’s going to be facedown in bed for the rest of the weekend at least,” Sirius said with a wave of his hand. “The real problem will be getting firewhiskey. I’ve gotten kicked out of the Hogs Head ‘for good’ this time, according to Aberforth. He’s not really one to forgive and forget, either.”
“Leave that to me, he adores me.”
Sirius rolled his eyes, “no idea why…”
“We also need to sneak into the laundry so I can get some sheets for a banner,” Marlene plowed on, ignoring him.
“And I bet I can get the house elves to whip up a little food. But it all seems easy enough.”
There was a moment of silence, as they grinned at each other. Sirius calm and collected, and Marlene bouncing from foot to foot.
“Oh, this is going to be brilliant,” she said.
By the time the rest of the team noticed their absence, they were half way down the secret passage to Hogsmeade.
Marlene took care of the alcohol by giving Aberforth her cute, scrunch-nosed grin, and telling him stories of how all her older brothers had been doing since he’d last served them a drink.
Sirius mostly bought candy. By the time Marlene caught up with him his arms were nearly overflowing with sweets.
“I figured this was a big enough emergency,” he said with a shrug, causing some of the licorice wands to fall to the floor.
Back at the castle, things got a little harder.
“Okay, I’ll nip down to the laundry and you go to the kitchens?” Marlene said, peaking down the corridor for teachers or patrolling prefects.
“Sound like a plan,” Sirius put his hand out towards her like James did after a huddle.
Marlene put her hand over his, squeezing it for a second while they smiled like idiots at one another.
“Break!” they shouted, probably too loudly, before running off wildly into opposite directions.
Marlene only had a general idea of where the laundry was located, so she opened doors at random for some time. Once she finally found it, she was distressed to find Filch inside, singing tunelessly as he scrubbed a grubbily looking set of robes. Marlene had had enough run-ins with this still relatively new caretaker to know he did not mess around. So Marlene took her wand out and oh-so-carefully levitated a sheet from a nearby bin. How he didn’t see her, Marlene had no idea, though she suspected he was having far too much fun with his rendition of his sad little song about a wizard and his wand.
Sirius was not feeling as lucky down in the kitchens. Most of the house elves we’re eager and excited to serve, except for one. Her name was Lady, and Sirius was convinced that she had been at Hogwarts since it’s founding. Her ears drooped almost to her knees, which were bent with age like her back. She was always waving her tiny little cane at him, reprimanding him for being out of bed after hours. As she yelled at him, the other house elves went into a flurry of action that escaped her notice, preparing a small feast for the grieving Gryffindors.
They raced back up to Gryffindor tower, well past curfew. They were on such a high that they didn’t bother taking the corners carefully, or worrying about how much noise they were making, or even listening for a familiar Prefects voice saying “oh Merlin, here they come.”
Lily didn’t expect to completely collide with her classmates when they came barreling around the corner, but she found herself on the ground with candy, sheets, and Marlene McKinnon on top of her.
“Oh, hullo Lily, dear.” Marlene said looking down at her with an apologetic expression on her face.
“Erg- get off of me Marlene,” Lily groaned in response.
Sirius helped Marlene up, and Lily was helped up by her Ravenclaw patrol partner.
“D’you think you can tell me what you’re doing out here after curfew?” He asked.
“Well, you see-“ Marlene said, gathering the fallen loot up in her sheet.
“We just lost a Quidditch game,” Sirius continued, joining Marlene in picking after the collision.
“So I heard. It couldn’t have been that bad, could it?” Lily teased.
“Thanks Lily, always so kind” Marlene rolled her eyes.
“Anyways, I figured-“ Sirius continued with a dramatic flourish.
“I think it was me, Sirius”
“Okay, we figured that the team could use a little pick-me-up.”
“Spirit-lifter if you will.”
Lily bent down to help the two of them with their mess.
“Okay, everyone back in the common room is acting like someone died. Even though I think they’re over-reacting a little bit, maybe they could use… whatever it is you two are cooking up. ” Lily said casually.
“Might be that we could wait up for you,” said Sirius with a smile at the redhead.
“I wouldn’t want to start the festivities without my friend- er, I mean without Prefect supervision of course,” Marlene added.
Lily stood up, “I might take you up on that offer then.”
She turned to her patrol partner, adjusting her robes.
“I don’t think there’s anything to see here, right Jacob?”
“Well-“ he hesitated, “…okay. If you say so, Lily.”
“Just hurry up there, James looked like he was ready to jump off the Astronomy tower”
Sirius saluted her, then grabbed Marlene’s hand and continued down the corridor.
The mood of the Gryffindor common room was somber. The Quidditch team was sitting dejectedly by the fire, not saying a word. The only one missing was James, who had gone up to the dorm to sulk. Marlene immediately went into action getting everyone on board with the plan. Every one of the Gryffindors, the Quidditch team especially, enthusiastically attached themselves to the idea of a party to lift the mood that had surrounded the tower.
Trying to work as quietly as possible so James wouldn’t hear, the Gryffindors prepared for ‘celebration’. Lily and Marlene were in the corner, laughing hysterically as they painted the banner. Sirius ushered all underaged students out of the room by bribing them with candy. Remus helped set up the food, Peter got the drinks ready, and Dorcas took care of music. All they needed now was the Captain to come and join them in their now dubbed ‘Loser Party.’ Lily volunteered to get him, earning her a wink from Sirius before she disappeared up the stairs.
James face broke into a lopsided grin at the banner Marlene and Lily had lovingly made. It hung over the entire common room and read ‘CONGRATULATIONS, LOSERS’ in red and gold paint. On the bottom corner, Lily had painted a bruised and bandaged lion with a snake biting it’s tail.
Nearly everyone got completely sloshed. Lily was listening to some story James was animatedly telling with a goofy grin plastered on her face, Peter and Remus were having a rather unimpressive arm wrestling match, and Sirius had hooked Marlene around the waist as she passed to pulled her in for a dance.
They leaned against each other heavily, drinks in hand. Marlene snaked her arms around his waist and pressed her cheek against his chest. They drunkenly swayed in place for quite some time.
“I think I might have drank a lil’ too much, Sir-ius” Marlene slurred.
“Nonsense, you are the picture of sobriety, McKinnon.”
Marlene tilted her head up so her chin now rested on his chest, looking up at him with their faces inches apart. He could see the freckles that appeared on her face in the summer, and she could see the small scar on his upper lip. Her breath smelt like sweets and his like firewhiskey.
“We did good.” She said, closing her eyes and smiling like she had said something profound.
“We did.” Sirius agreed. “Though I think we might have messed up a little on the Quidditch playing part.”
“We played!” Marlene said stumbling slightly. “We just forgot to play well.”
“Oh yeah, if only James had remembered to tell us that we were supposed towin the game. Big mistake on his part.”
Marlene laughed her boisterous belly laugh, pressing her face back into his chest and pulling him closer.
At some point she disappeared off into the crowded room, after which found her with her arm around Caradoc Dearborn, flirting shamelessly. Caradoc was looking a little worse for ware, plainly still feeling the effects of the concussion. He was ‘hmming’ noncommittally at what she was chatting about, looking rather dazed. Sirius untangled the blonde from him and helped her to her feet.
“He is concussed Marlene, lets leave the poor boy alone.”
They ended up falling into an unoccupied armchair in the corner of the common room, Marlene splayed across his lap comfortably. She hooked her arms around his neck and settled into him. He was surprised to find himself completely serene. Her blonde hair was in his face, her boney butt was digging into his thigh, and she still stunk from the game, but he was completely happy to have her there with him.
“You know what I think we did wrong, Mar?” he said, taking mother swig of his drink.
“What’s that Sirius?”
“We split up too much. I feel like we didn’t get enough time to share in the adventure.”
She turned to him again, eyebrow quirked up and a smirk playing on her lips.
“Well then next adventure we’ll do differently,” she said.
They stared at each other, minds cloudy with firewhiskey and victory. He suddenly found himself leaning down, inching closer and closer to her face. It took her a while to process what was happening, and when she did her eyebrows shot up in surprise.
“Wait- really?” she blurted out, thickly.
Sirius paused, a bemused expression on his face.
“Uh, yeah.” He said.
“Oh…Right. Okay then.” she said, before leaning in to the kiss.
The memories of the party were only remembered in bits and pieces the next morning. When Marlene finally crawled her way out of bed that afternoon, she found Sirius down in the common room, smirking at her when she shielded her eyes from the light.
“Afternoon, Marlene,” he teased.
“How are you not hungover?” she grumbled, falling into the spot next to him.
“Just drink a bunch of water before you go to bed and you’ll be fine.”
“I know that, but how do you get ‘drunk you’ to listen to ‘future hungover you.” Marlene slumped over, placing her head between her knees.
“I feel something happened last night,” she said in a muffled voice.
“Something pretty damn great, right?”
Marlene snorted, “I don’t know about great, seeing how drunk we both were.”
“I take offense, Marlene.” Sirius said placing a hand over his heart. “I’m a great kisser, drunk or sober.”
“Well, I can’t remember anyways, so I’ll take your word for it.”
“No need for that. I could always give you a refresher.”
Marlene sat up, laughing at his smirk and raised eyebrows.
“I might need one, yeah. But Merlin I need something to eat first, I just vommed so much. My stomach is empty.”
Sirius let out a bark of laughter at that.
“Ooo, sexy Marlene. Careful, you won’t be able to get rid of me if you keep talking that way.”
Marlene took his hand and stood up.
“I’m a sex goddess. Come on, let’s go see if the kitchens have any pancakes.”
“Marlene, dear, where are your bags?” Dorea called down the stairs, “We’ll take them to your room. You’re happy with your usual room?”
“Any where far away from the boys and I’ll be happy, Dory!” Marlene laughed, grabbing the last of her bags and handing it to James who was already loaded up with suitcases and rucksacks.
“Merlin,” he grumbled, his glasses slipping off his nose as he struggled to carry her stuff up the stairs to where his mother was waiting, “Marls, how much stuff do you need for two weeks?”
“Hey, I need a lot to stay looking this fabulous,” she giggled, winking at Sirius.
He just snorted to himself and lugged her third suitcase up the stairs.
“It’s a good thing we love you, Marls, Merlin,” James complained once he reached the guest room Marlene took over every summer for two weeks.
She had followed the boys up and was surveying the room now, hands on her hips, “I know, love you too Jamesy – that one goes over by the bathroom!”
He rolled his hazel eyes and left, giving her the finger before Dorea entered.
“Now, we’ve got a few hours before dinner,” James’ mother said happily, resting a hand on her shoulder, “So you can unpack and then we can eat. Sound good?”
She left to start cooking their dinner, leaving Sirius and Marlene alone, Sirius flopped across her bed lazily.
“Black, that’s my bed,” she pointed out, shutting the door with a sigh, “I asked for help with my bags, not warming my bed up, thanks.”
Sirius just winked, “I can warm your bed up alright.”
“I’m not even going to reply to that…”
“Aw, you know you want me,” he smirked.
“And you know that I know I want you,” Marlene replied, bending down to start unpacking with a smirk, “But we are not shagging now.”
Sirius huffed.
“But if you want my company so much, you can help me put my clothes away,” she added slyly, “Then I’ll think about sex.”
He groaned loudly, “That’s practically bribery!”
“Are you really complaining, Black?”
Dorea called for dinner just before Sirius could mention anything other than clothes and Marlene just grinned when he huffed again.
James had purposely avoided her room for the few hours after she arrived, and looked relieved when they both turned up for dinner looking put together and not like they’d spent the time shagging – he knew they did it a hell of a lot but that didn’t mean he wanted to know about it. His surrogate sister and brother shagging? No thanks.
“We’ve got lasagne, is that okay?” Dorea checked, despite knowing exactly what foods all four of the other people in the house did and didn’t like.
James and Sirius both rolled their eyes. “Yes, Mum,” they said simultaneously and she beamed.
“Anything you cook it awesome, Dory,” Marlene added, slipping into the seat in between James and Sirius where she always sat.
Mrs. Potter smiled fondly at all three of them and her husband who had sat down as soon as he had smelled the amazing food. Serving up the massive dish of lasagne to everyone, she sat down herself and every started enthusiastically.
James was shovelling the meal in as fast as was humanely possible, ignoring the disgusted looks from Marlene next to him, Sirius was half heartedly eating with one hand and Marlene was actually eating like a human being.
Then she felt a hand on her bare leg from her left: Sirius.
She rolled her eyes and kept eating.
His hand moved a little higher, a little more, even further and she took a sharp breath in when she realised what he was doing.
Harold looked up with a small frown. “Are you alright, Marley?”
“Y-yes, sorry, it’s just hot,” she said quickly closing her eyes and taking a breath.
Sirius smirked into his own dish and took a bite carefully.
His fingers reached her knickers and Marlene’s mouth dropped open slightly as she clutched her fork tightly; what on earth was he thinking?
“Sirius…” she said through clenched teeth.
“Yeah, Lene, would you like the salt? Sure!” he said innocently, passing her the salt grinder with a small smile.
“No, I-“ she said, interrupting herself to gasp again as he slipped one finger carefully under the band of her knickers.
“Marlene, are you sure you’re okay?” James said with amusement.
“I’m fine,” Marlene insisted, glaring at Sirius again.
Dorea looked between the smirking Sirius and the unamused Marlene and smothered a smile. Giving Sirius her best mother face, she pointed a finger. “Now at the table, Sirius, do that in your spare time, please, for Merlin’s sake!”
James caught on and choked on a mouthful of lasagne. “Mum, no, he’s not –“
Harold too realised what his wife was lecturing Sirius on and snorted into his dinner. “That’s my boy, Sirius.”
“Don’t encourage him!” Dorea said, despite smiling. “Marlene, dear, would you like to move around to here?”
Once again, Marlene was choking, this time from laughter. “You – you just got called out on… on that! By your mother!”
Sirius was flushing ever so slightly. “Shut up.”
Eventually, with James patting her back to stop her choking, Marlene recovered and dinner continued calmly, Sirius fingers staying firmly on his knife and fork.
Sirius shut the door very quickly that night, lips not leaving her neck for a moment as she pulled him back towards her bed, a few remaining clothes still strewn all over it haphazardly.
“Sirius,” she breathed.
He smirked slightly and took his lips from her skin to look at her, eyes clouded with lust.
“I have been impatient all day, Lene, keeping my hands off you was fucking hard,” he pleaded.
“As proven at dinner,” Marlene said, smirking back, “Tut tut. You couldn’t even wait another hour?”
“Not when you’re wearing this damn dress…”
“Ah, yes, this dress,” she said, looking down at the blue sundress she was wearing, one she knew Sirius liked. “I don’t think I really need it any more, do you?”
He didn’t reply, just grabbed the hem and pulled it over her head as fast as he could, pushing her down on her bed and kissing her roughly.
Grinning to herself, Marlene did the same with his t-shirt, dumping it on top of her dress on the floor and wrapping her legs around his waist; dresses were easier to get off than trousers and she was struggling with his belt, mainly because the fact that he was kissing every part of her shoulder possible but partly because her hands were shaking ever so slightly.
“Sirius-“ she started but gave up when he kissed her mouth again making her gasp.
With one hand, he slipped off his belt and started to pull down his trousers with a little help from Marlene and added them to the growing pile of clothes.
She slid her arms around his neck and pulled him down to her to kiss along his rather lovely jaw as Sirius rested a hand on her hip, the other one unashamedly on her bum.
“Boxers off now,” she demanded, tugging on his hair in the way she knew would drive him wild.
Very happy to comply, Sirius laughed breathily and moved his hands to the waistband of his boxers when-
“NO, NO, I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS AT SCHOOL, FOR MERLIN’S SAKE KEEP YOUR HANDS AND – AND – PARTS TO YOURSELVES!” James yelled, slamming the door firmly before he had even opened it properly.
Marlene groaned and hit her head against the pillows. “JAMES!”
“Prongs, really? Why the hell would you even open the door?” Sirius pointed, “I think we made it fairly obvious what we were doing!”
“Mum made me get you, Marlene, she wanted to check with you our plans for tomorrow,” James protested, calling through the crack in the door.
“Tell her I’ll come later,” she sighed, rolling her eyes.
“Yeah, well, I’m not coming in there to get you what ever happens,” James muttered, rubbing his eyes, “You’ve re-scarred me for life.”
Sirius sniggered to himself as James hurried back down the stairs to report to his mother.
“Damn, I think he has a little sensor for whenever we’re like this,” Marlene pouted as Sirius gave up, mood destroyed, and lay next to her on the bed.
“I think he secretly likes to watch and imagine it’s him and Lily,” Sirius smirked, putting his arm around Marlene’s shoulders as she rested her head on his bare chest.
Still trying to catch her breath, Marlene laughed and slapped him lightly, “That’s creepy. Anyway they’re friends now.”
“What are me and you?” he said quietly, “Because I don’t think shagging regularly counts as friends.”
She thought for a moment, rolling onto her stomach s she could look at him properly. “We’re Sirius and Marlene,” she told him with a small smile. “That good enough for you?”
He ducked his head and chuckled, “You’re more than enough for me, Lene.”
They didn’t actually move from her bed until James braved her room in the morning and found them curled up together, the duvet tangled around them and her head still on his chest. He still thinks he has that picture somewhere, actually. He says he’s going to keep it for the wedding.

I'm setting up my queue for the gifts to all be posted throughout the day today. They'll be tagged with 'blackinnonsecretsummer' and your url, if you want to look for it that way. Although I recommend just looking through this blog if you can't find it in a few hours.
After going through everything that was submitted, three people were left without gifts submitted, so I'll be messaging those of you who said you were willing to do another.
To allow these people to make/write/whatever the extra gifts, I'm not going to post all of the gifts until Saturday.
Hey! Apologies for being absent today and not posting any reminders, but I've been a bit busy.
All gifts should have been submitted as of right now, but I'll extend the time for another couple of hours, because I'm not going to go through and make sure we have all of our gifts in until tomorrow morning. If someone's gift wasn't made, I'll be sure to contact one of the people who said they were willing to make an extra gift as soon as possible. Thank you!
